May 27, The Express / The Impartial Headline: "Strange gurus want to buy a large lot in Neuchâtel" and reveals that the SMSF has placed a classified advertisement in its columns as follows: "Foundation to encourage improvements in Human Relations is seeking to buy 40,000 to 70,000 m2 of land."

For several months the rumors have swelled that the SRCM wants to create an extensive infrastructure in Switzerland that could accommodate a very large audience for big events.
Here it is confirmed ...

Indeed, searching for 4-7 hectares, "all guarantees of tranquility" in Western Switzerland, Fribourg and Neuchatel region is preferred; it is not nothing.

Note that the spiritua(list?) side of Sahaj Marg and SRCM is totally occulted in favor of the more neutral term "Foundation" whose goal it will be appreciated at its true value: "to improve human relations" of course, knowing that it is a little controversial anyway!

Strange gurus want to buy a large lot in Neuchâtel (Switzerland)

Active in 90 countries, Shri Ram Chandra Mission attracts many followers. A meditation center could emerge in the township.

MYSTICISM -

"Foundation with aims to promote better human relations is looking to buy 40,000 to 70,000 m2 of land." This advertisement which appeared recently in our columns further states that "all guarantee of peace" are desired.

What kind of organization may well be behind this bizarre ad? The trustee (agent... broker?) who receives the Valais offers anticipates the question: "This is not a cult. These people are open in their philosophy, which remains outside of any politics or religion. "

Owner of a building in Lausanne, this "international foundation which works in Yoga" is looking for larger premises in Switzerland. For reasons of space and accessibility, Neuchâtel and Fribourg regions are preferred.

A federal judge blinded by the great Master

Except that the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, that is what it is called, drags behing a sufurous reputation. "We are following this organization for many years, and it is known for its sectarianism. Followers have already called us for help, "says Danièle Muller-Trulli, president of the Swiss Association for the Defence of the family and the individual (ASDFI). Also the vice-president of the European Federation of Centres of Research and Information on Sectarianism (FECRIS), she recognized the warning signs in the stories of these victims. "The Shri Ram Chandra Mission practices mind control, indoctrination of children, hypnosis and leads to psychological dependence on the Master."

This is the reason that led a judge to resign from the Swiss movement in 1996. Articles in "24 Hours" and "NZZ" reported that the magistrate, elected to the Federal Court in 1987 in the ranks of the UDC, was forced to distance himself from the guru Rajagolopalachari. The influence of the latter endangered the independence of the courts required by his function.

Suffering of victims

It is not a matter of spirit. The damage is often very real for the disciples and their families, warns Danièle Muller-Trulli. "The most common effects are of tearing apart the family, when the follower wants to follow the increasingly restrictive dictates. Divorce is also common, when the spouse realizes that the household money disappears ... "

She has us follow the documents of the Task Force on the movements of thought and the protection of the individual (Gemppi). The evidence collected there in France are troubling. "After two years I was in a suicidal state, I was told it was normal. The objective was, in effect, to become a living dead, "says Elodie. "When I express skepticism vis-à-vis the ability of the Master to project his divine light, he sends me to watch a quick video on the sect," said another fan.

The Yoga movement should not be hampered in its expansion, the ASDFI regrets. "Sects settle happily alongside each other in this country!"

No legal provisions

Questioned in a report by the Management Committee of the National Council in June 2010, the Confederation has not seen fit to develop a specific policy on sects.

When contacted, the Public Ministry is not aware of Neuchâtel having special legal provisions to contain sectarianism.
