also claims that the trial, which opposed Chari's SRCM tm (and thus his
own) to the SRCM of the grandchildren of Babuji (SRCM of Shajahanpur) for thirty
years, has finally ended by ruling in his (Chari's) favor and rejecting the claims of the descendants of Babuji. We expect other sources (more objective) to validate or invalidate this claim.

Also, since its inception, the meditation method of Sahaj Marg was forbidden to young people under 18 years of age. The medium of Babuji has unilaterally lowered the limit to 15 years, says the SRCM.

Finally,
the SRCM is about to inaugurate a new annual observance by celebrating Kamlesh Patel's anniversary on September 28th, in Tiruppur. This brings the total (birthday parties) to four, one per quarter: February 2nd for Lalaji, April 30th for Babuji, July 24th for Chari and now also Sept. 28th for Patel.

Sahaj Marg and Chari's Hypocrisy
The meditation method of Sahaj Marg is not reserved for monks or hermits, it is adapted to the lifestyle of the modern world, tell us the masters of SRCM, in the family sphere as well as in the social sphere.
This is what Chari has restated in his New Year's message of 2014, a great and very improved method compared to those used by the sages of ancient times:
You see
how the practice of meditation has been modified age after age, even from
Lalaji Maharaj's time to Babuji's time. Because, if you have all read the literature
of the Mission properly, Lalaji Maharaj gave practice according to the person
who sat before him. To some he prescribed mantras, to some he prescribed puja,
things like that. But Babuji Maharaj refined it,
until today we have just to sit like this for an hour (…) So is this
not a wonder – a wonderful transformation in the yogic practice, which is one
of the things for which India is famous, which is our birthright? From millennia of meditation to a mere twenty, thirty, forty, fifty
years of meditation if properly done, we go to the goal. (…)”
This is the statement of a man who knows no other words than efficiency, profitability and productivity; an irrepressible will to accelerate the process of meditation, and to give an easily accessible spirituality goal.
The easily attainable goal of Sahaj Marg is the Central Region, the Brighter World. Hypocrisy, contradictions and lies.On 22 July 2013, six months ago, he recalled the words of Babuji stating that very few people would access the Brighter World: only Babuji beside perhaps two or three other people.
"(...) I told him, "Babuji, I know from my little personal experience of Sahaj Marg ultimately I think you'll be the only person to enter the Brighter World "- of the four or five thousand abhyasis at that time. He said : "Yes, this seems to be the case . Maybe there he will be two or three more." You know what he said? Himself and perhaps two or three more!
(...) And then nothing happens. Thus, gurus can come and go, India remains what it has remained, more and more corrupt every year. Just see the Indian scene of today, what it is, it stinks [it stinks]. So what do we do about it? Let us at least see Sahaj Marg as a small society (of people) that would be, if only a little, encouraging, comforting, and which would allow one to say: "Well, there is this small group of humans trying seriously to get out of this mess, this stinking pool of humanity [this stinking pool of humanity], who want to move out. Again , as Babuji said , 'One, or two, or three'. (...)"
What is this fantastic improved method of meditation if only two or three people are accessing the Brighter World? Hypocrisy, contradictions and lies.
The method of Sahaj Marg is neither faster nor more efficient than the proven methods of the ancient sages.
Why deny it? Why do we believe that the method has significantly improved since the olden days when so few people are likely to reach the goal that Babuji and Chari have set? Why such lies? Why does no one notice the incessant contradictions?
It's all about the business of communication. While failing to be better than others, one attempts to have it (the lie) believed. It is claimed that Sahaj Marg is superior so as to convince the gullible, those who absolutely want to believe whatever happens, even if nothing happens.
HYPOCRISY = a defect which comprises of disguising one's true nature; to pretend opinions, feelings and virtues one has not.

Sahaj Marg and Chari's Hypocrisy

rishis [sages] in the past meditating for 20,000 years – some from one yuga
[eon] to another. (...) That was how long it took in those excellent yugas full

those days it took so long – millennia, I repeat. And now in our life, in Kali
Yuga, full of its corruption, immorality, lack of peace, violence, avarice,
with all these negative qualities, our Masters have made it so easy
that Babuji Maharaj could say with conviction that if we practise Sahaj Marg
properly, every day systematically as prescribed, it is possible to achieve a
goal even higher than what the rishis achieved, in this lifetime.

Babuji and Lalaji
Lalaji was the first Hindu representative of a long Sufi tradition characterized by its syncretism with the Hindu Santmat. A disciple of Mawlana Fazl Ahmad Khan, he (Lalaji) became the 35th master of the Naqshbandiya Mujadidiya Mazhariya. Among his own disciples, his family moved towards Sufism and are at the origin of the Golden Sufi Center and NaqshMuMRa (a branch of the Sufi lineage: Naqshbandiya Sufi Brotherhood), others moved towards the (Hindu) Santmat, and mainly towards the Ramashram Satsang.
Having never rubbed shoulders with Lalaji (he met him 3 or 4 times), Babuji followed for many years the teachings provided within Ramashram Satsang. Imagining himself "hunted" by some of them who (allegedly) would make attempts on his life, he moved away and dreamed about Lalaji and Vivekananda having chosen him to found the Sahaj Marg (Easy Path), which he performs in 1945. The myth has it that Lalaji would have detected in him the "special personality" that the spiritual world was then waiting for. In a letter of 1963, Babuji explicitly breaks all ties he had kept with the Sufi masters, judging them to be totally overwhelmed.
A disciple of Kasturi claims that Babuji had Sahaj Marg, and Lalaji had Santmat. Later, Kasturi herself confirms that Sahaj Marg has nothing to do with Lalaji, Sufism and Santmat. So why does SRCM and Chari maintain the myth of a close link between Lalaji, Babuji and Chari, the so-called three masters of the Sahaj Marg mission?
Sahaj Marg, founded by Babuji has been completely revised and altered by Chari and the medium of "Whispers from the Brighter World" with the objective of a New Age and spiritualist globalization. Seventy years after its creation, Sahaj Marg has nothing to do with its origins, there has been a complete overhaul. Everyone has rewritten history in their own way, each has re-shaped the teaching.
Ultimately, whether this be the time of Babuji or of Chari, when the doctrine of the moment of the SRCM is always something new and recent, hence we see the importance of maintaining a myth that takes its roots in the deep past of major Hindu and Muslim saints.

The Corruption of Gurus is Inevitable
The Spiritual Leadership of Gurus
In his time, Lalaji had a few dozens of disciples and he influenced a few hundred sympathizers at most, in a small part of the state of Uttar Pradesh. It was difficult to travel, the crowds did not exist, and much less, globalization.
Today's leaders have nothing to do with this model because their area of influence has expanded to the entire planet. Any individual who is even slightly charismatic may address himself to 7 billion people wherever they are. Thus, Chari has more than 200,000 sympathizers, he has traveled the world from one end to the other and has remodeled Sahaj Marg to be accessible to any culture.
Leadership has changed because of the globalization of the public. But even more, the importance of the public greatly influences the leader and changes his attitude. Human nature being what it is, even animated by the best intentions in the world, no one can resist the lure of power indefinitely. Everyone eventually succumb to its charms for personal reasons. Today, no leader can remain indifferent to the temptation of power.
From the nineteenth century, anarchists have described perfectly the harmful effects of power over the individual and society. Libertarian currents have proposed the refusal of any delegation of power so as to prevent it from becoming concentrated in a few hands. In contrast, modern societies have opted, more or less successfully, for the establishment of checks and balances.
In the political sphere, one is forced to notice that modern democracies operate on the principle of separation of power where the citizens are supposed to control one another, not to mention the fourth power represented by the media. But it is clear that in terms of spiritual (or religious) leadership, there are no counterbalances. Nowhere else is the power thus held by a single person, the Guru.
According to Lalaji, one could follow several masters and this is what he did himself. In the system of Babuji, his disciples had to love their master without limit. For Chari, it is now simpler to obey and serve. The concentration of power has reached its peak. While he holds the spiritual power, he has also worked successfully to get the temporal power. And his disciples, it must be said, are happy to give it to him.

In spirituality, following a guru means to believe in his promises, but also and especially it is the best way to be used by him.

Divine Personality
From: Whispers from The Brighter World of Chari, to the "Astral Transmission" of Chillapa from "Institute of Universal Self-Consciousness Movement (IUSCM)", or the "Divine Administration" by the followers of Sister Kasturi, one swims in delirium.
Whatever the personality who speaks, whatever the organization, Sahaj Marg reveals an apocalyptic and frightening vision of the world of the future.
Ultimate reality, control of the universe and its total destruction are elements of the Divine Plan developed in the Frankensteinian laboratories of Sahaj Marg.
Here's a final example given on 09/10/2013 by "Ek abhyasi", disciple of Sister Kasturi. These are Excerpts of the words of Babuji as reported by him in "Divine Administration":
“Infinite or Ultimate Reality is the only Power. The creation and destruction are automatic following one another after a required interval of time as decided by the Ultimate Reality. God does not have mind otherwise He too will have to undergo the process of Bhoga of Sanskaras. God is pure power. As per plan of Nature there has always been a Divine Personality in human form to control the entire Universe. He possesses the Divine power as required in the circumstances. He comes in front only when there is a Divine necessity, otherwise He passes away unnoticed from this world. Though God always keeps a watch on the entire Universe, yet there is a freedom of action to all human beings. Divine intervention comes only when man crosses the limits in any field. In such cases Nature starts repairing work. A situation comes when even the limit of repairing work exhausts and in that case Nature adopts the process of destruction. At the time of total destruction, nothing remains and even the identities merge in the Ultimate Reality. Then again re-construction of the Universe starts. The cyclic process of Birth, Growth and Decay goes on.”

“ Normally a Divine personality controls the universe. Incarnations come down rarely. Special Divine personality descends on earth once only at the time of close of chapter of the Universe with maximum powers possible in human form. He is nearest to the Centre/Absolute Reality. He may remain in human form or not but his control and regime extends upto Mahapralaya. The other Personality or Incarnation in human form works under the guidance of Special Personality. All are to help in the execution of His Divine Plan.”
I thought Sister Kasturi more sane than Chari, I thought Sahaj Marg could be an interesting form of spirituality. In reality, there is nothing to save, no one to trust and focus on. All the disciples of Babuji agree on the Apocalypse and destruction to regenerate humanity.
The Sahaj Marg of Babuji and his disciples, whoever they are, is a pseudo-spiritual system, terribly far from any personal fulfillment, except for dreaming about the end of the world.
Better go back to a simple individual spiritual quest.

Sahaj Marg: Between Spiritualism and Spiritism
What then is Sahaj Marg? Meditation on the heart or the assiduous reading of "Whispers from the Brighter World"? Spirituality or Spiritualism (called "Spiritism" in Europe)? Life of the soul and the spirit or the dialogue with the spirits of the afterlife?
With Lalaji things were clear. His teaching of Sufism and Santmat had only one purpose: meditation, so spirituality. But from the beginning of Sahaj Marg, Babuji cultivated ambiguity: his ten commandments invited to meditation while his diary was already sinking into the throes of spiritualism (dialogue with Lalaji and Vivekananda). Sister Kasturi reconciled Sahaj Marg with meditation and the spiritual journey through her famous Anant Yatra. But Chari consigned everything to oblivion by introducing the concepts of obedience and service, incongruous in spirituality. The totalitarian drift of a master who wanted power, relegating spiritualism and spiritism to the roles of tools for personal ends, a simple practice for personal development.
Then, a new turn in 2005 with the discovery of the anonymous French medium, and the publishing of the "whispers" of Babuji. SRCM plunged into spiritualism to never get out.
Note that Sharad Chandra Saxena opposes Chari with the same weapons, those of spiritualism.

But Chari consigned everything to oblivion by introducing the concepts of obedience and service, incongruous in spirituality. The totalitarian drift of a master who wanted power, relegating spiritualism and spiritism to the roles of tools for personal ends, a simple practice for personal development.
Then, a new turn in 2005 with the discovery of the anonymous French medium, and the publishing of the "whispers" of Babuji. SRCM plunged into spiritualism to never get out.
Note that Sharad Chandra Saxena opposes Chari with the same weapons, those of spiritualism.

Babuji, Lalaji, and the Sufi lineage of Lalaji (NaqshMuMRa)
Elodie reminded us in her recent article: "Babuji (of Sahaj Marg) Claimed to Modernize Spirituality", that Babuji, in a letter dated Feb. 15, 1963 made some controversial statement about Lalaji's Sufism. Babuji wrote:
“The Mohamadan systems have all breathed their last and this, 'The Sahaj Marga' the only ONE has now emerged out in their place. Its teachings and methods widely differ from those of the old systems in many respects.”

At Sahaj Marg History Repeats Itself !!

1922: A young man from Shahjahanpur visits Ram Chandra of Fateghar (Lalaji) in his personal spiritual quest. He visits a few more times and maintains correspondence with Lalaji unti his death.
1931: Lalaji passes, leaving many close associates to continue the tradition, in the spirit of cooperation, without competition. This proceeds without issue for more than a decade.
1945: The young man from Shahjahanpur dreams that he should be the sole successor of Lalaji's tradition, and declares it to the world. He demands that all others submit to his Mastery and Mission or be "Cut Off". He dreams of Lalaji and others who dictate a rewritten history for him to establish his Mission upon.
1983: The man from Shahjahanpur has become old. Referred now as Babuji, he suffers in his last days. His Mission is divided before his very eyes. His health is failing. His star disciple P. Rajagopalachari, repeats the identical act that Babuji performed years earlier- self proclaiming is successorship as Master, at the expense of other senior disciples. He adopts a similar tradition of receiving messages from dead Masters to validate his successorship, rewriting history and threatening harsh consequences to his dissenters if they don't comply.
2012: P.Chari now suffers in his last days, as Babuji did before him. Similarly, he suffers from ill health, and an overly ambitions, power seeking Inner Circle. In an attempt to cheat history, he strives to prevent a similar end, but his first attempt to do so fails as the candidate he initially appoints unexpectedly "resigns" from the "Master in Waiting" position.
He strategically appoints one of the more ambitious of his inner circle. This time, he puts on a dramatic performance, offering to resign as President/Master. Armed with a recent letter from his long since dead Master, full of praise and support, he temporarily stalls those lusting after power, those eager to self proclaim their successorship, eager to create their own inner circle.
... Ahh, but, the story is not ended here!
- History cannot be cheated.
- The Inner Circle is dissolving into a Spiral.
- The environment is ripe for more dissent from within.
- Dissent from outside hungrily awaits as the Inner Circle dissolves.
It doesn't require channeling messages from the dead to predict the future. Just an honest historical perspective.

A Booklet, The Testament of Sister Kasturi
Before passing away, Sister Kasturi celebrated the birthday of Lalaji. On this occasion, she wrote a booklet entitled "Divya Prasad".
Primarily drawn from the autobiography of Babuji, there are excerpts of the interconnections (from beyond the grave) with Lalaji, Swami Vivekananda or Lord Krishna, but also other citations.
The powers of Babuji are (allegedly) limitless, he is the only master of the universe until the end of time. His powers are not transferable, even to any spiritual representative. Babuji only will lead the abhyasis to ultimate reality. For this, abhyasis have no other effort to do than to stay connected to Babuji, it is he who will provide the spiritual work. He is the servant of humanity, he treats the abhyasis like his brothers. A guru who considers himself the master, and considers the abhyasis as his disciples is the worst kind of guru that can exist.
Was it an ultimate message of wisdom aimed at the self-proclaimed successors of Babuji, such as Chari?

Sister Kasturi also declared in a speech dated 22-1-87: “The Divine Master of the Universe Shri Babuji Maharaj will have thousands of Spiritual Representatives until the fulfilment of His SANKALPA (viz; Spiritual Upliftment of Mankind) in Shri Ram Chandra Mission, but none of them will be His substitute as He Himself, according to Lalaji Saheb, cannot produce his Substitute. Shri Lalaji Saheb once said to Pujya Babuji Saheb, “You cannot make your Substitute because you yourself are not aware of the limits of your power. Moreover, Spirituality is also not a subject of inheritance like another Material object.” He is the master of Divine Power and has descended on Earth to take the abhyasis upto Ultimate Reality.”

Who am I?
My report on Sahaj Marg
The new readers do not generally read the blog from its beginning, and they sometimes wonder about my path. It is perhaps worthwhile to elucidate.
I was brought up and bottle-fed on Sahaj Marg from my early childhood. My parents met Babuji and became his most ardent disciples. Then they renewed their loyalty to Chari and to the Shri Ram Chandra Mission. My whole family is steeped in Sahaj Marg.
For me, the question did not arise. I followed this path which met my expectations and all my spiritual education. I met my boyfriend and we began to raise our children in the same way.
Everything changed in 2005. Chari turned into a juggler so as to sell us his book Whispers at 250 € (Euros), the satsang of the large gathering at Vrads (Denmark) was interrupted for an auction. Obviously this was just the straw (that broke the camel's back), I had long wondered about some things that I sometimes did not understand and which caused me some trouble. But when I turned to others for answers to my questions, they did not answer except to stigmatize me for my lack of confidence and to reproach me my doubts: I was a bad abhyasi, the discussion ended there.
That's what led me to create this blog. Since we could not openly question within SRCM, I brought the discussion out. Convinced at the time of the spiritual value of Sahaj Marg and the greatness of our Master Chariji, I feared the excesses of the organization. Hence the title of the blog: So That Sahaj Marg May Live (Long Life Sahaj Marg), free from the excesses of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, by a desperate abhyasi. Because I hoped with all my heart to see Chari and the SRCM get back on track and correct these errors. I still believed that the movement could reform itself, and get back to basics.
The following years have unfortunately done nothing but reinforced my concerns about the proliferation of the driftings (going off-track). Chari's "gift" reserved for the handful of the wealthiest abhyasis in 2006, was it a miscommunication or a voluntary and assumed drift (slide, slip)?
Meanwhile, research undertaken by some on this blog have revealed some hidden truths. The Sufi past of Lalaji, the absence of a unique spiritual lineage to Chari, and instead, the bushy family-tree of successors to Lalaji as well as to Babuji. Today, the spiritual work of Narayana and sister Kasturi is closer to the spiritual heritage of Babuji, etc. Even to the current project of the medium and Chari, similar to a paperback series of science fiction novels, apocalyptic and populist in overtones. I have long kept my consideration for Chari, but it has faltered and eventually disappeared. The racket (scam, con-job) of the medium has definitely opened my eyes.
There were good things in the teaching of Sahaj Marg, I'm still confident, but there is more than bad in the business concept that eventually replaced it, and which Chari was the main architect, even if the abhyasis have really helped. The master/disciple relationship has changed considerably in the SRCM as elsewhere. Now, with the globalization of spiritual groups, followers idolize an icon and the media gurus all succumb to the lure of power and money. My spiritual aspirations have never decreased, they are for me an essential necessity, they are part of my education, but I do not believe for a moment in the ability of groups and their spiritual gurus to respond appropriately. I feed my spirituality by scrounging here and there what seems to me the best, without ever focussing on a teacher or a particular group.
I should have stopped this blog long ago, once really separated from Sahaj Marg, and my mourning ended, the better to look elsewhere and to turn the page. But my whole family, my old relationships, all are still involved in SRCM. I saw their spiritual quest become an unfailing faith and blind obedience to the most vile absurdities, leading them to worship today what they rejected yesterday.
In the name of those values which they have instilled in me, and which I have never renounced, render them to me as I have known them, and not as they have become.

Babuji's Messenger, Rose comes Clean ... sort of!
I recently received this e-mail from someone who calls herself Poonam Thaper, (user id?). I also enclose my reply.

I would like to post a note on your blog from Rose. Since writing my story on the blog, i have discovered i was wrong about Sahaj Marg. Just because i had a bad experience doesnt mean it is a bad system. I am sorry for writing the story on the blog, i did it out of anger, hurt and dissapointment and it was wrong of me to do that.I feel Sahaj Marg is not a bad organisation-the medidation they practice is actually excellent when practiced in the correct way-i never actually practiced it properly which is why it went wrong for me.
Im sure you will speculate that someone from SM has made me do this but they havent-i am doing this on my own because i believe i was wrong.

The purpose for that condoning and endorsation, using the mouth of the deceased Babuji and/or Lalaji, is disrespectful of the dead, to say the least, but is yours alone and has never been mine. I will not protect you anymore and will expose your Spiritualist blog (a scam), as I expose other Spiritualist groups.

This is an example of the "nebulous" PR statements that spiritualist RELIGIONS and Scammers use ... These are their "scientific facts" about spirituality (or spiritualism) gathered as "evidence" in their "scientific method"? It sounds more like gossip or Fairy Tale, does it not??
This is from their own site (their sub-section, Masters or as they call themselves, GUIDES, until they die and then then they are "spirits" who "whisper". But only so that a special few, some "mediums", can hear. The current Master, the self-named "representative" of this "spirit" or ghost does not seem to be able to receive these "whispers" directly. And then, the SUFI Master, Lalaji, still has his own "successors" and his own society, so he must not have been in real "super-consciousness" because he would not have appointed anyone else ... and that is what he did ... his LEGITIMATE successors are everywhere ... Their PR is an invention or a fabrication, and is sold using a fantasy "intro" of children's fairy tales, similar to: Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away... etc...etc... It's hard to believe that they want anyone to believe anything presented that way. It's even more difficult to believe that some abhyasis are so gullible and naive that they actually believe that "tall tale" and then attempt to spread it to others as their evidence, their "proselytizing" tool to prove that Babuji was actually chosen by Lalaji as his "spiritual representative", and that Sahaj Marg was to replace all the other Sufi organizations. This "it has been said... ", is their evidence? Their PROOF ?? If a vacuum cleaner salesman comes to one's door and attempts to sell his product with: "it has been said...", then any fool would ask for the name and/or the contact number of that person and speak to them directly ... specially when its about a "product" one is asked to take into the Great Beyond, in one's ETERNITY, as one's beliefs.

And Sahaj Marg(tm) is aimed at ADULTS? Not really... Babuji and Lalaji were targeting adults over 18 years old. And Lalaji intructed his "men" to avoid the company of "women, children, and the rich". Chari wants a dynasty and to go down in history so they (his management team) are targeting women (believers in fantasies, and fiction) to bring the CHILDREN (also believers in fantasy and fiction) ...
But the INTERNET will be the tool that will expose the charlatans, the SPIRITUALISTS and the scammers. Spiritualism is not Spirituality.
Some don't believe "evidence" when it is presented to them, but expect all to believe a story that is obviously made up as it begins with: "It has been said".
One could add:... by the profiteers, the scammers, the liars, the weavers of fairy tales and fantasies, the spiritualists who pretend to be SPIRITUAL. Those who usurp the genuine techniques of other "HONEST" men: (Patanjali (raja yoga), Lalaji (sufism)), and pervert (modifying) them so as to "SELL" to the gullible who support the "fast-food marketplace" of Spiritualism and the cults of a personality... ie. Sahaj Marg(tm). All for Spirituality? Or is it really to make more money and satisfy the EGO of the management Pyramid, by being adulated by naive women and greedy men?

The REAL story is that 14 years after Lalaji's death (1931), although Babuji had met him only a few times, according to his JOURNALS, and Lalaji had passed him over for preceptorship, he founded his own Shri Ram Chandra Mission (1945) and named himself President and claimed that Lalaji had told him in his dreams that he was his successor. He did not join (and was not asked to join) any of Lalaji's societies even though he attended a few satsanghs.
No Board of Directors from Lalaji's organizations accepted Babuji as Lalaji's successor, nor did any group name him Lalaji's successor ... Babuji named himself.
And then, 52 years later (1997), Chari did the same thing to Babuji's organizations as he attempted to do to Lalaji's MISSION (see on NaqshMuMra Nexus, site of Lalaji's family, Babuji letter of Feb. 14, 1963). HE TOOK IT OVER, named himself Master and President, without asking permission. (see State of California registry for societies)
In business, it's called a "hostile take-over". In Human terms, it is called: Immoral, un-ethical and dishonest.
The Mayans would say: It was meant to be (their "long-count" calendar is predominated by multiplbes of 52 (26, 13, etc). You will also notice the pre-dominance of 14 in this whole story. 1+4= 5, the five-pointed star of Magic!

Faith, Dogma, Truth!

"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as the judge in the field of truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods." (Einstein).
Fortunately, there are scientists and artists happy to "not dispute or assert but whisper results to his neighbour" (poet John Keats).
Faith turns to dogma where there are sides, and where one side insists it sees Truth unseen by the other. And dogma leads to war: I am right, you are wrong, we are invincible, they are the enemy. Faith is the "substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" (Christian Bible, Hebrews 11:1).
Dogma is the insistence that what is unseen is really there.

According to Alexis, the affectionate name given to Babuji Maharaj has also been attributed to two (at least) other great disciples of Lalaji, Shyam Lal Saxena et Shyam Bihari Lalji.
(Notice also the "Babu's" ("ji" is a title of respect, as "sir") among Lalaji's disciples)

That makes two new Babuji Maharaj, both prior to Babuji and Chari of Sahaj Marg. When we know that Babuji of the SRCM has long attended the Ramashram Sikandrabad, we can assume that there he met more than once Shyam Lal Saxena, called "Babuji Maharaj" a great friend of Krishna Lalji. He bore the same name as Lalaji, did he want to have the same nickname as two (2) of his disciples?

Lalaji Maharaj (Mahatma Ram Chandra ji Maharaj) (From Ramashram.org)
Param Sant Mahatma Ram Chandra ji Maharaj was a complete yogi, a complete guru and a complete brahm veta. Prior to Mahatmaji, the knowledge of the powerful concept of chakra-bhedan (chakra piercing? Kriya Yoga) had almost got extinct. This secret kernel of truth was guarded fiercely by those privileged few who had intimations of this knowledge. Most of them either did not want to propagate it or disclosed it to only a few handpicked ones. In the Naqshbandia Khandaan (house?) of the Sufis, this knowledge was being passed on from heart to heart. However, because of religious divides and societal disapproval, neither could the Hindu be a willing disciple of a Sufi, nor could a Sufi saint happily transfer this knowledge to the Hindus.
This reality veiled in secrecy was unfolded by Shri Ramchandra ji Maharaj who refused to be deterred by social and religious prejudices and attained the knowledge of chakra-bhedan from Param Pujya Sadguru Maulana Fazal Ahmad Khan Saheb. After perfecting the art of the chakra-bhedan vidya (knowledge of chakra piercing? Kriya yoga?) , he simplified the very strict rules and demanding lifestyle required for learning the adhyatma vidya (spiritual knowledge) to be accessed by the layman.
It seems that Babuji and Chari have the same attitude towards the leadership and the disciples of the groups they join and then belong to as "ABHYASIS". If they are not given the controls of the society as "president" or as "spiritual representative", they either take the name of others (the Master), or re-register their society (using the same name) in another country, or claim that the society they once belonged to has now "breathe their last" and that they, in their "dreams" or "fantasies", have been appointed "successor to the Master" and are to be followed by everyone. One can surmise that the old societies are to be dismantled or handed-over to them... sort of like a surrender to a "conqueror" !!
Is there not "EGO" in that ? Is that not "divisive", and not very humble or "spiritual"?

Lalaji, also known as Ram Chandra, became the founder of a Hindu spiritual tradition, the Ram Chandra Mission.
This is not accurate. Lalaji passed away in 1931. Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur (aka Babuji) formed his Shri Ram Chandra Society in 1945. Babuji was a disciple of Lalaji, having met him a few times before Lalaji's death in 1931. In 1930, Babuji was passed over as preceptor and as "region-in-charge" of Lalaji's Sufi organization because of: "Narrowness of heart". Lalaji passed away less than one year later, in 1931.

I studied Sufism for a while when I left SRCM. In fact I corresponded with and met Lewellyn Vaughan Lee. I spend some time with a 100 year old Sufi who was a direct disciple of Lalaji's.
I've subsequently lost interest in Sufism as there is far too much male based hierarchy imposed upon it. Other than Irina Tweedie, name one widely acknowledged female Sufi teacher...
What I found intriguing about Sufism, however was Sufism's roots which pre-date Islam. Mohammed embraced these wandering mystics as his own and they became a part of Islam. It is likely that these mystics were of the same tradition as the Magi who visited Jesus at his birth. Prophet Daniel of the old testament was of the Magi tradition. The Magi were far closer to Shamans than any formal religion or spiritual practice.
These ancient mystics touched literally every religious movement if not inspired them. Pieces of this ancient knowledge still exists. Pieces of it can be found scattered in Shaman traditions which can be found in every culture in some form or another.
I have found little or none of the remnants of this ancient wisdom in the established religious and spiritual practices. It simply cannot exist there as this knowledge empowers the individual and these organizations seek to dominate and control the masses.
Babuji was correct in stating that a spiritual path can be found in the life of a householder. He failed to offer a practical and meaningful system that empowers a householder to be on that path however as what he established was yet another hierarchical system that forces the "masses" to forgo their own journey and rely on spiritual blessings bestowed upon them by an exclusive and singular master.
