Worshiping False Gods....

Can there be so many Gods ?

A recent incident about one of the sects in India made me think that, Can there be so many Gods? Leader of each sect claims that he is the one who will ensure the soul meets the source. I thought of my experience of joining a religious sect and thought what happened to me.

A friend of mine took me to one of the local preacher of the Group and he introduced me to meditation. I was already in an emotional turmoil and was very prone to the suggestions of this preacher. He introduced me to the so called transmission from the main preacher of the sect and mentioned that he is the Master and we all humans are his Slaves. He introduced me to a prayer as well which was having a similar meaning. There were so many suggestions by this local preacher that I went in the flow of those suggestions and started experience similar auto suggestions as well. But today when I look back, I feel as if I was victim of hypnosis. I joined this sect, left it, rejoined it again and left it and then rejoined once again. And in all these years I faced a lot of downfall in my career. From a star performer I became the least performer who failed in each of his job. I started feeling that I am enlightened soul who has come to this earth with a purpose. I started on a mission to change the world rather than trying to change myself.

When I look back I feel that I was made emotionally weak and weak. I went into a deep depression and at times and mania at others. I started experiencing the hallucination and started feeling smell while meditation, at times visualizing flowers, light, darkness and so on. But when I look back I feel that the first few sessions were of hypnosis. Then the self sessions were of auto suggestion which began with a prayer which lead to further auto suggestions. Then there were group sessions which were infect done to create Group Effect so that we all believe what we are doing. In the name of obedience to the so called Master, I started destroying my life . I became weak and weak and was not able to make a decision about myself. At times I used to feel in the so called individual sittings that the master is guiding me to a path. But was it the suggestions made to my mind in those hypnotic sessions or the suggestions made my the local preacher in my head.

There was a time when I used to take my own decisions or my family helped me to take it but then there was a time the master started taking those decisions. I started going into state of mania (as the psychiatrist call it) and felt as if I am reaching a state of enlightenment. I resigned over five -six jobs in that mania phase thinking that I the best and the people who are with me have limited knowledge or have a limited vision. No doubt I started more and more research in a topic of my research and reached a level of success but the mania and depression lead me to be successful at times and lead to great downfall at times. Some psychiatrist told me that I went into state of Bipolar Mood disorder, others opined that since I felt the hallucination effect , it as schizophrenia, others looking at my environmental evolution said its Borderline Personality Disorder. But when I look back I have my doubts that it was impact of hypnosis. Anyways I don't want to blame anyone else, when my mind surrendered to someone else.

Now when I look back I question myself that Is God too weak that he needs a messenger to reach to its people ? Does God wants that we stay away from the family and practice meditation and leave behind the beautiful creations of life. When its choosing between family and master many people choose the master for they were conditioned for the same. I studied many cults / sects / religions and realized that almost all cults are propagating with a hidden motive of mind control. Some do it with their preaching, some do it with things like meditation (or I call it hypnosis).

Any ways many Indians do get influenced by speeches of political leaders during elections then what stops them to get influenced by a weekly sermons. These cults actually brainwash individuals and get them to do things for their limited means. Some do it to spread terrorism and others in name of peace fill their coffers with donations. It is very difficult for an individual to move away from many of these cults once they flow into those suggestions and they are brainwashed. I studied many cults / sects / religions and realized that almost all cults are propagating with a hidden motive of mind control. Some do it with their preaching, some do it with things like meditation (or I call it hypnosis). There are others who know that millions want to stay healthy and they start exploiting them on things like pranayam. I discussed with many thought leaders and they were unanimous in their view that not only these religious gurus but everyone in the world is exploiting the emotional insecurity of the other. And if an individual is emotionally secure then he will never visit these gurus. The past sayings are not without any meaning. Remember, “Dhukh mae simiran sab kare sukh mae karne na koi”. So when a person is emotionally secure he does not need to find solace in these Gods and Goddess but when he is emotionally weak he looks out to those auto suggestions. Even the astrologers do the same and they are most visited when anyone is in distress. Infect in many countries including India intelligence agencies are using this religious gurus and horoscopes as a trap for individuals.
And this is how the control is managed and abused.

It was the individuals emotional weaknesses which were exploited by these so called religious leaders. Let us look into the traditional concept of Hinduism. At one time it says that God is One and on other it puts in so many deities before us. Was it the financial exploitation by the pandits in name of God and religion. And then the each religion or cult face a battle for control of property or the heir of the so called spiritual leadership. Why these leaders who are messengers of Good run after control, power and money. If you are God or its messenger why then this fight for earthly desires. All sects and religions have built their own fortresses , properties, ashrams which collect millions in name of charity. There are many cases pending in the various courts against these religious sects over control of property and claim to be heir. We must just look into the judis link in the website supremecourt.nic.in and we can realize the truth.

I tried to look into definitions of the world cult. The psychological definition of the practices within a cult is an institution which uses coercive persuasion which suppresses the ability of people to reason, think critically, and make choices in their own best interest. Another definition said that "A cult is a group or movement exhibiting a great or excessive devotion or dedication to some person, idea or thing and employing unethically manipulative techniques of persuasion and control (e.g. isolation from former friends and family, debilitation, use of special methods to heighten suggestibility and subservience, powerful group pressures, information management, suspension of individuality or critical judgment, promotion of total dependency on the group and fear of [consequences of] leaving it, etc) designed to advance the goals of the group's leaders to the actual or possible detriment of members, their families, or the community."

Truth, purity and selflessness are the foundation of any religion and do we see anything like that. There are great individuals who do a lot of good and are principled in their life. They attain a status of God and there are individuals who may not have done good attain a status of the demon. But is it correct to see every individual as Black or White. Every individual lives in shades of Grey. But when the history is written individuals who won the battles of past are renounced as all White and others as all Black. Is it not distortion of history. There had been many good individuals who have worked in this world for the good of the fellow human beings like Sh. M.K.Gandhi , Mother Terasa, Bhim Rao Ambedkar . But is it correct to name one as Mahatma, other as God and the third as Messiah of the deprived class. And when we will look down the history say thousand years down the line we will see many of the humans of today recognized as God / Goddess of future. We already see many temples being erected of many thought leaders and actors. Do we realize that future generations will believe them as Gods ?

Each religion talks about enlightenment but can we fight a darkness with other darkness. Many individuals on earth decide to follow themselves and other few needs the spiritual guides. But the fact remains these spiritual leaders are human like you and me. A partial list of various religious groups / cults as is available at from wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_groups_referred_to_as_cults_in_government_documents

There are many sects which had been in news for mass suicide / terrorism / riots. Is it the message of peace which is foundation of all religions. Anyways I will conclude that when we look for a Master we need to look for a master of own self. And wish that all individuals may realize this bitter truth of life. I could never have realized this truth of life if I had been in state of mania or depression but thanks to my doctor, I could realize the truth in the stable state of mind.

SRCM, French Miviludes Report and the UN DPI Program

Taken and translated from an article by Alexis on Elodie's French Blog: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg

Alexis has two blogs: SRCM=Danger and The Sahaj Marg Project

Comments by 4d-don: Thanks to the efforts of one abhyasi who is a staff of the UN in Europe, the SRCM has been accepted into the "UNDPI" (Department of Public Information). Although such "dictatorial" and "totalitarian" organizations have willingly withdrawn their membership (ex: Jehova's Witnesses) when it became known that they were not "democratic", the SRCM continues to claim to represent the "ideal of the UN" as it acts counter to the UN ideals, thus being a "delinquent" member of the UNDPI. UNDPI

It is not just the SRCM which is benefiting from its status of NGO associated with the UN DPI Program. Here is what the very hot off the press report MIVILUDES, French Interministerial Mission for vigilance and fight against sectarianism (cultism), has to say.

Exerpt from the report of the MIVILUDES 2008 (pp 53-54) in Strategies of influence abroad in 2008: the example of the actions of the sectarian movement at the United Nations.

Amalgamation, confusion entertained, and the impact of the announcement:

The UN system is highly complex for the general public which retain but its role (or goal) - promoting ideals such as peace, development and respect for human rights - as well as an easily identifiable logo. Any reference to the UN is a sign of respectability and some movements do not hesitate to use it, even for some, to abuse it.

It is thus that the claim of "consultative status" contains several internal categories which organizes the NGO affiliates into "hierarchies". This status must not be confused with the "association of NGOs with the Department of Public Information Program of the United Nations, which only allows access to the premises, to receive information but in no way do they participate in conferences.

As such, the example of Friends of United Nations cited in the 2006 report, an NGO known to have participated in actions in France along with Scientology, is instructive. On its website, the organization which displays a logo that appears to plagiarize without "inhibition", the UN logo, later presents itself rightly, as "associated with the Department of Public Information United Nations (DPI). This may suggest that it has the prestigious status and was incorporated into the UN system, while the mere association to the DPI does not automatically allow it. But who can make the difference, apart from specialists in these issues? Sectarian lobbies know this and they play without scruple on this complexity.

Using Babuji to get RESPECT and OBEDIENCE for Chari!

From SRCM (California-1997) Guru's "Recent Speeches":

Comments by 4d-don are in red italics

The First Exposure to the Guru

Talk given by Master on 17th April, 2009 at Tiruppur, India.

(...)

I remember now the first Basant Panchami I attended in Shahjahanpur. In '64, Basant Panchami had already finished. My father had in fact been made an abhyasi during Basant Panchami. Because unfortunately on that occasion, from Chennai I had to go to Bombay on my company work, so I missed. This was before my visit to Shahjahanpur. So I became an abhyasi only after I returned from Bombay.

In '65, I attended Basant Panchami. I had only heard of it, that it was Lalaji's birthday, the day on which (as Babuji said), this divine personality came down to earth. We were very few; I think in those days Madras had three abhyasis (my father, myself and one Reddiyar - a tall person who lived just opposite to Mr. Vira Raghavan) and some people came from Tirupati I think, where there had already been a centre. In fact, it was one of the first few centres. (According to old abhyasis in Europe, and mentionned in Chari's autobiography (ego?), Chari's dad, after being part of the SRCM for a few weeks, was traveling across Europe claiming to be a "Master" of SRCM. That is the respect for Babuji, and the arrogance that finally divided the SRCM (California-1997) from the disciples of Babuji. This is also the stage where the "commercialization" of the SRCM began with the purchase of castles in France, Switzerland, that brought about the warnings from Dr. Varadachari, now Master of the ISRC break-away group, founded by his son, Narayana)

(...)

Because even today, I am very much at home in Uttar Pradesh. I may criticize the way people live there, the filthy way in which they conduct themselves, and lack of manners, their arrogance, their pride, you know - all things which generally people who have nothing, have. (The wealthy judging the POOR, and claiming less "arrogance" or "pride"? WRONG!!)

It is a strange thing, but one who has nothing has more arrogance than one who has everything: more arrogance, more pride. (Silly and Sad... Pre-JUDICE) I have known beggars (made up story and almost an outright LIE) being very proud and when somebody gives them a little more than they expect, they look at the fellow and say, it must be black money, you know things like that. They (who are "they"? more prejudice and made up "morality", and falsely attached to the imaginary "POOR") have no respect for the giver because they know what they are worth, what they deserve. And when they get too much out of charity, they hate the charity. So you will all have experience in life that when you try to do good you are always hated, people don't like you, people avoid you, people calumnise you, talk evil of you. (not the case for some...many, ... for some, the intention behind the charity is more "obvious" than the action of giving, and hence the RE-ACTION Chari talks about. Such as sucking "charity" money from other countries to build a "private school" for the children of the wealthy, and call it "CHARITY".)

(...)

This attitude of holiness, of a reverence which comes from your heart and not from your head - we don't find it now. Perhaps it is the comfort that we have in our ashrams today. (That is not the case for most of us... Just for the likes of YOU!! Is it not time for you to TRANSFORM and CHANGE rather that preaching at the POOR and the SIMPLE... US)

(...)

I remember some people who used to sit and eat with total concentration on the food. And Babuji used to whisper into my ear, "Look, they are eating like pigs." (arrogance that comes from Chari, not Babuji) Only food! They have forgotten Master, they have forgotten spirituality, gulp gulp, like that, you know, and talking to themselves: "Chapatti is cold, daal is cold." What the Master gives is amrit (nectar). To think of it as food, makes you go into the error of thinking that this is cold, this is hot, this is chapatti, I am a South Indian, I would have liked rice, or things like that you see, "There is only one small piece of aaloo [potato] in the daal…" (Don't believe any of it... It is a "made up" tale for the sake of "manipulation" so they can give you "cheap food" and charge you more so as to maximize their PROFITS)

You know how much we suffer from our sophistication, our civilization. (you mean "your", we don't live like that) It has led me to believe that civilization is an enemy of spirituality. (Another enemy for Spirituality according to Chari. First it was the "bloggers" who were the "enemies of Spirituality, and now all of "civilization" and watch it become the "WESTERN Civilization". It is easy for Religions and cults such as SRCM (California-1997) to profiteer from GUILT!! ) In a sense which western people may not understand, the more sophisticated, the more educated, the more civilized, the more we are out of touch with God and more in tune with science. Tentatively (and purely as a matter for discussion and future thought), we can almost say that knowledge is the devil. (What a silly statement!! I guess that is why the wealthy in INDIA want to profiteer from our western "MONEY" and our "technology" but still want to claim that their "SPIRITUALITY" is superior?? Wrong!! That is so RELIGIOUS ... first is was: the MIND is the Devil, then, LOGIC is the DEVIL and now: KNOWLEDGE is the DEVIL but not Chari's knowledge that he, as a "chemical engineer" and the CEO of a Tube Mill for one of the largest consortium in India (TTK Group), used to enrich himself and the "shareholders" at the cost of the workers and the PLANET (resources and pollution). Because knowledge makes us lose faith in what we should have faith in, and makes us have faith in what we think we know, forgetting the fact, which as a famous saint or lady of South India called Avvaiyar said: what you have learnt is but a fist-full of mud; what you have not learnt is the Himalayas - even to the best educated. ( I agree with her, not with Chari)

And of course modern neurosciences confirm, especially brain, science of the brain, knowledge of the brain, the greatest people have said that, the wisest human being has not used more than nine percent of his brain capacity. And with that we (you) are so proud, we (you) are haughty, we talk of Nobel prizes, we talk of intellect and stimulation and foolishness, ill-educated beggars - pointing to Indians on the street. And unfortunately this attitude came when judging or trying to judge the guru himself. (Oh no! They are judging the GURU?? It should be the GURU judging the "serfs"... The revolution has started) People talk you know, "Arre," and they would shyly ask Babuji, "How much have you studied?" He would say, "Maybe fourth or fifth class," and laugh hilariously. The laugh was, I later understood, telling them, try to understand what you can do with the barest education. It is unnecessary. Even that is unnecessary! (Yes! I agree with the lady mentioned above: Don't learn anything from SRCM or Chari! It is all MUD from the swamps and not the lofty spiritual knowledge of the MOUNTAINS) It was not derisive laughing at your education or your eminence. He said, "If that is all I have, you see, it is enough." And he laughed like a child which picks up some bone or piece and brings it to daddy with utter glee and says, "Daddy, look what I found."

(...)

I find unfortunately that most abhyasis are happy when their prejudices are fulfilled. (Just like their master... YOU! They are your "clones"! Don't you like them? They are also arrogant, un-forgiving, and lacking in LOVE! Are you Proud of your CREATION of MATERIAL without the SPIRITUALITY that you promised through BABUJI? ) You know, Babuji would stoop and pick up a piece of paper on the grass. "How wonderful Babuji is, you know! He keeps the garden clean." He ate half a chapatti, sometimes one. And he told us that when he went to Fatehgarh, in Lalaji's time, he said he had met him hardly ten times in his lifetime. ( That is the devotion that one should emulate: Babuji's towards his MASTER ... He did not join, become a member, or a preceptor of Lalaji's groups be they his (Lalaji's) family's Sufi lineage, or Dr Chatterbuhj's RamAshram. So what is this traveling to India for a (or many) "birthday bash" every year? THAT IS to feed CHARI's large EGO! ) Hardly ten times! And he said, "I used to eat only once a day, and that, half a chapatti. Because we should not strain the guru's resources." Our people nowadays, they eat six chapattis. "Arre, Guruji is giving us. It is all prasad." They are willing to eat two lunches, forgetting this principle that the guru's physical, material resources maybe very little, and in that he has to feed too many, and therefore we should eat the minimum that we need. Not look for taste, not look for satisfaction, but just to keep body and soul together - eat what is necessary. This was the first principle of etiquette, or shall I say, civilized behaviour, because this is true civilization, in knowing what to do, where to do and how to do it. Lost!

Even to Fatehgarh once he landed up rather late, nine o'clock at night, winter. He slept on the granite step outside Lalaji's home. He did not knock on the door and say, "Why don't you open the door sooner? I am freezing here." And when Lalaji opened the door at four-thirty or five in the morning, he found Babuji sleeping there - or lying there. And he said, "Ram Chandra, why did you not knock?" And Babuji kept quiet. He did not answer.

Don't strain your guru's resources - civilized behaviour. (Oh! Now the Guru does not want to give like Babuji allegedly did. The abhyasis should emulate the Guru and Chari does not want to emulate "Babuji". Double Standards? No! Chari does not want to be "bothered" by the many "fans" who want to "worship" HIM, their materialist IDOL. Careful what you wish! They are your "addicts" and you are their "IDOL"...You created the situation! ) Don't disturb him unless it is absolutely a matter of life and death - second principle. Third principle, of course, is even more civilized: don't ask questions about things about which you don't know what questions to ask. "Does the soul exist? Does God exist?" (Chari has "no answers" and does not like the role he created for himself, by himself.) Sometimes he would just laugh off some questions. He said, "If God did not exist, you would not be here to ask this question." But then the people who wanted to show off: "Yes, yes, but, Babuji, how do you mean that I would not exist? Am I not a product of the biological condition in human beings, that the union of the two produces the third?" et cetera, et cetera.

When we ask questions we exhibit two things. One is of course our ignorance, which he knows! He knows that we have no wisdom at all, except perhaps some vestige of wisdom from past lives which brought us to him, because it is a matter of good fortune. Good fortune, whatever it is, we say it is God's grace that brought me to the guru's door, or vice versa. More, it betrays our desires. "Babuji, do you allow smoking?" Nobody who does not smoke asks such a question. (Wrong! It was a legitimate question as "Babuji smoked" the Hookah)

You know, Babuji's eyes, I told you, they were like the deepest you can look into - no end. And when he looked at you, there was no curiosity in what he saw, what he looked for. It was just an unfocused look. And I think he was able to penetrate into you through your eyes. That was why most people turned away, even when asking questions. "Babuji, do you think we can meditate three times a day?" And Babuji says, "Haan, haan, if you have time, you may do it," and he [the abhyasi] is looking this side. "Babuji, is it all right to meditate five times a day, only ten minutes each time?" (silly, and made up stories)

In turning away from the Master's gaze, in our fear of looking or having him look into our eyes, we betray our animalism, animal instinct. No animal, be it a tiger or a lion, can look at you and bear your look. You look and, growl, it goes. (Chari shows his ignorance of animal behavior, and NATURE! Don't try that in Nature! It's just a "tall tale". The Master of the so-called NATURAL path, is not well-versed in NATURE!) You can see it in the circus. (Yes in the SRCM circus. Does Chari not know the difference between animal behavior in a "Prison", and animal behavior in NATURE?) Strangely, the gentler animals are able to do it. (WOW!! And he teaches that and some believe that. I guess if one is so dumb as to live according to that lack of Natural knowledge of roadside Gurus, then they should be food for the smarter (predators) animals in NATURE ... ) So all our fierceness, all our power, all our arrogance, and 'belief in myself', all that goes. People did not like Babuji looking into their eyes, (WRONG! Ask old abhyasis and trust them and believe them! ) even the highest evolved of those days, except a few. (not Chari) So we should have the courage, if not to look into his eyes, at least to let him look into ours. Because, it is like you go to a doctor, and he says, "Strip," and you can't say, "No, no, I am very shy." He doesn't want to see what you don't want to show. He wants to see for diagnostic purposes, and unless you permit him, he cannot do his diagnoses. It is as simple as that.

So Babuji's first look was enough. He knew everything about you: past, present, and of course, the future was always known to him, because the future for all of us is the same - evolution into the highest. (Chari is creating a myth that Babuji was "GOD" so his "fans" will transfer that "all knowledge" to Chari, as he thinks himself to be his "successor". All Religions do the same and we call them: the opiates of the Masses! We know that they lie and "make up stories". ) But whether we would do it or not, was always for him a big question mark. I was surprised that Babuji said, "You know, I have given to him but I don't know what will happen." I said, "But you must know." He said, "I know what should happen, but I do not know what will happen, what can happen. And of course I know what must not happen. You see? But how to protect?" He said, "We can protect animals. (wrong) We can tie them up. We can put them in enclosures. (That is "protection"? to be later slaughtered? WRONG!! That is like saying that "Ducks Unlimited" protects ducks!! ... for hunting and hunters!! ) But you cannot tie up a human being." "So, Babuji, what is the way?" He said, "This is where their destiny will come into play. If they use this opportunity without diversion, without deviation, I am telling you their goal is certain in this life. But I can only help, I can only guide, I can also pray for protection. But if their will power is stronger, the more stronger the will, the more damage they can do to themselves, if they are on the wrong path."

So you see, we have to not pre-judge the guru. In fact we are not to judge him at all. Like we should not judge food, or evaluate its taste. (As fools? Of course one should judge anyone who sells you a product, (specially food). And as well, question their product, be it "salvation", "liberation", or FOOD) "Not enough sugar, not enough salt." It is for sustenance, it is to help us to keep alive, and in that attitude of knowing, understanding, acceptance, if you eat, all food is good for us, even the simplest (wrong, and silly and meant for the obedient gullible and naive. It is the typical games of the capitalists and the salesmen of "PRODUCTS". "TRUST us and don't judge us or our products", they say!). Not to judge him as a human being, because our capacity to judge is only with measuring tapes and weighing machines and blood samples. It does not mean I do not respect the medical profession, but even the best doctor knows that one evening he can judge a patient to be in good health and one hour later, hear that he had a heart attack and died.

Life and death are beyond a doctor's purview, and if they are making efforts to understand, they should understand that body parameters do not have anything to do with life, because life is intangible, it cannot be known, it cannot be felt, it is eternal, (Is that right? NOT) but apparently it is short when in a human body. And so in that span of time (which Babuji said is like going to school), whatever be the length of your life, it is school, and we must learn the lessons of that school so that we evolve out of the school and either go on to higher institutions of knowledge (which there are infinite) in a disembodied soul's state, or unfortunately if you have to do it, return for a fresh year of education. (Chari's fate?)

The first thing is: the guru is the guru. Tradition says, the guru is higher than God because God cannot show Himself to you but the guru can show Him to you. (Believe that if you want to.) And as Babuji said, "Other than life and death, in between the guru can do anything. (Megalomania! Chari talks about himself to "frighten" and control his serfs) But always with the proviso that his guru must permit or Nature must permit." We see utter humility in the guru, and we see total lack of it in abhyasis. (vice versa) We see utter simplicity in the guru, lack of it in the abhyasis. (vice versa) Guru has no prejudice. (Wrong... Chari has prejudices! As the many disciples of Babuji!) Even when he knows what you are, there is no question of liking you or disliking you. But unless we train ourselves… Everybody says, you know, "Babuji I want to become like you." He says, "Haan, haan. It is good." Praising the idea or praising the intention, but waiting to praise the achievement.

So the first exposure to the guru was very important. It was the door opening to eternity which, if you had just stepped across, would have taken you away forever, lost. First bhandara, Basant Panchami - he has taught us so many things, but strangely, most of us forgot when we left. After the ashram was built, Babuji was always there till the crowds had gone on the final day. And then at about ten o'clock - because morning six-thirty was meditation, it was over by seven-thirty, breakfast over by eight, eight-thirty, nine; people leaving. Then he would leave for home (after the ashram was built). I have gone with him in the same rickshaw from the ashram to his house, passing hundreds of abhyasis on the street. Nobody even looked up or recognised him. Nobody! ( made up story... not a fact)

So what do we go there for? Are we serious about what we are looking for? Or are we just going to re-evaluate this phenomenon that we call the guru, judge the sitting, but by what? "It was cold and you know there was a kankad [stone] under my… we sat mostly on stones, and…", you know. And judging the physical environment: the lack of comfort, the simplicity of the food, people even criticising it. "Yeh kutta bhi nahi khaayega [Even a dog would not eat this]," I have heard people say.

So these two things we must always remember. What should be our attitude when we are with him, in his presence? (Chari is talking about himself! Ego!) If we don't imbibe or imbue ourselves with those very absolutely essential qualities of this feeling of awe, looking at him. (Awe is nothing but love and utter respect and worshipful attitude mixed together, it is not fear. Unfortunately from awe has come awful which has a totally different connotation.) And what we take out of that house when we come out, do we, in a sense, make it permanent within us? Does it show in our respect for everybody, in our love for everybody, in accordance with Babuji's teaching, "Love all whom He loves'? (Chari's invention) "Love Him who loves all',(quote from Babuji) in a sense, many people are able to do to some extent, maybe minimal. But He loves all. ("He" means the "male" Divine) Do we love all? He respects all. Do we respect all? He lives simply. Do we live simply? (Do you?) He speaks the truth very nicely, very lovingly. Do we do it? (do you?) He doesn't ask questions; "What are we doing?" I have never seen him asking, "What are you doing? How much money do you earn?" "You come." He did not know the names of most people, but he knew you. Today we know names of people but we don't know the person.

You see, invertendo is manifesting itself in every aspect of human existence and behaviour. He was knowledge-less, but all wisdom. He was emotionless, but all love. If you are serious about wanting to become like him, should there not be this emulation? (Tear down your Ashrams (Churches) , give the money to the poor, and live simply, not surrounded by marble, gold lions and manicured lawns adorned with statues and pictures of "YOURSELF") You may live like a king, you know. It is said of Raja Janak (Janaka the great, the father of Sita) that he was the simplest being even though he lived in a palace and was a chakravarthi [emperor], because here [the heart], there was no attachment to anything. (now we see the "rationalization" of wealth by the "capitalists" and the "elite". "If God (male) did not want me rich, I would have been born poor". One can still give all the WEALTH to the POOR, rather than sucking from the poor to build more "ASHRAMS".)

There is a well-known story of the young boy Shuka (who was a saint, who was the grandson of Vyasa), that he was sent to Janaka for education. So he came with his palm-leaf book tucked under his armpit, entered the palace and sat next to the king in his bedroom. The king was on a royal bed of gold, sat in silk cushions, and girls all around him fanning him, applying sandalwood paste to his body and all sorts of things. And in his mind came, "Where have I come and what for? Is this fellow going to teach me anything?" (The thing which I also experienced, I told you.) And at that moment one of the palace attendants came and said, "Majesty, there is fire in the city." The king did not respond. Ten minutes later another attendant of the palace came and said, "It is around the palace itself, Majesty." Then somebody came and said, "The palace itself is on fire." And suddenly the bedroom and its curtains were on fire and Shuka took up his bundle and was running away.

So Janaka said, "Come here. To where are you running?" He said, "Fire!" He waved his hand and the fire disappeared. So Shuka said, "What is this?" He said, "You were thinking I am a very ordinary human being, which of course I am, but you judged me from wrong parameters. You thought because I am in a palace and I am resting on satin and there are girls all around me, I could not be this and that and that. And you, who claim to be the wise grandson of Vyasa, et cetera, et cetera, with this bundle of palm leaves, you are running away!" And Shuka was brought to his senses, you see. So a wise youth like Shuka could not judge what he saw.(And Chari could not stop the Flood at the Ashram! Stories to fool the kids and the "gullible").

And then in the tradition, there is the story of Brahma and Vishnu trying to judge Divinity, and it is like a pillar of fire - one goes this way one goes that way, there is no end to it. So we cannot judge what cannot be judged even by the greatest. We cannot know what even the highest cannot know. We can only accept as an entity. We can only accept with love and gratitude the assistance that we get, and make that bond closer and closer until we fuse.

(Let us not mention the stress and even "suicide" and attempted murders, of those for whom Chari arranges "marriages", the "divisions" in the families of abhyasis and in his own society, the other alleged "mean-spirited" treatment of some members of SRCM (California-1997), as told in testimonials, and now on-line in blogs and on Youtube. Do your research and believe nothing that is said by this group. Check all the statements and keep a sharp eye and ear for "manipulation" by "businessmen" and salesmen who are "johnny-come-lately's" at spirituality and use Spirituality like RELIGION, to profiteer, much as they use their material "products", not wanting you to check them out or verify their promotional statements. THEY simply want you to "OBEY" and PAY! )

SRCM Celebrates the "Family"?

Taken and translated from Elodie's French Blog: Pour Que Vive le Sahaj Marg

Comment by 4d-don: One has to have a "double face" or be religiously hypocritical to destroy one's family and then celebrate the "family". Heads Up!

The family in SRCM is the MISSION, (lead by Chari and his "inner circle") and the fodder for "GROWING THE BUSINESS" is the families and friends of the preceptors and the abhyasis. SRCM targets "Women and Children" and tries to eliminate the males who do not "adhere" to the 3M's: Master, Mission, Method. That means "your family and your friends"! See "Restraining Order" template on this site.

Mission Celebrates the Family

The Shri Ram Chandra Mission is continuing its collaboration with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations. On 15 May, it will celebrate the International Day of the Family.

It is true that the families of abhyasis do not appreciate this more or less esoteric and sectarian organization (UN), but it is rare that they interrupt all relationship between the member's family. To the contrary, they seek to maintain contacts.

In contrast, abhyasis (disciples of Sahaj Marg) often destroy their family cell. Their main concern is to bring their whole family to the Mission. Recalcitrants are excluded, the spouses abandoned.

Where is intolerance the strongest? This does not stop SRCM from celebrating the family, it is not near a contradiction. The abhyasis should start by cleaning up their own back yard.

Believe me, I know of what I speak.

Elodie

Always about the UN and the SRCM ...

The actions of the SRCM concern "the promotion of tolerance, peace and universal brotherhood in prayer." In addition to the theme of the day of the family (SRCM theme: the universal family), it is expected this year to celebrate the day of youth (12 August), Day of Peace (September 21) and children's day (November 20).

Each abhyasi must inform at least 20 people in his entourage who are not yet abhyasis. The UNDPI must be informed in advance of SRCM events, which then receives a report with the list of participants ...

4d-Don Said:

And then, they all attack another "Ashram" and beat up another "family", the family of the FOUNDER of SRCM. (see testimonials by wife of President and by Sister Kasturi)

Publications: Great Clearance Sale on the one hand, and the Collectors on the other

€ 60 000 collected in "donations" as of late April for the 2nd volume of "Whispers" in french! How many times more for the English version?

If francophone abhyasis do not want to lose everything, they will still have to find more than 50 000 € before mid June, or 350 new donors in 45 days. Failing which the SRCM will be pocketing the donations without publishing any French version of "Whispers from the Brighter World) (the new Sahaj Marg Bible) ...

And that's not all! The coffers for the DVD "Hubble Bubble" and "July 2008" are also sold respectively at 85 and 40 € each, all made as donations to the SRCM India. More money that is not controlled by the association of SRCM France anymore, and will not be integrated into the national accounts. No one will be accountable to you for its use ...

And wouldn't you know it, Chari has now created a new organization, one more, responsible only for the publications of the SRCM. Thus the SMSF and the SRCM have stopped all publications as of April 1, 2009. It is now the SHPT (Spiritual Hierarchy Publication Trust, a funny name) which has taken over.
Will we soon see distributed, the accounts of all these structures? In any case, the separation of spiritual activities (SRCM), property (SMSF), school (LMOIS) and publications (SHPT) should easily allow it. But nothing is certain! And why such divisions, if it is not for "transparency"?

But what is the purpose of the "publications" sector of SRCM France, if all new publications require a donation to the SMSF or the "Swiss" SRCM India and now the SHPT? What is it then? Apparently to play the street peddler and/or the barker!

At the moment, for the purchase of two books, "The Autobiography of Ram Chandra and "Universal Message", the book "Religion and Spirituality" will be given free by the SRCM France. The first book costs 10 €, the second, but if you take both, you shall have them both for 10 €, and they added a third as a gift! It's the Great Clearance Sale ...

Conclusion: on the one hand, the collectors who enrich themselves, you will never see the accounting, and on the other hand, the Great Clearance Sale, of which you have meagre details, but that does nothing.

It's always the same! You never see the accounts of any activities that deals with a lot of money, and who the recipients are! ...

SRCM, Astrology and Therapies of all Kinds!

An Article by Alexis. Alexis has a blog: Le Projet Sahaj Marg and one called: SRCM=Danger

Astrology and the Therapies

A symposium on the relationship between astrology and the therapies was held from 3 to 5 October 2008 in Puidoux (Canton of Vaud in Switzerland), on the premises of the private foundation Crêt Bérard, linked to the Evangelical Reformed Church. (Attended by 80 participants at approximately $ 250.00 USD)

Why mention this? Because the organizing committee of the symposium consists of 8 persons, of which 5 at least are (or were?) members of the historical Sahaj Marg ( a registered trade mark of Shri Ram Chandra Mission-SRCM-California-1997), including one personality from the field of psychiatry.

Born in 1942, the Swiss psychiatrist discovered Sahaj Marg at 40 years old, and fast became a preceptor and a member of the Sahaj Marg Research Institute (SMRI... now called SMRTI and registered in Autin, Texas in 1997) and then created the Swiss foundation, Sahaj Marg Spirituality Foundation. Meanwhile, he has practiced for 35 years as a therapist and as a teacher at the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and the Center for the Study of the Family in Lausanne, Switzerland. Co-founder of the current International Association of Spiritual Psychiatry (IASP), in the 1990's, he theorizes the notions of invertendo and the central region, so dear to Sahaj Marg, in the psychiatric field, adding to the psychological stages of development of the individual, a final state said to be transpersonal or spiritual.

Retired and quiet for the past few years, it now seems that he is resuming his service. First with a website (www.psychologie-therapies-spiritualite.ch) (notice that last line on that site promoting an "astrologer") where he sells his seminars more or less spiritualized, 2 to 8 days for 380 to 800 CHF (Swiss Francs or 240 to 500 Euros ... or 335 to 705 USD). Then he came out with a symposium, of which he hosted the plenary sessions, while other members of the SRCM (California-1997) hosted workshops entitled "Path of Life - Path of Evolution", "Astrodrama" and "Psychological and Astrological Correspondences."

Answering a questionnaire was a pre-requisite to attending this workshop. Of the 17 questions he had, there is a jumble of one's self-image, one's relationships with others (including spouses), the nature of one's links with groups and friends through the trials of life including those of one's ancestors. In short, all the ingredients for someone to be destabilized in a group.

Besides that he strongly advised the participants to attend a consultation prior to the symposium, psycho or astro, by personal choice.

After mixing psychiatry and spirituality, they now add astrology and therapies of all kinds. Clearly, meditation heals everything! It's odd that so many abhyasis are so furiously depressed.

Is ISRC Claiming The Hermetic KYBALION?

DID Babuji write the Kybalion?

Is the Institute of Sri Ramchandra Consciousness (ISRC) now claiming the KYBALION through Babuji, without giving proper credit? Do they claim that Ram Chandra wrote these "sections" which were (also?) allegedly written by the "three initiates", and published in the "Kybalion" in 1912? The Kybalion was apparently written by "the Three Initiates", and published by the Yogi Publication Society of the Masonic Temple of Chicago, Illinois, USA. As Babuji was born in 1899, could he have been one of the "Three Initiates" at the age of 11 (or less, as the Kybalion was written prior to publication)?

Credit should be given to the "Three Initiates", the Yogi Publication Society, and the Masons of Chicago, Illinois, who in the period prior to WWl, in 1912 published a great book of philosophy, theology and physical principles, called the Kybalion, which are attributed to "Hermes Trismegestus" (thrice majectic), an alleged contemporary of Abraham, the "scribe of the gods", and who according to some legends, was originally from "Atlantis", and was the historic Thoth, the Egyptian of Pyramid era. Thoth,
the patron of knowledge, secrets, writing, and scribes, is portrayed as a man with the head of an ibis holding a scribe's palette and a stylus. He was also shown as a full ibis, or sometimes as baboon.

From: IMPERIENCE from the Institute of Sri Ramchandra Consciousness (ISRC)

(Site of K.C. Narayana, son of Dr Varadachari, founder of the Sahaj Marg Research Institute (SMRI... now SMRTI) and Babuji's apparent choice for "Master and President of the SRCM". Unfortunately he passed away, and the confusion with the succession of SRCM started, culminating with the schisms of Babuji's Family, K.C. Narayana, Sister Kasturi, and other senior preceptors in India, Europe, and the USA)

http://www.imperience.org/Celebrations/2006BasanthPrinciplesRevSriKCN.htm

This article, is at the site above which is a 'break-away" group from Chari's Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM). Chari has now re-registered the SRCM in California-1997, and he patented "SAHAJ MARG" as a "trade mark" in the USA,. The article seems to borrow heavily from The Kybalion, without giving the proper "references". If that is not an oversight or is an error, and that the claim that it is from the writings of Ram Chandra, the Founder of SRCM, registered in India under the "societies act", are correct, then it seems to be a case of "plagiarism" on the part of Babuji, as the date of Publishing of the Kybalion is 1912.

I have shown the article's "list of Principles" (nine (9)), and underneath, the "Principles" (seven (7), from the sections in the Kybalion so as to show the exact wording of each original "principle". All important claims are in "hypertext" for referencing.

The Principle No.1- The Principle of Mentalism has been changed, to The Principle of Consciousness, and the two Principles, No. 4- The Principle of Invertendo, and No. 5- The Principle of Parallelism, are additions by the ISRC author. (K.C. Narayana?) making a list of "nine" as opposed to the mystical "seven" or the spiralling octave (8). (Seven colors of the rainbow (light), seven notes to the western music scale (sound), etc... etc... Raja Yoga, the "eightfold" path, 24 notes (3 x 8) Indian music scale). Why NINE?

NOW the ARTICLE from IMPERIENCE

(...and the PRINCIPLES and the Philosophy of the Natural Path):

Philosophy of the Natural Path

(...)

Master has clearly stated certain fundamental principles and in this article I state them with the anticipation that the readers will read the original works of the Master Sri Ramchandraji Maharaj of Shahjahanpur, India.

1. The Principle of Consciousness.

“THE ALL” IS Consciousness. The Universe is of the nature of Consciousness. This principle refers to the Natural understanding that everything in the universe, matter and energy, is a form of consciousness. Rocks, trees, people, planets and constellations are all Consciousness at different levels of density. This suggests the unity of all things, as well as the latent power of the human mind.

From the Kybalion

I. THE PRINCIPLE OF MENTALISM

"THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental." -- The Kybalion. This Principle embodies the truth that "All is Mind."

2. The Principle of Correspondence

“As above, so below, as below, so above.” In one sense, this law states that the “whole” of a body is reflected in one “part.” This has been referred to in physics as the holographic nature of the Universe. This law describes many natural relationships, such as a cell of an organism containing the entire genetic information of the whole body. In spiritual life we understand as in the microcosm so in the macrocosm.

From the Kybalion

II. THE PRINCIPLE OF CORRESPONDENCE

"As above, so below; as below, so above." -- The Kybalion.

3. The Principle of Vibration

“Nothing is in a state of rest; everything moves; everything vibrates.” Everything vibrates, and its vibratory rate determines its quality and place in the world. A person, for example, can have a high vibration (peace, happiness, confidence, esteem) or a low vibration (depression, hate, greed, jealousy, fear, etc). Through methods of the Natural Path, one can change a low vibration to a high vibration, and move steadily in spiritual life.

From the Kybalion

III. THE PRINCIPLE OF VIBRATION

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates." -- The Kybalion.

4. The Principle of Invertendo

The flow of consciousness through vibrations inverts itself as it moves from the higher levels to lower levels and vice-versa. This inversion is the basis for formation of knots and consequent concentration of power within the knots.

5. The Principle of Parallelism.

The Divinity is the base of everything. It is self contained and is in a state of dynamic balance. It is found in everything as an active principle. Divinity when it manifested created an outward expression of itself which reached its Zenith in the human beings. Master calls the former ie. The presence of Divinity in everything is a function of the Line of Divinity. The manifestation of the Divinity is called by him as the Line of humanity. Since they are from the same source and of the nature of consciousness they are parallel. But nature of the Line of humanity is towards manifestation and activity while that of the Line of divinity is self contentedness and balance. Therefore though they are parallel the Line of humanity runs apparently in the opposite direction. All sadhana has to be to reduce the activity of the Line of humanity and bring it in consonance with the nature of divinity or balance

6. The Principle of Polarity

“Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.” The law of polarity teaches us to see things as localized on a continuum between two opposite “poles”, or extremes. Good and Evil are two poles within which we place every form of conduct or nature and are essentially relative. Among other things, this law aids us to see a grander, more unified view of all that exists.

From the Kybalion

IV. THE PRINCIPLE OF POLARITY

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled." -- The Kybalion.

7. The Principle of Rhythm

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.” The law of rhythm helps us to see the patterns that are an inextricable part of life as it relates to time. Days, nights, breaths, sleep, and wake cycles, the birth and death of nations, people, and solar systems all follow the law of rhythm. By being aware of these rhythms, we are able to make decisions, form and break habits, and see the possible outcomes of actions, and understand the world in which we live.

From the Kybalion

V. THE PRINCIPLE OF RHYTHM

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." -- The Kybalion

8. The Principle of Cause and Effect

“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.” We learn through this that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. There are no phenomena which do not have a cause or which is not the effect of something else. By carefully studying life with this law in mind, we come to be more aware of our actions and ourselves.

From the Kybalion

VI. THE PRINCIPLE OF CAUSE AND EFFECT

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law." -- The Kybalion

9. The Principle of Gender

”Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes.” The law of gender states that in the creation of anything, two forces are necessary: an active (masculine) force, and a passive (feminine) force. It is to be noted that this law is not limited to biological events.

From the Kybalion

VII The Principle of Gender

"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes." -- The Kybalion

These Principles describe the laws of nature as expressed in the Philosophy of Natural Path. Their breadth is wide enough to illustrate phenomena as diverse as electricity, emotions, cosmology, ecology, etc. Understanding these laws allows one to use them to act in a manner harmonious with Nature and life. Though simply stated, the principles are extraordinarily profound in meaning, and one’s comprehension of these laws increases as one attains higher levels of awareness.

From the Kybalion

The Seven Hermetic Principles, upon which the entire Hermetic Philosophy is based, are as follows:

THE PRINCIPLE OF MENTALISM.
THE PRINCIPLE OF CORRESPONDENCE.
THE PRINCIPLE OF VIBRATION.
THE PRINCIPLE OF POLARITY.
THE PRINCIPLE OF RHYTHM.
THE PRINCIPLE OF CAUSE AND EFFECT.
THE PRINCIPLE OF GENDER.

These Seven Principles will be discussed and explained as we proceed with these lessons. A short explanation of each, however, may as well be given at this point.

THE ESSENTIAL KYBALION

Excerpts from THE KYBALLION

- by The Three Initiates

"The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of Understanding"

"Where fall the footsteps of the Master, the ears of those ready for his Teaching open wide."

"When the ears of the student are ready to hear, then cometh the lips to fill them with Wisdom."

"The Principles of Truth are Seven; he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open".

"THE ALL IS MIND; The Universe is Mental."

"As above, so below; as below, so above."

"Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates."

"Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled."

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates."

"Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law."

"Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes."

"Mind (as well as metals and elements) may be transmuted, from state to state; degree to degree; condition to condition; pole to pole; vibration to vibration. True Hermetic Transmutation is a Mental Art."

"Under, and back of, the Universe of Time, Space and Change, is ever to be found The Substantial Reality - the Fundamental Truth."

"THAT which is the Fundamental Truth-the Substantial Reality--is beyond true naming, but the Wise Men call it THE ALL."

"In its Essence, THE ALL is UNKNOWABLE."

"But, the report of Reason must be hospitably received, and treated with respect."

"The Universe is Mental--held in the Mind of THE ALL."

"THE ALL creates in its Infinite Mind countless Universes, which exist for aeons of Time--and yet, to THE ALL, the creation, development, decline and death of a million Universes is as the time of the twinkling of an eye."

"The Infinite Mind of THE ALL is the womb of Universes."

"Within the Father-Mother Mind, mortal children are at home."

"There is not one who is Fatherless, nor Motherless in the Universe."

"The half-wise, recognizing the comparative unreality of the Universe, imagine that they may defy its Laws--such are vain and presumptuous fools, and they are broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements by reason of their folly. The truly wise, knowing the nature of the Universe, use Law against laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph. Mastery consists not in abnormal dreams, visions and fantastic imaginings or living, but in using the higher forces against the lower--escaping the pains of the lower planes by vibrating on the higher. Transmutation, not presumptuous denial, is the weapon of the Master."

"While All is in THE ALL, it is equally true that THE ALL is in ALL. To him who truly understands this truth hath come great knowledge."

"The possession of Knowledge, unless accompanied by a manifestation and expression in Action, is like the hoarding of precious metals-a vain and foolish thing. Knowledge, like wealth, is intended for Use. The Law of Use is Universal, and he who violates it suffers by reason of his conflict with natural forces."

"To change your mood or mental state-change your vibration."

"To destroy an undesirable rate of mental vibration, put into operation the principle of Polarity and concentrate upon the opposite pole to that which you desire to suppress. Kill out the undesirable by changing its polarity."

"Mind (as well as metals and elements) may be transmuted from state to state degree to degree. condition to condition pole to pole; vibration to vibration."

"Rhythm may be neutralized by an application of the Art of Polarization."

"Nothing escapes the Principle of Cause and Effect, but there are many Planes of Causation, and one may use the laws of the higher to overcome the laws of the lower."

"The wise ones serve on the higher, but rule on the lower. They obey the laws coming from above them, But on their own plane, and those below them they rule and give orders. And, yet, in so doing, they form a part of the Principle, instead of opposing it. The wise man falls in with the Law, and by understanding its movements he operates it instead of being its blind slave. Just as does the skilled swimmer turn this way and that way, going and coming as he will, instead of being as the log which is carried here and there-so is the wise man as compared to the ordinary man-and yet both swimmer and log; wise man and fool, are subject to Law. He who understands this is well on the road to Mastery"

"True Hermetic Transmutation is a Mental Art."
