The 2008 accounts of the SRCM Canada are finally available.

The assets of the association are over $175 000 USD (110, 000 €) for some 450 followers, nearly € 250 per person. It has doubled in nine years, and is partly (80%) made up by investments that bring 1.6%.

The income of the association has also doubled in nine years. It amounts to more than $70, 000 USD (more than € 40 000), or 100 € per person, 80% of which is donations (and probably fees). 15% from sales of publications of the Mission for a inventory estimated at nearly € 20, 000, representing a return on capital inventory of more than 56%.

Expenditure amounted to almost $65, 000 USD (€ 40, 000), 80% of which is occupancy costs (rent?). The profit for the year is nearly $7, 000 USD (more than 4, 000 €), or less than ten (10) euros per person.

How, under the current economic circumstances, have the assets of the SRCM Canada doubled in nine years?

4d-don's comments: The SRCM Canada site lists 17 Communities in Canada (some are suburbs of major cities, some are small villages) where SRCM has a small presence. The Vancouver center has 60 followers.

The $70,000 in Revenues of the SRCM (Canada), of which 80% is shown as "donations" can be easily explained when one realizes that some of the "proselytizing material" is allegedly given "free of charge", in exchange for a "donation" of the "asking price" (for Whispers From the Brighter World - Volume 1, the requested donation was $250.00 USD, for Volume 2, it was $150.00 USD), thus avoiding the sales tax in the country of sale. At SRCM (California-1997) seminars, the food concessions receipts allegedly have "donation" stamped on the tab. It seems that even the sale of food to well-to-do spiritualist "globe trotters" is "tax-exempt" under the SRCM (California-1997) interpretation of "charity".

It seems that Spiritualism or Spiritism is not synonymous with ethics or morality.

Is Sahaj Marg and SRCM (California-1997) A Charismatic Group?

Charismatic groups (intermezzo)

Once one starts looking for information and studies regarding spiritual movements, there seems to be a vast amount of research and descriptions of experiences. So much so, that I wonder once again if this blog has anything substantial to add.

But then again, it won't hurt either to look at these things from a personal perspective of a former follower of a `charismatic group'. Marc Galanter starts out his book with a description and very short definition of this term:

A charismatic group is characterized by the following:

1) Members have a shared belief system
2) Members sustain a high level of social cohesion
3) Members are strongly influenced by the group's behavioural norms
4) Members ascribe charismatic (or sometimes divine) power to the group or its leadership

Notice that these traits can hold also for non-spiritually-oriented groups. Also notice that for the large religions, most of these traits are watered down due to the large numbers and the diversity of the followers. Which is why the large religions are usually not considered charismatic groups, although they all count various much smaller submovements/subgroups which can be very charismatic.

For the purpose of this blog, it might once again be helpful to list some characteristics of charismatic spiritual groups that I have seen in many descriptions:

a) Gradual introduction/conversion of new members, usually through personal contact, in a family-like setting. Repeated enhancement of the `family' feeling through spiritual gatherings and other activities, often involving an ashram or other facility where communal living is the norm.

b) One's own physical/spiritual well-being is linked to a higher noble spiritual Goal (`Meditate, and you will feel better. But also you will help uniting Humanity, and bring about a world where love is the predominant guiding principle.')

c) Some special practice, usually involving some state of altered consciousness. Very frequently this includes some form of meditation. The experiences with and results of this `special' practice are discussed among members, and good things are associated with it. The specialty is stressed from time to time: `other movements do not have this Method' (exclusiveness).

d) A Special Leader, who has a direct Divine connection. His Guidance and Helping Hand are mystic and beyond rational understanding. `Surrender' is the way for a follower to achieve spiritual progress.

e) A strong behavioural code, together with a lot of `positive' groupthink. Occasional criticism might be possible, but is made relatively light of. Fundamental criticism of the Leader or the Movement is frowned upon. Positive `witnessing' is encouraged and rewarded [witnessing: relating one's experiences with the Method/Leader and one's resulting insights; `So when I was having a real difficult time in my life, the image of the Leader appeared when I was doing my Morning Prayer. He spoke to me and said: `Be strong, and do not listen to your Ego. Let God do His work on you, do your Practice and have Faith'. So I decided to go to satsangh regularly, and my other problems became lighter!'].

f) An Inner Circle of long-practicing members, who are close to the Leader. Positions in this Inner Circle are coveted, as a sure sign of spiritual progress and the elevated opportunity for direct Guidance from the Leader. Management of the Movement's Organization is organized hierarchically, with the Inner Circle at the top of the Pyramid.

Background Note: Babuji passed away in 1983. After years of court disputes with Babuji's Family for control of SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945), the SRCM (California-1997) was registered by Chari in San Luis Obispo, California, USA, in 1997. SMRI, the research organization of the SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945), founded by Dr. Prof. K.C. Varadachari, was re-registered as SMRTI (adding "T" for Training) in 1997, in Austin Texas, home of developer and businessman, and member of Chari's inner circle, Santosh Khanjee. Sahaj Marg Spirituality Foundation (SMSF), the new funding body of the SRCM (California-1997) was registered to a group from Chari's inner circle.

This article is about the NEW Bible of the SRCM (California-1997), which is a series of "whispers" channeled by an anonymous French Lady Medium from "beyond the grave". The messages allegedly come from Lalaji, Babuji, Chari's wife and Chari's mother and other elevated souls. (see here) . (No virgin birth yet !! ;-))

By giving credence to the spiritualist channeled messages, the Medium and Chari have inadvertently claimed that Babuji and Lalaji have not "merged into the ocean of the Ultimate, or the Central Region" but are still "ghosts", "spirits" with an identity, a personality and who are still involved with the politics and the silly games of this plane of existence. In other words, Chari and the Medium inadvertently claim that Babuji and Lalaji are no more elevated than Chari's mother and/or his wife, and other channeled entities from the lower realms.

I think the Medium and Chari make it all up ... The "whispers" are not from Lalaji or Babuji at all, but they are from the mind of the MEDIUM. Spiritualism is not what Lalaji or Babuji taught as their method of reaching the ULTIMATE. Spiritualism is not SPIRITUALITY! If Lalaji and Babuji still communicate, as the Medium and Chari claim, then they are not "merged into the ULTIMATE" as they were trying to do, and their path leads to SPIRITUALISM, Ghosts, Spirits, and channeled messages by an anonymous French lady Medium.

Call Harry Houdini (1874-1926), the escapologist and Spiritualist debunker, or the "GHOST BUSTERS"!!

April 30, 2005 ...

On the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the Mission, and the 106th anniversary of Babuji's birth, while Chari was soon to be 78 years old (when he still was counting on the West), the latter delivered this speech "Securing the Future of the Mission " on April 30, 2005 at Tiruppur to announce the name of his successor and to launch the book Whispers From The Brighter World.

Here is a short paraphrased excerpt of this speech:

In 1974, the Vivekananda Hospital, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh, India) where he was hospitalized, Babuji told apparently Chari that he had decided that he (Chari) would succeed him when he left this earthly life, adding the next day, that he would live to 106 (years old). That is to say, at least until the date of April 30, 2005 when Chari is now giving his speech, so much for the predictions of Babuji ...

Chari continues by saying that the SRCM is present in approximately 80 countries where it is spreading the message of Babuji, thanks to his preceptors who must always do more to develop it (the Mission).

While the organization is required to manage all this little world, the danger is also great to focus too much on the organization. Therefore, the Mission is guided in its work by a single person, being both spiritual representative and President of the Grand Master, Babuji. This person must be chosen carefully to address both the physical work and the spiritual work, as well as his own spiritual growth.

At the SRCM, there are no distinctions, the abhyasis form a family and are all children of the Master, and one of them was chosen by Babuji and confirmed by the hierarchy of Sahaj Marg (signed by sixteen other personalities, an official nomination letter written by Chari the day before, 29/04/2005). Chari just announced it so that the abhyasis should feel reassured and feel secure about their future.

Ajay Kumar Bhatt has been chosen by Babuji, he has been trained for it for some years and will continue to be, throughout Chari's life. This disciple of Chari, a young businessman from West Bengal and Member of Executive Committee and Chairman since 2003, is then to succeed him (Chari) as Babuji's spiritual representative and President of the Mission throughout the world. And Chari prays that Chari AK Bhatter will still be there to celebrate the centenary of the SRCM (California-1997) in 2045. (This (2045) will be the centenary of the SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945) founded by Babuji, and now chaired by his grandson, Navneet Kumar Saxena. They sure are "stubborn" or "dense". Maybe their new "channeled BIBLE" (Whispers from the Brighter World) will enlighten them as Babuji's books did not.)

In the midst of this appointment speech, and well before he had designated his successor, Chari said that he had just received the biggest gift that was ever made to him, namely of $1, 106,000 USD. Why say that at this moment? This arrives as the hair in the soup ...

No, no! Everything is well thought out and calibrated when Chari expresses himself.

After designating AK Bhatter, Chari says that a great work was underway. It is a book, no secret, but so "sacred" that we could not yet see it. It will be the future Bible of the Mission. We now know that it was "Whispers from the Brighter World".

Only, now there are only 5,000 copies, so they will be distributed free of charge to donors. And of course, he does not specify how. Who will be served first, the biggest donors? This time, no doubt, everyone makes the connection with the announcement of the donation of one million dollars.

And he starts to dip into his stockpile so as to distribute 8 copies of the free of charge book. Donors of all countries, please hurry if you want to get one, soon there will be none.

The first three copies are for politicians, two members of the Indian Parliament (an abhyasis and a Bengali from Calcutta) and a former minister in the BJP government of Uttar Pradesh (and preceptor of Sahaj Marg). The fourth is for one of his earliest disciples, who became an abhyasis in 1966. The fifth is for the son of Babuji, Sarvesh, the traitor to his family who joined Chari against all the others. The sixth and seventh are for his favorite henchmen, U.S. Bajpai, Secretary, and AP Durai Assistant Secretary of the Mission. The eighth and final rewards is for the abhyasis (the anonymous French lady Medium) who produced this famous book, "a new Bible to replace the old" ...

I presume that Chari means "use your head" not your "heart", as the heart can't "THINK" but simply "PUMPS"! The "nerve center" is in the BRAIN with its neuronal network (of nerves) that allows pyramidal or hierarchical thinking and also allows tangential thinking. For Spirituality, one wants to include the tangential properties of the neuronal network, so as to begin to discuss, explain and understand the synergetic experience of the super-luminal and the non-local aspects of revelation, illumination, inspiration or intuition. For that, we need to use the thinking BRAIN and its multi-dimensional capabilities, and not the "heart" with it's "thump, thump thump" and it's hierachical or linear communication system with feed-back loops. One will not get a new idea from the heart. The heart will simply continue what it did yesterday, until either natural death from age, or from the un-natural death of accidents or wrong thinking.

One wants to "Dare to THINK", not simply REPEAT or have BLIND FAITH, RIGHT?? One sign of an intelligent debate is the acceptance of the interruption!! In a free society, ALL want the freedom, the right and the ability to dis-agree and/or to interrupt and present a better idea.

Blind obedience to the Master and "thinking" are not compatible. One has to go... No MORE MASTERS!! No more TEACHERS (gurus), who think that their function is to impart their interpretation of the available "in-formation" as fact and/or dogma, but from now on, for the sake of our ONE-ness (our Spirit-uality), we simply "need" INFORMATION-ists or "infonauts" and/or POINTERS who direct the current of seekers to the "in-formation". The Seekers can decide for themselves what they chose to believe as TRUTH or Fact. We, the seekers after TRUTH, just need friends and fellow seekers or fellow pilgrims!!

WE WILL BE ONE... (No!)... WE ARE ONE in an arc and a spiral organizational structure!!! Not divided in a corruptible angle and/or a Pyramidal (Religious, military, business, etc...) structure.

That is the broad outline for CREST, Bangalore. Here the intention is to do all that at a less… shall we say, more subdued level; not giving so much importance to the scholastic or the cultural aspect of religion and the Vedas and all this sort of thing, but more emphasis on the need for ethics, morality, balance between the inner and the outer selves of a human being, until there is only one self. Will it be ever possible to say there is only one self in a human being, or are we to deal again and again with the old Greek mythology (you call the "persona" a "mythology" and then you discuss it as if it was a REALITY!) of the persona, which we all wear at different occasions as it suits the need of the hour, or the need of our fears to protect ourselves? — because a persona is essentially a mask. (essentially means "in essence", so in essence, the persona is not an "efficacious" or a "good mask", as many can see through it by using the new (neuronal, or tangential) organizational structure demanded by true SPIRITUALITY!! (not the pyramid of Dogmatism and Religion) Are we covering ourselves all the time with different personae: a father with his son, a husband with his wife, a student with his teacher, and so on and so forth, soldier with his commanders? Are we fooling ourselves? — (No, Not some of us. That is the "God-created" nature of our "multi-dimensional" REALITY or our "duality". (in "your" ancient terms) because once we adopt so many personalities, are we not confusing ourselves into thinking whatever we may think: I am this or I am this or I am this? (Chari is a boy (male) who is also a businessman, a father, a husband, a friend, a boss, a spirit, a mind, a soul, and more... No confusion there for those who can "think and chew gum" at the same time. That is the nature of Chari's multi-dimensional or "DUAL" REALITY.

But then Chari seems to thinks and act as if he was the Master of a "cult of his person", who "needs" to evangelize and convert the WORLD to his "new Religion" as if he was appointed by a "divine ???" in either a "dream" or a "message (whisper) from an anonymous French Lady "MEDIUM", and then he instructs his adherents in the use of an "autonomous psychic entity" called an "egregore". Then, he may be living in an illusion and need professional help, and maybe to be "hospitalized".

We, the simple people were living in ONE-ness, and Chari and his form of Sahaj Marg, came along and divided our families and our society with "ONE MORE corrupt RELIGION" (as Chari calls "all religions" at his Omega school )... That is not a GIFT from a so-called FRIEND or from the ONE DIVINE. If Chari wants to commune with ONE, then he can GO HOME (or in his own Ashram) and please do so. One does not steal the Ashrams, or divide the societies of others in the name of ONE or One-ness! (what Chari calls by the divisive Gothic (Germanic) word GOD and/or "HIM"!!)

You know there are people who have been used to commanding, and you hear frequently their wives saying, “He is a commander on the field and he is also a commander at home. He barks his orders.” “Bring on the soup!” to his wife; things like that, you see. So do we develop one supervening personality, or do we suffer from a multiplicity of personalities and have to be hospitalized? (To us on the outside, that is the way we see Chari, one who does not know very much about theology (the study of the "DIVINE" or ONE), which Chari calls a "male" and by the "Gothic" (German) word "G-O-D"), or about philosophy, but who wants to teach his concepts (ideas) to the World as if he had received his illusion of knowledge as "REVELATION" or in "WHISPERS"! That is a common delusion among the RELIGIOUS fanatics (and seems prevalent in Sahaj Marg) who quickly become megalomaniacal, thinking that the DIVINE has "chosen" them above all others, for a "Divine PURPOSE!!)

So will we ever achieve this goal of saying, “I am one person”? — meaning this person is everything that he is to everybody that he sees, from man to plant to animals to God. Why should we be different when behaving or interacting with human beings, grovelling before some, going on our knees before some, booting others? (When we became (evolved?) mostly "carbon cellular entities", what was our "cellular make-up" became our human Nature, and that was what we defended. Everything else that was not "our cells" but was "carbon" or "elemental", (stored star energy) could be our "FOOD", or what we consumed and/or used to survive. That included other "carbon forms" (humans, animals, plants), and the "elements" or crystals (minerals), liquids, gas, and even plasma, the energies, etc ... Hence we developed a multi-dimensional approach to acquiring, protecting, storing, our "food", our survival, depending on how "hungry" or how "needy" we were. Hunger, we called then, and still call today, as our natural needs.

Need-iness (which is really not our "needs" at all, but is really our "wants"), some now call "GREED". So now, some see all humans and human society as motivated by GREED only. That is also an "illusion". Some (few) are not GREEDY but live according to their true Natural minimal "NEEDS". These, some call Saints, ascetics, "good and simple people, etc... but they are really just the simple people. They are not certainly not developers, evangelizing to the "donors" about the "simple life" while building their "wanted" cottages in every town with Chari-ty dollars, while some other "PEOPLE" are dying of hunger (natural or "basic needs")? Where are the "ethics and the "morality" in the neo-Religion? Where are they in Sahaj Marg and the SRCM (California-1997)?

That is the nature of the Natural World, we all eat what we are not. Hence the need, through ethical and moral thinking (comtemplation), for a societal "ONE-ness" of intellect and even (spirally organized) Spirituality (not pyramidal-ly organized religion or Cults of Personalities), so we may see ourselves as "ONE people" so we can stop preaching at one another, eating one another, killing one another, using and manipulating one another, Dividing one another into camps or "sects" of "them/us", etc...) And, of course, before God we are all grovellers, beggars. (Some of "YOU" are. NOT US!! Some of us simply "commune with ONE as with a FRIEND!) As Babuji said, prayer is begging. That can be achieved only by delving rather deep into the subject of what makes us adopt, perhaps naturally, perhaps by education, by society, by choice, the various personalities that we manifest in our day-to-day existence. Is it fear? I suspect it is largely fear. Because even the idea to appear as something which you are not, comes out of the fear that you may reveal yourself to be what you are. (I suspect that it is deeper than the FEAR of other "humans". It is EGO that allows one to think that they are the "CHOSEN" of the ONE and who think that they have a divine duty and Mission, to go around the WORLD preaching at, and using and manipulating OTHERS (their families and friends) with tactics of FEAR AND TEMPTATION, for the sake of "LIBERATION", Salvation, Heaven, Brighter World, etc... If it is a "fear", it may be the fear of DYING and not having cared about the POOR, the truly NEEDY, the SICK, the dis-empowered, etc... and having to be re-born as "one of THOSE"...

Give up one of your incompatible frames of thought, your obsession with MATERIAL comforts (cottages??, extra houses, hotels, restaurants, luxuries, etc...) now, for the sake of the NEEDY so you may not overlay your concept of the MATERIAL as a LIGHT (in your heart) upon your concept of the ONE, and then WORSHIP or meditate upon the ONE as if IT was a "LIGHT" (which is also matter) rather than a SPIRIT or ONE-ness ... (not Matter, not energy.... Remember Einstein's E=mc2).... Matter and Energy (Light), are the same.

In the case of Sahaj Marg meditation, it is an "imaginary" light that the abhyasis place in their heart. "The Monster is of the ID", (Freud). If the "inner circle" of SRCM is an example of the "holiness" of their METHOD, then Sahajs Marg does not seem to make the "adherents" more moral, ethical, generous, loving, kind, compassionate, caring, etc... as communing with the ONE should. Or What is Religion for? The old and the new religions seem to be alike in that respect.

Sahaj Marg on LIFE SUPPORT? Needs a BLOOD TRANSFUSION

"Like, you know, a sick man requires blood transfusion, the Mission requires abhyasi transfusion, more and more, better and better. Not as Babuji said, less and less of more and more, or more and more of less and less, but we do want more and more to come in, more and more to be blessed by him, and more and more to benefit by our spiritual practice, which is so universal and so simple that its simplicity is mistaken for ineffectiveness. People say, “How can this work?” We should prevail on them to try it, without bias of caste, colour, creed, race, religion, all these things. Give it an honest trial and see after three months."

Numbers, numbers, numbers, more, more, more, business, develop, business develop, numbers,

"Give candy a try. You'll like it!" "Give sex a try. You'll like it!" "Give sensations a try. You'll like it!"

Does it not sound like the rationale of the Hollywood version of the "snake oil salesman"? "Try it, you'll like it".

Give Christianity a try! Give Islam a try, etc... Many in the past have tried RELIGION, and their children have remained "RELIGIOUS" for generations. Their children were then, and are still now being indoctrinated with manufactured and made-up religious myths, fantasies, and fairy tales, well before the age of reason. And even through the horrors of abuse, wars, crusades, terrorism, etc., many remain faithful to their "family religion". That does not mean that belonging to an established religion such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, etc... also means that one is now more saintly, holy, moral or ethical or self-realized.

"Trying" something as a RELIGION or a spiritual path to "ONE-ness", for three months as a test of its "effectiveness" is a little naive and really meant for the really "GULLIBLE" or the morally bankrupt, and/or the spiritually desperate. Something as important as a LIFE Path, should be tested "all the time", specially before trying it. And if the path, its literature, or it's leadership proves at any time to be "un-holy" nonsensical, un-ethical, immoral, or corrupt, then one should change path immediately, not decades later. Intellect is also a "God-given" tool to use, and is one way of TRYING it!! If it does not make sense, or sounds suspicious or too good to be true, then don't try it. If a bottle says poison, and has a "skull and crossbones" on it, don't drink the contents thinking that your "God" will save you because you are now in the "one and only" religion of GOD. The ONE (what some call by the Gothic (Germanic) word, "God", also gave us a BRAIN!!

But belonging to a group for three months will set up a pattern, a habit, a dependency, that then will have to be "broken" with "will power". And most would rather continue with the devil one knows than to face the trauma of change, and facing alone the unknown of the devil one doesn't know. So most remain in the religion of their parents, in their habits, their dependencies, their addictions. One can only imagine how "HOLY" Christianity, Islam and Hinduism (the traditional religions) must be, by their "numbers". NOT!! Some adherents and their families have been with the same religion for centuries. Does that mean that more "numbers" means more "holy" or "nearer to ONE", what some call by the Gothic (German) word, "GOD". And then they call IT a "HIM" (male) and not a SPIRIT (neuter)?

Then traditional religions are not corrupt, as Chari claims, but they must be more "RIGHT" as they have more "numbers". Even religions which promote and use violence and/or religions which don't promote or use violence but which have used violence in their "crusading" past, still have large numbers of "adherents", as the faithful are "stuck" with their so-called "corrupt religion", even after decades, and centuries.

So... go ahead and, as Chari says, lure your neighbours to Sahaj Marg with "TRY IT", and you may have en-snared them for decades and centuries, and not because Sahaj Marg is more "RIGHT". And give them (the neo-religions) your children and/or your neighbours' children, before the age of reason and the children will also belong to the tyrants and the businessmen who would use religion to promote their self-serving agendas, even to violence and war. They will use religious myths and fantasies on your children before your children can tell the difference between religious Fantasy and REALITY. That is what some (nationalists, profiteers, predators, etc..) who use religions do.

You'll have created your own "Santa Claus" ... And you'll have to live with it, and/or try and explain and demystify it for the next generations as we are doing. That your Sahaj Marg Bible was "channeled" by an anonymous French lady Medium will sound very "shallow", when faced with the REALITY .

They are also instructed to believe in the dreams of an "anonymous French Lady medium", who channels messages from the spirits of the dead, they call: Whispers from the Brighter World, and which they are told, will erase their "samskaras" (allegedly being impressions on their soul from their actions) if they ritually repeat the messages (whispers) "seven or eight times". At SRCM (California-1997), Spirituality has become "spiritualism" or "spiritism" with mediums, messages from the spirits of the dead, and egregores.

Chari's SRCM (California-1997) with its trademarked (for trade and commercial products) meditation, Sahaj Marg, is headquartered in Chennai (Pop. 4.3 milliion- was called Madras) in the State of Tamil Nadu (Pop. 66.3 million), on the Bay of Bengal, in Southeastern India.

Chari, the Master and President of SRCM (California-1997), claims to be a Tamil, and a Vaishnava (a worshipper or follower of Vishnu). On 23rd January 1896 Hujur Maharaj had taken Mahatma Ram Chandraji completely in his shelter i.e. initiated him and accepted him as his disciple. Soon thereafter on 11th October, 1896 Hujur Maharaj bestowed ‘Kully Izazat’ i.e. Master hood on Mahatma Ram Chandraji stating, ‘My Master (Maulvi Ahmad Ali Khan Sahab) had mentioned that people will benefit spiritually from me, but unfortunately I could not prove myself able to discharge this duty fully. Now my end is nearing but I am hopeful that after me you shall discharge this duty satisfactorily and will make my Master’s forecast come true.

(That is nine months from initiation to Lalaji being bestowed Master-hood in the Naqshbandiyya Sufi Order, to become its first giaour (non-Muslim) Master. But "perfection" is a little more elusive, is it not? Even Saints are not and do not claim to be PERFECT!! Does Chari and SRCM(California-1997) think that "Master" means "Perfect"? What about "self-appointed" Masters such as Chari? Are they automatically or self-appointed-ly PERFECT?

And there were many more contacts and teaching exchanges between Lalaji and Hujur Maharaj. Reaching "perfection" in seven months sounds like another Sahaj Marg fantasy so as to create a Sahaj Marg "myth" apart from the Sufi REALITY of Lalaji and the Naqshbandiyya lineage. Why are all the Abhyasis not following "SUFISM" or becoming members of the Naqshbandiyya Sufi Order if they want to "obey" their so-called "first" Master?)

Mahatma Ram Chandraji was the first giaour (non-Muslim) saint of the Naqshbandi (Sufi) Order. His father Chaudhary (chaudhary/chowdhary means "chieftain") Harbaksh Rai was one of the descendants of a highly respected Kayasth (upper caste, along with the brahmins) family of District Mainpuri. Emperor Akbar (the Great Mughal Emperor, 1556) had gifted Babu Vrindavan, one of the renowned ancestors of this family, with the title ‘Chowdhary’ and 555 villages amongst many other things. Babu Vrindavan named one of these villages as ‘Bhoom-gram’ and started living there. With the passage of time this village developed into a small town and its name got distorted to ‘Bhogaon.’

Ch. Harbaksh Rai initially lived in Bhogaon but later after the mutiny in 1857 moved to Farukhabad. He was appointed as Superintendent-Octroi.

Lalaji's ancestors starting with Babu Vrindavan, were apparently upper caste, tax collectors for the Mughals (from Akbar the Great - 1556) and provided the Persian Muslim Mughals with tax money, military men and animals, until the so-called by some British historians: "The Sepoy (military) Mutiny of 1857" (East India Company from the British Victorian era), also called the "Indian Rebellion of 1857". Maybe this explains the reticence of Babuji's family to accept his becoming a disciple of Lalaji. This is what Lalaji wrote in a letter dated 09.12.1930 to Shri Madan Mohan Laal,regarding the appointment of "Br. Pandit Rameshwar Prasad" as the "center-in-charge of Shahjahanpur": "Brother Ram Chandra undoubtedly has ability and agility in this respect, but I am sorry that due to restrictions of his father, narrowness of heart and space, and intricacies of his home, my sagacity did not permit me for the time being to throw the responsibility on him. …” (see Epitome of Sahaj Marg). That letter was written one year before Lalaji's death in Aug, 1931. Babuji was never a "preceptor" or a "center-in-charge" of Lalaji's organization.

As a result of the benediction of a great saint, the Holy Man Laalaaji was born to Chaudhari Har Bux Rai, the superintendent of Customs and Excise, Farrukhabad, on Basant Panchami, February 2, 1873. Having passed his Middle class ‘Anglo-Vernacular Examination’ in April 1891, he entered in Government service. It was at this time, at the early age of 18, that he came in contact with his peer-o-Murshad (Preceptor) and was formally initiated by him on June 06, 1896 and was granted full powers of the saint-preceptor on October 11, 1896.

His ancestors were one of the biggest property owners of the area and lived like almost as a mini “RAJA” (king). I have had occasion to have a visit to his ancestral house in Bhongaon, in District Mainpuri (an adjoining District to Farrukhabad). An Elephant could easily pass through its Main Porch. For a considerable, time Chaudhary Har Bux Rai remained childless.

His father Sri Harbux Rai belonged to a very distinguished family of kayasths. His great grand father was a person of rare genius and his fine qualities and noble attainments won for him, from the Great Moghul emperor unstinted praise and friendship. He was given the title of Chowdhari (chieftain) and a jagir comprising 555 villages. He resided in the town of Bhoomigram in the district of Mainpuri in UP India. The family which got affected by the after effects of the uprising of the Indians in 1857 (called sepoy mutiny by the biased British historians) migrated to Fategarh, U.P. Here he worked as tax superintendent and began to live with his family. But in the changed circumstances his state had been subjected to considerable damage and his assets were just enough to live the old aristocratic life.

In Pakistan and India, a Jagir was a small territory granted by the ruler to an army chieftain in fairly short terms usually of three years but not extending beyond his lifetime, in recognition of his military service. The grantee of the jagir, called a Jagirdar, was in effect the ruler of that region and substantial income that was earned (taxes, etc.) from this region went to the owner to maintain his family and his troops. The jagirdar would live at court in Delhi, keeping up his rank and appearing twice a day before the emperor; consequently the jagirdar preferred to receive his share of the dues from the estates in coin rather than in kind.

So forget about going to the "BRIGHTER WORLD" and resting on a cloud or having nothing to do. Apparently, the "dead" will, in the future??, be very busy sending "whispers" to everyone and anyone. Oh! The Tedium! And of course, all will then know the "future"! So why Messages? Such a misunderstanding of the "illusion" called: TIME, from the SPIRITUALISTS or the SPIRITISTS!

In REAL Spirituality, not "spiritualism" or "spiritism", TIME is an illusion or a TEMPORARY measurement of MOTION or change. Motion will not STOP, and TIME will not disappear as a measurement of MOTION. The ONE (or ONE-ness) is "eternal" (no beginning, no end) and hence, beyond TIME.

The Universe is in MOTION (changing) and expanding (Hubble) and that MOTION (or change) is measured as TIME. Babuji and other "dual", and now "dead" carbon entities, if they still have an "identity" (Babuji), are in TIME and hence have a conceptual FUTURE as they have a "theoretical" and un-verifiable and/or "anecdotal" PAST, for those abhyasis still living in this "world" of illusions. They do not have a PRESENT ... they are DEAD. If they are SPIRIT, (merged with the ULTIMATE) then they are in the ONE-ness , the "POOL", or the "OCEAN" of SPIRIT.

SPIRIT, (not "spirit-s") not having an "identity", does not send "MESSAGES" ... and does not know the FUTURE, as SPIRIT exists in the ONE-ness or in the eternal present of SPIRIT ... "If the number of our aspirants is constant or declining in certain places, there is nothing alarming about that. Didn't I tell you, a few years ago, that Sahaj Marg was to be purified?"

Funny when one knows that Chari announces 75, 000 abhyasis in the year 2000, and 3 years later, their number has tripled in India. All this to tell us then that the SRCM has 200 to 300, 000 followers ...

Babuji allegedly said this in 2001, in full expansion phase? Maybe ... But the message from the "Brighter World", was only posted on the website of the SMSF on June 9, 2009, just 9 days after the speech by Chari on schedule changes in New Delhi (Change of Satsangh Timings, 31/05/2009):

"(...) We have made the mistake of not obeying Babuji's principles where he said," I want quality, not quantity. "I believe that somewhere along the way in the past forty five years, this mistake was made by me first, that we started thinking of numbers and not quality so that today we have a great deal of numbers and not much quality. "

The communication of the SRCM is really running smoothly! Either Babuji was a prophet (a visionary) in 2001 (or Chari or his medium was, as you like) and those who disseminate his messages deliberately chose the right time to disseminate it (8 years later), or these messages are written backwards, so as to match the actual REALITY.

Chari, is he a psychopath?

Psychopathy is a personality disorder in which the patient uses charm, manipulation, intimidation and violence to control and exploit others for his/her personal gains and ends. Psychopathy is characterized as the denial of the individuality of others and the chronic failure of ethical principles.

The main traits of the psychopath are:

* Narcissism, vanity, selfishness,
* Charm and magnetism
* Exaggerated sense of self worth,
* Pathological lying,
* Manipulating others.

The emotional features include:

* Lack of remorse and guilt,
* Lack of empathy
* Inability to accept his/her own responsibility in case of failure.

Lifestyle include:

* Constant search for stimulation,
* Impulsivity,
* Irresponsibility
* Tendency to live as a parasite,
* Ambition,
* Unrealistic life goals.

The parallel is striking. Some examples (non-exhaustive list) may give us an idea:

*Narcisism, vanity, egoism: claims to have the ability to make anyone "self-realized" in the blink of an eye, claims to be the only one who knows and understands the spiritual needs of every individual, was granted (by himself) full powers - spiritual as well as temporal, etc.,

* Charm and magnetism: creating a "star" system centered on his own person and not the Divine

* Exaggerated sense of self-worth: In a inversion of values, he takes himself for a Divine Incarnation whereas, Babuji considered himself only as a servant, does not deem to appear before the justice of men for the crimes of which he is accused, etc..,

* Pathological lying: Occultation of Sufism from the history of Sahaj Marg, the emergence of the transmission technique as if by magic, death and succession of Babuji, Babuji's orders received (chanelled) from the beyond, etc..,

* Manipulating others: (see examples and analysis of manipulations on this and many other blogs) manipulation of published information, etc..,

* Lack of remorse and guilt: everything that is done, including ethically dubious acts, is by order of his imaginary Master.

* Lack of empathy: having transcended the human level (delusion), he feels no empathy for others, and requires the complete submission of all abhyasis, etc..,

* Inability to accept his own responsibility in case of failure: the fault is invariably that of the abhyasis and the preceptors, he tolerates no criticism, etc..,

* The constant search for stimulation: business, travel, oversized projects, etc..,

* Impulsivity: changes his mind like a shirt,

* Irresponsibility: does not take the spiritually responsible role that he has self-assigned himself (quantitative approach, rather than a qualitative approach, and the monitoring of serious spiritual abhyasis)

* The tendency to live as a parasite: Building (and purchasing) palaces and cottages, leads a lavish lifestyle under the guise of spiritual service, etc.,

* Ambition: to enslave all humanity in his system of mind control for the masses, (trademarked Sahaj Marg), reaching the top of the pyramid by all dubious means, including the elimination of rivals, etc.,

* Unrealistic Life goals: to reach the Ultimate, merge with IT, and lead any person who submits to his will to the same level, spiritualize all of mankind, etc..

A recent study of the character traits of our political leaders reveals a surprising fact: Politicians and psychopaths share the traits listed above ... Chari is our leader, is he also a MAZI*?

* Christian's play on the word: "NAZI" (German Fascism) ... for Nationalist Socialism or more accurately, National Corporatism ... "M" is short for "Mondiale" in French, or "Global" in English. Comment by 4d-don: Some features of Sahaj Marg created by Chari, that Christian passed over lightly and demands more research by the serious "seeker" who does not want to be lured into a WEB or a SNARE:

* Creation of a so-called "favourable egregore", a potentially dangerous "autonomous psychic entity" or a "groupthink". Both do not belong in serious Spirituality nor in Raja Yoga, nor Sufism, but is a "SPIRITUALIST" ritual. It can also be called: SPIRIT-ism!!

* Messages from "beyond the grave" channeled by an anonymous French lady Medium, which are to become the Sahaj Marg "BIBLE" according to Chari. The alleged message-senders include Chari's Mother and his wife.
Who is the "anonymous" Medium that all the abhyasis will now be asked to believe and trust? Another "elite" chosen of GOD?

* A continued repetition of the imaginary (fictitious) role of Lalaji in Sahaj Marg or in the SRCM, even after the bloggers have exposed all the accurate and "true" information and that the truth is now "confirmed" by Babuji's journals, Lalaji's journals and family, and other "legitimate" Lalaji organizations (NaqshMuMRa Sufi Order, and RamAshram). Lalaji had nothing to do with Sahaj Marg or with SRCM!!

Lalaji was used after his death by Babuji, and Babuji did not call his society in "honour of Lalaji" but the "Shri Ram Chandra Mission" was named after "himself" as instructed by Vivekananda in his dreams. (See Babuji's journal with comments by Christian).

Tell the TRUTH, Chari!! Change your Web site. Come on, honest Abhyasis and Preceptors, demand that you be told the TRUTH by those who would lead you to the GREAT MORALITY!! Would such "immorality" and un-ethical behaviour not lead one to "perdition"? Would you teach that to the children? By Example?

Conquering Europe! Sahaj Marg is Targeting the Children with VBSE!!

The Value Based Spiritual Education (VBSE) for Europe?

It is time to develop education based on spiritual values (VBSE) across Europe, has just announced Ajay Kumar Bhatt. All VBSE coordinators should introduce and develop the VBSE activities with abhyasis in their European countries. A first meeting will take place at the Berlin Ashram from the 16th to 18th of October, 2009 ...

It is high time to worry, the VBSE has wreaked havoc in India. It should not happen with the same result in Europe.

I suggest a quick look back at some highlights for illustration.

The Sahaj Marg Research and Training Institute (SMRTI) first became interested in the young and the very young audience in 2000. They developed fables and nursery rhymes to develop the "Culture of Sahaj Marg" from early childhood and developed a range of services for youth, and programs for their teachers. It also encouraged the formation of meditation groups at universities, particularly American universities.

All this has prompted the Institute to create a sort of guide for the values for of a so-called "spiritual education", the Value Based Spiritual Education, (VBSE)), intended for educators, teachers and parents. And it was soon used in the education and training of the children and young people by the followers of Sahaj Marg. It is now used by more than one hundred schools in India, by the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM (California-1997) . Beneath a very humanistic facade, it conveys the thoughts of Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari, which are often less than stellar.

But this did not suffice. Always in search of recognition and respectability, Chari has created his own school February 28, 2005, the Lalaji Memorial Omega School (LMOS) which later became International (LMOIS), where the VBSE is widely used. Echoes of India in July 2008 lingered on the summer camps of the SRCM (California-1997) for children and young people, citing no less than 8 examples from India, in which the VBSE is still widely used.

He had nothing left to do but to take advantage of his accreditation to the DPI. All of this has materialized last August 12, (2009) in a national essay competition offered to youth in all schools of India to mark the International Day of Youth, organized by SRCM (California-1997) in collaboration with the 'UN Information Center for India and Bhutan (UNIC).

According to the SRCM (California-1997) , this action would have mobilized nearly 75, 000 children and youth participants from 10 to 24 years of age, in 2008 without the cooperation of the UNIC.

How many (students, teachers, parents) have they lured this year with the UNIC collaboration?

4d-Don's Comments: This is where the danger of "egregores", groupthink, and/or blind obedience, becomes Reality. It is in the "crowd dynamics" or the "mob mentality" that the groupthink or the "autonomous egregores" become really "autonomous", hence DANGEROUS, and obviously so. It is now known and accepted by most sociologists, that the emotions and also the actions of an individual by him/herself, are different from his/her emotions and actions in, or as part of a group, an audience, a crowd, a mob, a team, a protest, a group conflict, (real or mock, as with Sports), etc ... It seems that the heat, or the emotions of the group compel many to "do likewise" without thinking (autonomous, mob mentality), and many are simply led by the emotions of the crowd, or "of the moment", as one may sometimes claim apologetically in retrospect. The actions of a group are not always led by the creator of the egregore, and the egrogores may take on a life of their own, sometimes creating chaos, and/or very undesirable outcomes... In a "protest" of mob action, the violence does not necessarily begin at the "front" of the mob, with the leaders, but at the outskirts of the crowd, where the less motivated and the more sheepish, the "holy innocent" or the expendable "martyrs" gather.

One could also see the use of "egregores" or groupthink in the marketplace in what is (or was) called "impulse buying", along with the strategic placing of products in the marketplace. Hence the creator of the "egregore" in this case, could be attempting to attract and to motivate the "buyers" to look at one's "brand" favorably, and to purchase it, without thinking (on impulse) or with "directed thinking". The outcome is sometimes un-expected. Egregores are not efficacious tools for SPIRITUALITY where ONE or the ULTIMATE, is the goal. There is no room for "autonomous psychic entities" (egregores) in serious "spirituality". When ritualistic "autonomous" Egregores are created and used in a religious context, that is called "spiritualism"!

"A few thoughts came just now during meditation. Babuji Maharaj has said that there are certain requirements, fundamental requirements, for what he called saintliness-not sainthood, because sainthood he said is like the snake-saintliness. (What does that mean?? (snake?) In Urdu, he said illat, killat, zillat. (That may be Dinaysh Kumar Saxena, and NaqshMuMra, but it is not Sahaj Marg or Chari. How many "corrupt" cottages does Chari need, in a world when there are so many "homeless". It's "OBSCENE"!! And the cottages were built with "charity dollars" that could feed some POOR if re-directed from Sahaj Marg or other similar Materialist and Spiritualist RELIGIONS! ) That is, you can roughly say that one should have less health than good health, less money than you need and always somebody to criticise you. Of course he also used to say, "Don't talk about this in Western countries because they will run away." The Western culture is for prosperity, beauty, health. And Sahaj Marg says if you want to be a saint-of course if you don't want to be saint, it is all right you see; you can do what you like."

Since Chari and the Sahaj Marg and the SRCM (California-1997) is now saying this to "Western (Christian) countries", then we have a REPLY!! To take the "temple" (the body) given to all by ONE, as either as a "gift" or by "karma", and to willingly will upon it, "less health", is to say the least, psychologically a "suicidal" line of thought, and philosophically and spiritually, not very elevated. One could consider it a "flaw of Logic" and as such "self-destructive". It is one thing to pray, as an act of "charity", to "take on" the suffering of others, so as to reduce that Suffering in others, or as a form of empathy, but to wish less health for the sake of acquiring more "spirituality" as if to "revel in", or to be grateful for, GOOD HEALTH was a SIN and hence, "un-spiritual".

So, you "Masters Of The WORLD" wannabees, keep eating your "fat" and "spicy" (Indian) diets (not Raja Yoga) and live out of "airports" and in "hotels", with the un-natural "jet-setters", and develop more "un-Natural" houses of GOD and cottages for yourselves, to live (travel, accomodation, food, ) at the cost of others CHARITY. Those charity dollars (of the gullible, but kind-hearted abhyasis) would go to the POOR, if the so-called "SAINTLY" did not take it all. That is the TRUE meaning of those words.

As far as "less money", You and most of your "management team", fail in that also ... Many of US have less money than Chari, and less money than most of the "management team" of SRCM (California-1997). I don't own hotels, restaurants, Castles, "multiple houses", Commercial Property, etc...etc...etc...

But since you "fail" at the first two, you will have many "critics" as you will be seen as "hypocrites", preaching, as most religions, what you don't DO!! But that will not give you: SAINT-hood or SAINTLY-ness.)

"So, to be a saint means to accept less health than good health, less income than you need, and criticism from as many as possible. They keep you on what is called the straight and narrow-obviously. (Obviously?? Only if one DOES it, not simply "THINKS about it, and SPEAKS the Talk but does not WALK THE WALK. Chari speaks as if he knows how to be a saint. Oh! People who are greedy for money do "evil" things for the control of "money".) We all say it, but we want more and more of it. More and more of it should go to people who can do good with it, but they don't have it. [chuckles] (He must mean "himself"...[chuckles] ) More and more of it goes to people who shoot their way around, murder, pillage, rape. They seem to get more and more. They are also flourishing with health. (Who are "THEY"? ... Just a "fictitious invention" so as to get more money from the gullible abhyasis!) Because to indulge in the pleasures of life, whether of the body or of the mind, you need health. That is one reason why people don't like to become old; because old age progressively restricts your-not desires-but the ability to enjoy those desires. Old age is a blessing in that sense, you see, in the sense that, what you could not use your will power to put a stop to, Nature puts a stop to. But unfortunately, old age does not do the same with your income-not necessarily (I am not talking of salaried people who are getting less pension-they also invest; they also get money) because you have to buy indulgence. (Is that RIGHT? Who buys "indulgences"? Could you name them? ) As they say in the West, ( or in the East...) there is no free lunch. Everything has a price."

So, the bohemian life, the life of pleasure, extracts a price, whether in terms of money or whether in terms of depleting your health, your mental reserves. (So does attraction and addiction to the MATERIAL.) And of course, spirituality goes to the dogs. Now wisdom says, please accept this as the bottom line of need for a spiritual life. You know, we always talk so much of renunciation. We praise the Christian religion because Jesus said, "Sell all that you have, distribute it to the poor and follow me." That was addressed to the rich man or for people who had something to sell. He didn't tell the powerful, strong people, "Give up! Weaken yourself!", because we can't. Nobody can weaken himself deliberately. (NOT TRUE! How convenient to use the Master (God) of other so-called "corrupt" religions to make POINTS. And the quotes are not "accurate" and are interpreted wrongly.) So what should we do? Sahaj Marg hits the nail on the head and says, "Renounce in your mind." (lol lol ... Sahaj Marg (Chari) hits the head with a hammer and a nail! Oh! That is called "attract" (money, material, etc...) and then preach "renounce in the MIND" (words) and then, "detachment", (or the non-profit society model, where all expenses (salaries, travel, accomodations, etc...) are paid by the "charity dollars", just as in all "corrupt" RELIGIONS ... this is not renunciation in REALITY or "in the MIND", and is not "detachment" but it is reveling and living in Opulence, but preaching "simplicity" or "renounce in the mind".)

"We have famous examples in our literature in India of emperors who are saints. Janaka Chakravarthy was supposed to have been one of the greatest of them. He was called a Raja Rishi-one who was simultaneously an emperor and a great ascetic. But that sort of combination is perhaps extremely rare to the extent that you may find one in ten thousand years. When Babuji says such a personality cannot be born very often and you may hardly find one in ten thousand years, that is what he means you see. One who has everything, but having everything behaves as if he has nothing. In one sense you can say this is also a description of what we term as God. (Babuji never said such a thing about an "emperor" and "ascetic"... Chari is using Babuji to get money from YOU) (Chari wants to be GOD, why not, maybe he can STEAL that Name TOO or "self appoint" himself GOD!! The Abhyasis will believe anything!) He has nothing; He has no body, no form, no face, no physical existence, no powers, no wisdom, no intelligence and no mind. Yet everything comes from Him." (The ONE is not a "HE". IT IS ALL so IT has (or IS) EVERYTHING ... But Chari may have no "intelligence" and/or a small MIND but he has a MIND. Everything comes from IT, the First Cause! and IT is not called GOD, but is ONE) ...

The Diaspora of Senior Preceptors

Professor of Philosophy now retired, SP Srivastava taught yogic science at the University of Lakhimpur (Uttar Pradesh, India). His meeting with Babuji dates to 1948-49. He chaired the working committee of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission Shahjahanpur for ten years, from 1984 to 1994, taking advantage of the time to publish the second part of the memoires of Babuji. Subsequently, he distanced himself from the son of Babuji and the teaching of Sahaj Marg. He wanted to abolish the border between so-called hard sciences, yoga and spirituality. To this end, he created an association with a Belgian branch that is called Shri Ram Chandra Memorial International Society Promoting Spirituality As A Science (INSPSAAS).

The Shri Ram Chandra Mission Shahjahanpur quickly becomes an empty shell after his departure. Raghavendra Rao and Ramachandra Reddy had accompanied Umesh Chandra Saxena on his tour of the U.S. in 82, but he was more opposed to Rajagopalachari than loyal to the son of Babuji. The behavior of Umesh annoys and displeases him. Gradually, the senior preceptors take their distance. The real Sahaj Marg is now taught by a galaxy of preceptors spreads across the country as through a network without head or structure, traveling from one community to another, including abroad.

Raghavendra Rao gave up his place on the Working Committee, which he had held since 84. The full preceptor is now in his ashram of Raichur in Karnataka, where he teaches the Sahaj Marg of Babuji to all those who come to see him until the end of his life in the spring of 2006. With the complicity of the police, and armed thugs, Rajagopalachari immediately grabbed his ashram. Shortly after, Suresh Kumar Makam created a blog to his memory (http://makamsureshkumar.blogspot.com/). Karnataka is rich in old preceptors: in Gulbarga, the full preceptor Narayan Rao, born around 1922, continues his teaching, while Dr. Rao Shiam steps back for some time. In Bangalore, the former judge of the High Court of Justice, the full preceptor Vital Rao, affectionately nicknamed "Judge", also continued his teaching, despite his age (he was born around 1924).

Ramachandra Reddy, meanwhile, also abandons his place on the Working Committee and returns to Cuddapah in Andhra Pradesh. The full preceptor creates the Chandraji Shri Ram Maharaj Seva Trust, a separate structure on behalf of the Mission so as to avoid any legal disputes, and teaches Sahaj Marg until his death in 2008. This structure is currently headed by TV lawyer Srinivasa Rao. Jogarao, a very old preceptor, born about 1913, died last year at Hyderabad.

In Europe, Andre Poray (born about 1909 and died at more than 90 years of age) is one of the first Westerners to have met Babuji. First friends with Rajagopalachari, this full tutor of Sanary Var (France) is very distant from him from 80-82, during the tours of Babuji to Munich and Paris. He then established an association, under the (French) legislation of 1901, called "The Road to Reality" where he taught a Sahaj Marg slightly tinged with Tibetan Buddhism to which he was particularly attached. Rajagopalachari had initially offered him to join him, before his removal from office of preceptor, which had given him a "good laugh", like other preceptors.

As in India, there are today independent groups in France in Lyon, Tours and Paris, in the southwest and the Maritime Alps, but also in Spain at Barcelona, and even in Switzerland. Each year, a European meeting was held in October at Sanary. These disciples of Babuji received from time to time the visit of these great preceptors, or attended meetings with them in India, at the mercy of their whereabouts. In late 2008, Cyrille Roux emerged from the shadows to speak on the Web and make known the existence of their groups. Why?

Narayana and Kasturi, unlike the previous, have always thought that Babuji had prepared Rajagopalachari as his successor as president of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission. Consequently, they never followed his son Umesh. However, they deny anyone the right to proclaim to be the spiritual representative of Babuji, as today Rajagopalachari is doing.

Kasturi Chaturvedi, full preceptor and the only "Saint" of Sahaj Marg in the words of Babuji, met him in 1949. From Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), she teaches the Sahaj Marg of her timeless master with a certain degree of independence vis-à-vis the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, and always stayed away from its administration.

On April 30, 1995, she delivered a memorable speech before Rajagopalachari in Madras in the presence of 12,000 of his followers when she first recognized that Babuji had prepared Rajagopalachari as his spiritual representative and President of the Mission, adding that Babuji had dictated to her his statement of Rajagopalachari's nomination for the presidency - it is the taking of this position by Kasturi which would have led to the withdrawal by Umesh in 84 and Srivastava was appointed in his place, in order to avoid a possible bursting (explosion) of the Mission . But after this introduction, all the rest of her speech focused on the fact that she can no longer accept Rajagopalachari as his "idol worshipers" have made of him, with their propaganda.

Interviewed by telephone by Shashwat Pandey, February 20, 2009, she now says that Rajagopalachari is not the master of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, but only its manager. She now claims she has never seen his letter of appointment and that the only Master of the Mission is Babuji. She then denounces very guarded and yet acerbic manner, everything that Rajagopalachari does. (celebrations of weddings, major ashrams, calls for donations, a publication of Whispers, etc..). She also says that she knows that all the ashrams established at the time of Babuji were taken by force by supporters of Rajagopalachari, and that a trial opposes him to the descendants of Babuji, all because there is a lot of money involved, hence the current evolution of the Mission and that she regrets and that she has now left. Despite this, Kasturi is an authoritative figure in the movement of Sahaj Marg, Rajagopalachari has kept her on his list of preceptors. She also adds that Lalaji has nothing to do with Sahaj Marg, one of her followers adds that Lalaji is Santmat.

Her collaborators Akshat Gupta and Pandit Ji Somesh have created a blog devoted to her in November, 2006 (http://kasturibhenji.blogspot.com/), available only to its members since the spring 2009. In France, after Cyril Roux, it is also Denise and Jean-François Minceta, from Tours and now exiled to Canada, Victoria, British Columbia, who in late 2008 mention the groups which are linked to her, the translation of her texts, etc.. Why do they come from the shadows now after 25 years of silence?

After Babuji and Kasturi, Dr. KC Varadachari (14/08/1902-30/01/1971) is probably one of the greatest historical figures of Sahaj Marg. The meeting between Babuji and Dr. Varadachari dates from 1955 and rapidly turned into a deep friendship. Holder of the famous Vivekananda Chair at the University of Madras, and professor of Philosophy at Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh), he created the Sahaj Marg Research Institute in 1965 and contributed to the spread of Sahaj Marg to the general public and its re-anchoring around the Hindu Raja Yoga. But in 1970, He gives Babuji warning about the risks of "drifting" of Sahaj Marg teaching due to its rapid expansion.

Karumbur Chakravarthy Narayana is his (Dr. KC Varadachari) third child, born June 11, 1939. He met Babuji at his home for the first time in 1955 and was introduced to Sahaj Marg in December 1956 at the age of 17. Babuji asked him in 79, to assist Rajagopalachari in his duties as president of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, after his death, which he performs up to 91. He has even taken the lead in 89 of the Sahaj Marg Research Institute founded by his father. But he eventually quits to found the ISRC (Institute of Sri Ramchandra Consciousness) in Hyderabad in August 1991. He complains of his (Chari's) developing of a cult of personality through the unhealthy concepts of a "living Master" and of being the spiritual representative of Babuji, which he is not.

With the ISRC (http://www.sriramchandra.org/), KC Narayana teaches a Sahaj Marg heavily borrowed from the ideas of his father, Dr. KC Varadachari and the Pranahuti Aided Meditation (PAM). The ISRC has approximately 150 instructors, mostly in India and the USA, two of them reside in France. It has also created its own research and training center called Imperience (http://www.imperience.org/) and its own Sahaj Seva Foundation samsthdna (http://www.sahajsevasamsthan.org/), which manages a hospital, schools and is manufacturing various products.

Present on the web for a long time, the ISRC and Narayana have also created a website dedicated exclusively to Doctor Varadachari (http://drkcv.org/), which can be easily understood because of his reputation. But on June 23, 2008, it is the self promotional website of Narayana, which is born (http://www.kcnarayana.org/), contradicted by the facts that what is taught is supposedly focused on Babuji and is totally depersonalized. So he does not hesitate to list his qualities we, to quote the words of praise for him from Babuji, supporting evidence of his support, and talks about his career and his family ... In short, all the ingredients to personalize spirituality in the ISRC fashion, are now in place!

Let us Recap.

Today, with the disappearance of one and the other, over time, there remains little more than the grand-son of Babuji, Navneet and Puneet Kumar Saxena, head of a mission that has become virtual since the taking over of the Ashram of Shahjahanpur, in a series of lawsuits against the California (1997) Mission of Rajagopalachari. After the diaspora of senior preceptors, there remains the full preceptors; Kasturi in Lucknow, Narayan Rao in Gulbarga and Vital Rao in Bangalore, with many scattered communities in India and abroad, not forgetting the very structured ISRC KC Narayana . For his part, Rajagopalachari seems more or less to be manipulating the last surviving son of Babuji at Shahjahanpur, Sarvesh, and the grandson of Lalaji, Dinaysh at Fatehgarh.

Since I am a Vaishnava, I will talk to you a little about bhakti [devotion]. Bhakti is said to be like a flow of oil, you know-there are no droplets.

What is Vaishnava?

Awareness, recognition, and growth of the belief has significantly increased outside of India in recent years. The Gaudiya Vaishnava branch^[9] of the tradition has significantly increased the awareness of Vaishnavism internationally, since the mid-1900s, largely through the activities and geographical expansion of the Hare Krishna movement, primarily through ISKCON and more recently, through several other Vaishnava organizations conducting preaching activities in the West.^[10]

Unlike other schools of Hinduism whose goal is liberation (moksha), or union with the Supreme Brahman, the ultimate goal of Vaishnava practice is an eternal life of bliss (ananda) in service to Vishnu, or one of his many avatars, in the spiritual realm of 'Vaikuntha ', which lies beyond the temporary world of illusion (maya).

I don’t know how many of you read Whispers [from the Brighter World] every day. I have told you, you should not read the whole book like a novel. One message every morning, meditate on it. Again and again Babuji says the human being of today… and in so many descriptive terms He describes us as a shame on earth. I mean if we had any heart, we should feel ashamed. We should weep — that will do the cleaning which we are not doing every day. One good weep, weep, is worth a month’s cleaning. But we have too much of this humanness, human ego: “I am a strong man, I never weep.” So such lessons also fall flat on our ears and we are unable to work.

Apparently, according to Chari, for the "shame on earth", (the abhyasis) who have "no heart" (heartless), "weeping" is better that "cleaning" as recommended by Babuji and Sahaj Marg!! I agree!! Shame! And WEEP for the DIVISIONS you have created in your SOCIETY, your country and many others, and in the families of the gullible "SERFS"!!

This is an article by Dinaysh Kumar Saxena, grandson of Lalaji and current Dean of NaqshMuMRa Sufi Order, a lineage that reaches to the 6th century, and the Prophet Mohammed (570-632 ACE - After the Common Era) , and no mention by Lalaji of The Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM -Shahjahanpur-1945) , Sahaj Marg, succession orders to Babuji,... or Chariji.

Lalaji passed away in 1931. SRCM and Sahaj Marg originated and were founded and registered in 1945. SRCM (California-1997) was registered in the USA in 1997 after the Board of Directors of the SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945) refused Chari the Presidency of the Society founded by Babuji in 1945 claiming that his "suceession letter" was a forgery.

Epitome of Sahajmarg

There is only one God and, naturally, there is only one way to reach Him. The people have given many names to that stage. A particular institution named “Shri Ram Chandra Mission” has given birth to a new denomination to reach Him, “Sahaj Marg”. “Sahaj” and “Marg” (path) are two separate words. According to my limited knowledge, the word “Sahaj” is synonymous of “Aatma” (soul or sensitivity), i.e. connected some thing to the “Spirituality “. It means some particular school of spirituality, other than ‘Ramchandra School of Spirituality’, Headquarter at Fatehgarh (U.P.), India. However, very recently, it has been registered as a trademark of ‘Shri Ram Chandra Mission’. “The Mission is founded by Mahatma Shri Ram Chandra of Shahajahanpur and shall be called, Shri Ram Chandra Mission, after the name of his Master Samarth Guru Mahatma Shri Ram Chandra Ji Maharaaj of Fatehgarh (U.P.), the founder of Sahaj Marg System of attaining Spiritual perfection”. The said statement is the opening paragraph of its ‘Constitution and Bye-laws’ of the society, registered under the ‘Societies and Registration Act XXI of 1860’. The same statement has been repeated, in his work under the title of “Sahaj Marg system of yogic Saadhana” for Ph D awarded by Agra University in the year of 1970 (AD), Dr. Prem Sagar has written that “ Samarth Guru Mahatma Ramchandra Ji of Fatehgarh (U.P.) is a Aadiguru of Sahaj Marg System”. The statements do not seem to be true, because its nomenclature came in to existence in the year 1945 (AD), i.e. 14 years after his (Samarthguru Mahatma Ramchandra Ji Maharaj’s) physical demise in 1931 (of 14 years). In fact, the said Mahatma Ramchandra Ji (Laalaaji Maharaaj) of Fatehgarh (UP) India was a Naqushbandia (Sufi) Shaykh (Spiritual-Master). He had been admitted into the tradition without the formal conversion into Islam by his Pir-o-Murshad (Spiritual-Master), Hazrat Maulana Fazl Ahemad Khan Saahib (peace be upon him) of Qusba Raipur, Kaimganj, District Farrukhabad (U.P.). It is who brought the Sufism, out of the four-walls of Islam, making it accessible to everyone, irrespective of any caste and religion. According to him, (the) Sufism means mysticism as applied to natural sciences and thus a new lineage sprung up as NaqshMuMRa from the hierarchy of Laalaaji Saahib, but of course, adding no denomination of any particular religion.

The word, “Sahaj Marg” is, since a new term, in the realm of theology, the intellectuals, irrespective of the fact whether they are the “Abhyaasies” of ‘Sahaj Marg' itself or not but they want to know about its truth to the maximum extent. They also want to know, whether it is an offshoot of Sufism or Rajyoga. To know the truth about all these anxieties require, not the blind faith or intense loyalty. Mahatma Ram Chandra Ji (Baabuji) Maharaaj himself, has so adroitly resorted to expedient to do the best one can, and declared, Samarth Guru Mahatma Ram Chandra Ji Maharaaj of Fatehgarh (U.P.) was the founder of Sahaj Marg System, as already mentioned above. Whereas the fact is that the word, “Sahaj Marg” is totally absent from the vocabulary in Rev. Laalaaji’s writings.

In a reply dated February 14, 1963 to one of his friends named Shri Bhagwan Bharose Vaidya of Fatehgarh (UP), Rev. Baabuji’s statement has much relevancy here. “Times have undergone radical changes but to my greatest regret I find our brothers sleeping yet. The Mohammedan Systems have all breathed their last and this, Sahaj Marg; the only ONE has now emerged out in their place. Its teachings and methods widely differ from those of the old Systems in many respects. One having a developed vision and being sensitive to some extent at least, can easily mark well the difference between the two. The method of training and the nature of Faez are all purely hinduised and they are free from all superfluous things introduced into the ways of transmission under those Systems. The Spiritual connections of all Mohammedan Sansthas- Naqshbandi, Chishti and all have been cut off”.

Whereas, Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj has clearly mentioned in His Last Will (Wasihat Naamaa) recorded on 23 October 1930 (AD) - “As far as my intellect has activated this aajiz fakir, (self-annihilated one) has examined carefully the philosophy; the various faiths and the schools of thought. In the end, I have found the beliefs and the path shown by the Holy Masters of this hierarchy, on which the steady hold with, carries hope to stay lively, up to the last breath”.

Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj of Fatehgarh (UP) was the first non-Muslim Saint of “Naqushbandia, Mujaddadadiya, and Mazahariya system of Sufism. He having well connected ”nisbat” (the subtlest Divine thread) with its ancestry through his Spiritual Master Hazrat Maulana Fazl Ahemad Khan Saahib Raipuri, Kaimganji which has a certain well defined handling. He was, of course, against the rituals (meaningless social customs), but not the theological-ceremonies like ;(1) the disciple- making ceremony called Bay’t- placing the palm of once hand on the (that) hand of his Spiritual- Master, merely to have been the sign of sealing an agreement of allegiance. When a man or woman repented of his sins and had made up his mind to lead a life of righteous- ness and piety he/she had to perform Bay’t. The sprit seems to be for men/women to have direct communion with God, through the whole chain of the Spiritual Masters, so much so that all the intermediaries whose existence having been acknowledged are lost sight of, in the communion of men/women with God. (2) Ijazat/Khilafat, are determined on the question of Fana and Baqa, etc.

The ‘Sahaj Marg’ is schism of the ‘Ramchandra School of Spirituality’, renamed as NaqshMuMRa, occurred because of its manner, style and the vocabulary of Sufism. The split in socio-spiritual sects is not a strange phenomenon. Many religions, after the demise of their founders, dwindled either into insignificance or into use to split into innumerable branches. Here also the divine will cause the spread of the whole ‘Society’ after Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, everywhere, through its numerous branches and under different leadership. In fact, the philosophy and tenets have not undergone any major changes at the hands of different leaders, except the ‘Shri Ram Chandra Mission’.

There is an emphasis upon the living Guru. The founders held that Guru of the time alone could reveal the inner secrets, remove doubts and thus lead to salvation. In course of time, the essential truth about the “True Guru” was lost sight of and the faith degenerated into the cult of personality- worship.

There were two types of devotees turned –up before him (Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj) viz, (a) for esoteric (any thing that is inner) (b) were exoteric. Although, people of both the categories had come to learn the ‘Ramchandra School of Spirituality’ (now known as NaqshMuMRa). But the persons of division- (b) were those who were kept under review and the people of division (a), i.e.” esoteric” which had performed well enough to be admitted in the “inner” circle, selected for ‘Bay’t’ and the ceremony of the same was also solemnized sacredly.

Before unveiling the fact about Rev. Baabuji of Shahjahanpur, as to which category he belonged to, whether (a) or (b) let me explain a nuances between ‘esoterism’ and the ‘mysticism’. Esotericism largely overlaps with “hidden knowledge”. Some overlap exists as well between esotericism and mysticism. However, many mystical traditions do not attempt to introduce additional Spiritual knowledge, but rather seek to focus the believer’s attention. A mystic is thus not necessarily an esotericist.

According to S. Radhakrishnan, a teacher is one who “contributes to the transmission of intellectual heritage and our technical skills and to training our people”. A teacher is a man of intellectual knowledge. A Guru, on the other hand, besides being informed soul is also self- realized soul. Whereas a teacher merely gives the pupil information, the Guru leads one to the higher stage of consciousness leading to the destruction of avidya. One does not have to search for a Guru. Swami Ranganathananda upholds that “when the need for the knowledge which the Guru possesses comes so also will the Guru come”. Implying thereby, that whenever we genuinely crave for Him we will meet Him. Kabir, Swami Dayananda, Swami Vivekananda et al met their mentors just by some strange in explicable coincidence.

His holiness the Dalai Lama interprets the term ‘Guru’ in two ways. According to him, “on the one hand, the Guru is the human teacher we interact with; on the other hand, the Guru is our own inner wisdom, our own fundamental clarity of mind”. He is some one who is an exemplar, who gives one the confidence that perfection is possible, and whom one wants to emulate. Guru is regarded as the one who personifies the trinity- Brahama, Vishnu and Mahesha. He is the living example of the creator, the sustainer and the destroyer of the universe

An unprejudiced and a careful reader, after meditating the whole writing from A to Z will agree with me that Rev. Baabuji of Shahjahanpur belonged to the category (b) as mentioned above. So far the literature of ‘Shri Ram Chandra Mission’ is concerned, there is no date of “Bay’t” or in any other way, he took “Deekshaa” from his Guru (Spiritual Master) is available.

It was the regular practice of Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj of Fatehgarh (U.P.) to maintain his diary up-to-date. He never failed to mention the name of his disciple; he performed the ceremony of “Bay’t, on that very day. All the diaries, available in his record and the whole literature published by the “Shri Ram Chandra Mission” scrutinized most carefully but the date of Rev. Baabuji’s “Bay’t” ceremony found nowhere. The work is still in progress. If the date of his Bay’t/Deekshaa (Rev. Baabuji) becomes available in any record it would be published immediately. His role as disciple remain limited to see the ‘dreams’ and to send the copies of the whole months collection with his covering letter, regularly and punctually to his “Master”, Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, who used to send the précised reply to Baabuji.

The extract of Rev. Baabuji Maharaj’s diary dated 17 September 1931 (i.e. more than one month later the physical demise of Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj) – “Saw a saint in a dream. He was seated on a bed and you were seated to the left. The Saint asked for my hand to initiate me. Thinking that I had already been initiated, I hesitated. Somehow, to fulfill his desire I extended my hand and he put his hand on mine and did what is done at the time of initiation. At that time I realized that some very high point had been awakened; and this condition prevailed for many days”.

As Babuji addressed his Journal to Lalaji, his (supposed) Master, does this not indicate that Babuji, in his dream, was intitiated by "another saint" who was seated beside Lalaji and Lalaji was "seated to the left" ?? (and Babuji does not seem to know "what is done at the time of initiation" (or does not want to tell?? But Dinaysh knows and tells ... is it a secret or not?) Which Saint initiated Babuji in his dreams? Babuji often dreamed of the Prophet and other Muslim saints, was it the Prophet, Muhammed (peace be upon him) or Hazrat Baqibillah Barong Saahib Rahamat Ullah Alahi? (see below)

Another extract from Rev. Baabuji’s diary (soon after the physical demise of his Spiritual Master) - … “There was excessive restlessness, and the eyes were closed, when I felt all of a sudden that the image of the Master existed in every particle of the body. There was not even a particle in which the Guru was not present”. The Publisher of the book ‘Thus speaks Shri Ram Chandra (Baabuji)’ has interpreted- “It was on 14^th August 1931 that his Guru entered Mahaa Samaadhi and on 15^th he felt that his Guru had transmitted him every thing of His. It was a state of complete mergence of His Guru”.

Dr. Mohammad Hanif, in his work, under the title, “Naqushbandia System of Sufism” (Ph.D. awarded by Agra University in the year 1964), has given description of Zikr-e-Rabitah in his Thesis.” The Saalik (Abhyasi), either imagines or gazes the face of his Master and in due course of time he gets absorption in the personality of the teacher, i.e. dissolving of his own personal characteristics and accrues characteristics of his teacher. Attention of the teacher is necessary, without which all efforts and the exercises are useless. The one solitary look or glance of the teacher is far better than all the prayers performed during once whole life”.

It is evident from the book, “The Autobiography of Ram Chandra” (Baabuji), Vol. I (1899-1932) published by Publication Department, Sri Ram Chandra Mission, Shahajahanpur, U.P., 242001, India (Third Edition : 1993), on its page, 14, chapter III, Rev. Baabuji has written ”As mentioned before, I reached the feet of the Master on 3^rd June 1922 to receive Transmission from him for the first time. I started meditation not on Divine light as is prescribed in the Sri Ram Chandra Mission, but on my Master’s form seeing him in my heart. This was quite spontaneous and automatic, and went on with it”.

Apart from the above he further "I sincerely took up the method of meditation after I passed the S.S.L.C. and Matriculation examination. Within six months, I saw in meditation that the whole of my heart filled with soothing light, and a plant full of light was emitting light from all its branches and leaves. I continued practice. Six months later, I noticed a peculiar thing in my heart that my heart was reciting the word ‘Om’. This we call Ajapa. How does it start? If the Master infuses His Divine power, it starts immediately".

However, “Sahajmarg” is entirely different from the teachings of Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj. It seems to be Rev. Baabuji’s own creation. This is evident from the book-“Practice of Sahajmarg”, written by Hon. P.Rajagopalachari, at its Page No. 3. “Meditation means to think continuously about one thing, and we are supposed to take as the object of meditation that which we wish to achieve. Moreover, here because we are involved in realization, God realization, self-realization, there fore the object has an abstract goal, called the ultimate self. Therefore, we cannot have any name or form for meditation. Nor can we have any qualities or attributes of Divinity. How ever, Master felt that for most people it would be impossible to meditate on the abstract. So, in Sahajmarg, our master has taken as the object of meditation, what He thought, what he knows, what he has experienced to be subtlest thing that we can have for meditation without making it gross or with a form or with a name, and that is Divine light in the heart. Therefore, this has to be very clearly understood that in Sahajmarg, the object of meditation is Divine light in the heart and nothing else. As I already told you, meditation means to think continuously of the same thing. What we do is to sit comfortably with our eyes closed, and have the thought that our heart is filled with Divine light,”

The act of supposition is directly concerned with the ‘Mind’ i.e., the seat of consciousness. It is rather impossible to suppose about a particular thing or condition about which, one is not intelligible to him or one is well conversant with it. While describing the practice of Sahajmarg meditation they stress on “Divine light” only. It appears to be the synonymic of “Tajalli” in the Dictionary of Sufism, which means; the illumination of Zaat (The Reality). “The Reality” as such is darkness. There are two extremes of the spectrum of light, which ends in darkness. Darkness is light in reality, which the retina of the light is incapable of appreciating. Maulana Rumi says in his Masnawi- “Tajalli, if you say, is the light of Zaat (The Reality) within darkness lays the fountain of eternal life”. In terms of Sufism, God appears to the devotee in the form, most eagerly sought for, by him. Hazrat Musa was in search of fire in a desert on his way back to Egypt; God therefore appeared to him in a “burning bush”. If one seeks Him in a image, the image appears to fulfill his desires; thus there should be no disappointment even in idol worship or “Zikr-e-Rabitah”. In his own case of Rev. Baabuji (Mahatma Ram Chandra Ji) of Shahjahanpur (U.P.) he started meditating on his “Master’s form, seeing Him (Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj) in his heart, but he (Baabuji) recommended for the people joining Shri Ram Chandra Mission, to do the same on “Divine Light”. What is “Divine Light”? He did not explain about it, anywhere. Perhaps, it may be within the meaning of “Hranyagarbha”, the conception of which has been given by the Vedic-age Hrishies (sages). Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj has once described, in a letter to some of his disciple, about a practice called- “Zikr-e-Nasira” and “Mahemuda”. In short, it is converging both the eyes on the tip of the nose, and then gradually carrying the point of convergence up to the middle of eyebrows. In Hindus, the point called the third eye of Lord Shiva. When the exercitant (Abhyasi) reaches to the perfection, he sees a star (called Suvaida or Praatibh) in the dark recesses of his heart. In reality, this is the star which can be called the “Divine Light” or “reality at dawn”.

Before proceeding further, I interrupt the flow of subject in the run, let me unveil another fact that Rev. Baabuji, except once, as mentioned above, took the transmission from his Guru through out his life time and rest of his spiritual training done during the “dreams”, i.e. during his sleeping state. Subsequently he began to record them and forward the same to Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj who used to reply him precisely giving some instructions to follow up. However, at many occasions he did not obey his instructions.

This is evident from a letter written by Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, dated 12^th Februrary, 1931, published in the book written by him titled- “Truth Eternal”.

“Your letter received. Dear Raghubar Dayal Ji and I had gone to Orai. We have returned yesterday. The conditions you have written about all merit thanks giving. This is the blessing of the condition of Fana (is the non- cognizance of one’s attributes as one’s own ;) after which if God willing, the Blessing of the condition of Baqa (is the recognition of the same as the attribute of God) will be granted to you from the same Shrine. As is the stage and condition of Fana, in the same proportion, the condition of Baqa is liable to bestow. What can be written about the interpretation of the dreams? Our aim is to get the result. I have understood well the symbols and considered enough. I have saved the time by reading much in details. Rest is all well. I will be in Mainpuri from the 15 to the 17 February. From there, I have to go to Etah where there will be a meeting from 20^th to 22 February.”

Note: - The above-mentioned letter of Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj addressed to Rev. Baabuji in response to his covering letter along with the date wise dreams seen during the month of January 1931. Hint about the August Shrine, which Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj had given in his letter was for Hazrat Baqibillah Barong Saahib Rahamat Ullah Alahi. The situation of the Shrine is at Qutub Road near Ieedgaah of Nabi Karim, Delhi.

However, he (Baabuji) never went there physically. In his diary dated July 26, 1931, he writes- “Dreamt that I went into meditation, and I was at the shrine of a Saint Baaqi Billah and was doing meditation, when a condition of intense emotion prevailed over me and a faint cry came out of my mouth. Again I submit that the points which have awakened these days have unlimited purity, delicacy and subtlety, but slight weakness is felt at that point. Really, ascent in this condition is impossible without satsang, and grace of the Guru. This point is so delicate and light that it can not be expressed”.

It is not only Rev. Baabuji of Shahjahanpur (UP), who was the disciple without accepting formally initiating by his Spiritual Master, but there are more such examples like Kabir and Eklavye. However, there motto was not to capture the ‘Seat’ of their respective Masters.

What made Baabuji to teach the people , he himself did? What was the necessity of introduction of a new hierarchy of “Sahajmarg”, naming H.H. Mahatma Ramchandra Ji (Laalaaji) Maharaaj its “Aadi Guru?” Why Shri P. Rajagopalachari, the President S.R.C.M., WHQ Chennai writes, “My Master always strongly maintained that Laalaaji Maharaaj had no Guru.”

Some confused and so-called Masters of wisdom or the self-declared Masters, propagate that Mahatma Ramchandra Ji (Laalaaji) Maharaaj of Fatehgarh (UP) India was a discernment of Mohammedan- Sufi. Whereas the truth is that, they understood neither Islam nor the Hinduism and to avoid the quest, they use to say, “Laalaaji had no Guru (Spiritual trainer)”. The root cause of all these manipulations is their religious narrow mindedness.

A letter dated 09.12.1930, written by Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, addressed to Shri Madan Mohan Laal, who was then the center-in-charge of Shahjahanpur, is meaningful in this context. “… Because of your transfer from Shahjahanpur, there is a likelihood of the function being spoiled. So on my own behalf and on that of my elders, I invite the attention of Br. Pandit Rameshwar Prasad to agree to take up this work in hand during your absence. May God give him courage and perseverance. That dear one will, perhaps, establish a condition of honor after casting off that small portion of boyhood, which is very negligible in him now, due to the demands of his age. God may help him. Brother Ram Chandra undoubtedly has ability and agility in this respect, but I am sorry that due to restrictions of his father, narrowness of heart and space, and intricacies of his home, my sagacity did not permit me for the time being to throw the responsibility on him. …”

The theory of Emanation is a discussion of the origin of things. It forms the province of Greater Mysteries; the other province called Lesser Mysteries is related to the mystical side of Sufism. The material superstructure of Sufism has a Neo-Platonic basis; the mystical side, the Lesser Mysteries, is an original attempt at the elucidation of the mysteries of life and is purely Islamic in origin.

Mr. E.G. Browne says, Ibnul-Farid, like Muhiyyuddin ibn ‘Arabi had no connection with Persia and so Dhun-nun Misri; and hence Sufism is not a manifestation of Persian or Aryan thought. Too many of those who have worked on Sufism have treated it as an essentially Aryan movement.

Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj has observed at many places in his writings-

“So long as one’s individual light stays behind, the reflected image of name and form will survive. However, an image is after all images. The present personality is certainly an embodiment of some other personality, who had existed earlier. If somebody could imagine himself as the embodiment of his father and the father being, again an embodiment of his grandfather and so on. And, thus slipping into the past up to such an extent that he starts feeling that the same image is ending and that he understands the extremity of a link by witch it is attached to the trunk and nothing else, then it may be possible that such point is ultimately his point of origin.”

“O God! This devoted follower has also undergone through many lives as different personalities and embodiments of other ones and has ultimately reached to a level of a selfless form of an image of truth. I am trying to live according to your hopes and expectations and am trying to carry out my responsibilities well. You are the knower of every heart. So I leave it up to you judge as to how capable your devout is in fulfilling his role and how true is the role played by him and how otherwise it is. If he is the image of any one, at what level of truth is he in. I firmly believe that you, with your benevolence and mercy have taken care of this body from the day it came on to this world and spread the first ray of light of truth even when I was in my devoted mother’s lap. I had the good fortune of being in the warmth of that divine light for seven years of my life.”

By emphasizing on the above (just before in bold letters) he wants to throw light on two most quoted terms in Sufism, i.e. ‘Fana’ and ‘Baqa’. Fana means to consider one’s self as existing in the form of his Spiritual Master; and annihilate his own self in Him. In Fana, the Abhyasi looses consciousness of himself; hence, here is the scarcity of cognition and not the cognition of scarcity. With the Sufi Fana is the non- cognizance of one’s attributes as one’s own; and Baqa is the recognition of the same as the attribute of God. In other words, so long as you are present in your own sight, God disappears, and when He is present in your sight, you disappear. For example, when you are concentrated on words, you lose sight of ink, and when you are concentrated on ink, you lose sight of words.

Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj often used to recite a couplet of Maulaanaa Jalaluddin Rumi, which means, “Close your lips, close your eyes and close your ears. Laugh at me, if you do not see the secret of the Truth”. This relates to a Grate Saint and a Philosopher named who had prescribed a five years’ course of silence on his disciples, before they were admitted to his mystic path. The word mystic is derived from mu, to close. The secret rites and lessons of the Greek mysteries were things about which the mouth was kept shut. According to Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, purification, devotion and dedication are the three main stages for realization. Repentance, abstinence, renunciation, voluntary poverty and trust in God are the methods of purification. He often used to say that to welcome voluntarily the Illat (sickness), Quillat (poverty) and Zillat (insult), are the three signs of progress in this Holy Path. These three ‘benedictions’ of Rev. Laalaaji Maharaaj, are confined within the four walls of ‘Laalaaji Nilayam’ only, which is His abode of religious fraternity, where He lived for more then two decades and presently where His grandson and his small family lives with simplicity and austerity of which He was epitome and He Himself lived a very hard life.

This is without any prejudice and with all apologies, from all those, who so ever they may be. This also disposes of all the queries about the subject, of numerous kinds, sent through any source, treating ‘Laalaaji Nilayam’ of Fatehgarh (UP), India as a nucleus of The Ramchandra School of Spirituality. This concludes with so many thanks to all those who, whether they praise or abuse me.

Lalaji, His Family & Their Followers

Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh Lalaji (4/02/1873- (14/08/1931) met his Master Hujur in 1891 and spent 16 years in his company. Hujur gave him full powers on October 11, 1896 but Lalaji didn't start teaching until 1911, his grandson tells us. His works are compiled in two volumes called: "The Complete Works of Ram Chandra Maharaj Lalaji. The second volume, published in July 2001 and printed in 7,000 copies, concerns his Sufi and Santmat experiences. Fascinating but virtually untraceable, would the subject be taboo at the SRCM? (SRCM (Shahjahanpur) and SRCM (California-1997)

The list of movements formed around his teaching is fairly long. His grandson (Dinaysh) lists five: NaqshMuMra, Ramashram Satsang, Akhil Bhartiya Santmat Satsang, Golden Sufi Center and of course the Sahaj Marg. To this list we can also add the group of Saral Hari Marg Harnarayan of Dr Saxena (1908-2003) or Dr. Chandra Gupta, who also claims the legacy of Lalaji. Their relationship with the Sahaj Marg is indirect, only because Babuji said that it was Lalaji who gave the order to create this movement.

Lalaji had one hundred to two hundred followers. Among those who have reached the central region or have approached the closest, from the spiritual point of view, some of them have circulated his teaching in the current of Ramashram Satsang, mainly in northern India, Sikandrabad, Gazhiabad, Shyam Nagar, Jaipur or even in Mathura. Deriving from Lalaji their power is rooted in the Naqshbandiya Sufi order, but he later re-integrated the Santmat (or bhaktimat) current.

Thus, the disciple of Lalaji, Ranajit Saheb, operated from Shyam Nagar and Thakur Ram Singhji (1898-1971), who also frequented the nephew of Lalaji (Radha Mohan), operated from Jaipur. Dr Chaturbhuj (3/11/1883-24/09/1957), the most famous of them was initially charged by Lalaji to help spread his teaching in 1919, from Etah in 1923 and then to Mathura in 1951. Dr Krishna Lalji (15/10/1894-18/05/1970) from Sikandrabad, according to him, was in turn appointed by Lalaji as his successor in 1921. We note in passing that Babuji had attended the Ramashram Satsangh of Mathura and of Sikandrabad between 1931 and 1944, where he probably created competitors and enemies.

Today, the Ramashram Satsang of Jaipur is headed by the son of Thakur Ram Singhji, Narayan Singh, who has chosen to use the method of the great Yogi Aurobindo. The Ramashram Satsang of Mathura is headed by the son of Dr. Chaturbhuj, Hemendra Kumar. It is then this site that has been on the Web for a long time. The father of Lalaji, Harbaksh Rai Chaudhary, had a second son who was equally famous. Raghubal Dayal Chachaji (7/10/1875-7/06/1947) has also followed the teaching of Sufi Master Hujur. His family is located in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) where he had three son: Brij Mohanlal Dadaji (1898-1955), Radha Mohanlal Guruji (? - 1966) and Jyotendra Mohanlal. Brij Mohan was the favorite of Hujur, who saw him as Lalaji's successor as the head of the Sufi Brotherhood of Mazhariya, even if eventually, Lalaji preferred his own son.

A disciple of Brij Mohan, Yashpal (5/12/1918-3/04/2000), created the movement Akhil Bhartiya Santmat Satsang in 1969 at Anangpur (ABSS on www.abssatsang.org). For his part, Radha Mohan is at the creation of the Golden Sufi Center in California with Irina Tweedie and Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee (http://www.goldensufi.org/). Radha Mohan is the 35th in the lineage of this Sufi Order. With his wife Sushila Devi, they had three son, Virendra, Satendra and "Baboo" Narendra Nath Saxena. She named her 2nd son Satendra to succeed his father.

As for Lalaji, he had two sons and eight daughters. His eldest son, Harish Chandra, died at two or three months. Only the second, Jagmohan Narain (2/11/01-28/08/44) is known to us, Lalaji having preferred his nephew Brij Mohan for his successor to head the new order of Mazhariya Ramchandriya (NaqshMuMRa). Too young to succeed him immediately, it was his uncle Chachaji who took the reins of NaqshMuMRa before him. Jagmohan himself had two son, Akilesh (28/06/41-15/05/74) and Dinaysh or Dinesh Kumar Saxena (born 28/10/44), who in turn succeeded one another in the order of NaqshMuMRa. Akilesh Kumar was not three years old at the death of his father and died before 33 years of age, but this did not prevent him from creating a periodical entitled "adhyaatma dhaara.

Dinaysh Kumar Saxena, a railway employee, retired since 2002 and who is soon to be 65 years old, is the present Master of NaqshMuMRa and is still residing at Fatehgarh. With his son, Himanshu Vikram, he created "NaqshMuMRa Nexus", a website where he mentions the movements that he believes are related to the teaching of his grandfather (http://www.laalaajinilayam.googlepages. com /). Included in this list is Sahaj Marg, the same way as Dinaysh is listed as preceptor of Sahaj Marg. And a blog created by Himanshu Vikram shows us pictures of Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari and Dinaysh gathered together in 2006 (http://www.laalaajinilayam.blogspot.com/).

On a website created last February 26, 2009 (http://www.adhyaatmadhaaraa.org/) Dinaysh tells us that he has created a charitable organization, the Laalaaji Nilayam Charitable Trust (LNCT). Its goal is to raise funds to rehabilitate the "holy places" that have marked the life of Lalaji and organize tourism pilgrimages. It is therefore planned to renovate the house of Lalaji (laalaaji Nilayam) and to increase its receiving capacity, to erect a life-size statue of Lalaji and to acquire many other places of worship.

As much as the previous movements seem to have no direct link to Sahaj Marg, as much the collusion between the grandson of Lalaji and Rajagopalachari is great. And Dinaysh makes it clear that this is the Shri Ram Chandra Mission Manapakkam (Chennai) and not that of Shahjahanpur (Babuji's family). The link is established between Dinaysh and Rajagopalachari, and in no case with the descendants of Babuji, Umesh Kumar and Navneet Saxena, who he ignores.

Yet in 2009, Dinaysh publishes a letter by Babuji dated February 14, 1963 where it clearly expresses his feeling that the Indian Sufism is completely obsolete and replaced by the Sahaj Marg. This is one way to highlight the division imposed by Babuji between the movements from Lalaji and his Sahaj Marg. So what is the connection between Rajagopalachari and Dinaysh? For what purpose did he deliberately chose to publish this letter? (see Dinaysh's "Epitome for Sahaj Marg" next on this blog)

And who will tomorrow be at the head of NaqshMuMRa and Laalaaji Nilayam Charitable Trust (LNCT)? Apparently, the descendants of the brother of Lalaji are "a priori" excluded. Then, on the basis of blood ties established by Lalaji, will it be the son of Akilesh, Vinay (born 17/07/65) or Samir Kumar (born 30/07/70)? Or will it resort to the son of Dinaysh, Himanshu Vikram (born 30/06/80), or one of his two sisters, although are women excluded "a priori"?

According Shashwat Pandey, who has interviewed him in 2009, Dinaysh would be in fear. His son, Himanshu Vikram, is working in Chennai for HTC Global Services, headed by a close associate of Rajagopalachari. (HTC Global Services is the management company for SRCM (California-1997) The Shri Ram Chandra Mission SRCM (California-1997) has probably invested funds in the LNCT for shares in the house and Lalaji Ashram at Fatehgarh. Has Dinaysh become a puppet in the hands of Rajagopalachari? However, in 2008, he asserted his independence before some old disciples of Babuji ... Finally, it is perhaps Rajagopalachari who wants possession of the official inheritance of Lalaji so that Sahaj Marg takes the lead at NaqshMuMRa.

At the small village of Dole, France, (in Western Jura, near Burgundy) where the European Headquarters for the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM) used to be before the atmosphere "soured" between the residents of the small village and the "Mission", and the SRCM moved it's European headquarters to Vrads Sande (castle) in Denmark. This conflict allegedly erupted because of the "cult-like obedience" to the Master demanded by Sahaj Marg, the interference of the MISSION in community politics, and the verbal attacks by the current Master on the traditional religions of the area (Christianity). That "soured atmosphere" allegedly culminated with the bussing in of "residents" at election time, threatening and attempting to change the mayor (also the banker) of the small village, and not adhering to community development plans in the "expansion" of their Augerans Castle (that was previously owned by the Peugeot (automobiles) Corporation), and offers to take over the "education" of the village children. Austerity or expansion?

October 2008, the SRCM (California-1997) Center in Chicago acquires a new home. April 2009, Chari gives the "go ahead" for a new ashram in New Jersey. July opening of the Sahaj Marg Center in Cleveland and the green light Chari on the resumption of the expansion of North American Ashrams.

Obviously, the financial austerity introduced by Chari less than a year knows some sprains. If your plans are still blocked, be aware that this is not the same for everyone. Some have more luck than others! Unless the windfall caused by the sale of Whispers No. 2 has unlocked everything. The austerity in SRCM, would it already be a distant memory?

Molena Ashram is the headquarters of the SRCM USA (80 miles south of Atlanta, GA), it covers 13 hectares (32 acres). Its extension was already scheduled for September 2008 speech before Chari's austerity speech from Dubai. The Expansion Committee included 2 work phases. The first was to begin in October 2008 and end in April 30, 2009. It involved the creation of a 2nd extra wing with a meditation hall of nearly 300 m² (3000 sq ft), an extension to the dining hall, bedrooms and toilets and a new cottage. The second phase was to create a large meditation hall outside, instead of the tent which hosted large gatherings.

All this was blocked in late 2008!

This was not the only project, the extension of the ashram at Sunderland-Pioneer Valley (MA) was also in the cards, as well as the acquisition of a center for New Jersey and the purchase of land in California. Remember that each ashram is managed by a Management Committee (AMC) and the Beavercreek, Dayton (OH) did not seem to have any special needs.

In addition to its 3 ashrams, North America had available on a full-time basis localities (rented or owned) for the 3 Canadian Centers Toronto, Vancouver and Nelson. Thus, since July 2006, the Toronto Center rents a room for 60 to 90 people who come to meditate for about 1,500 € (2,300 USD), rent fully supported by one hundred active abhyasis since local groups have to bear the all of their expenses. Previously, an alderman had lent them a room for free since July 2004, as the SRCM is a "non-profit organization".

All projects were blocked ... except October 5th, 2008, the Chicago Center (IL) became the purchaser of a locality of more than 200 m² (2400 sq ft) in Warrenville for a group of about 60 abhyasis and approximately 15 children.

In April 2009, Chari gave permission for the future acquisition of premises near the Center in Cranbury, New Jersey. On July 5, 2009, the Cleveland Center (OH) held the first satsangh in its new location, bringing to 5 the number of North American locals, held full-time by the SRCM. The Center held a regional gathering from 11 to 13 September to inaugurate its new building. This is one of the two historical centers opened by Babuji in the United States in 1972, along with Stonington, Massachusetts.

Also in July, Chari has given permission to begin the first phase of work in Molena. The search for land to expand the area of the Sunderland ashram was re-started. Indeed, the Ashram serves both abhyasis in the northern United States than those in southern Canada. A fundraising campaign for the ashrams started in September.

Cranbury is not that a proposal for the acquisition of a simple room, it's actually a project for an ashram for New Jersey, 80 miles southeast of Manhattan. The building permit should be obtained in late September early October, before the final purchase. This is an area of one hectare (2.7 acres) in Middlesex County in Monroe. It could accommodate 150 people, with parking for 50 vehicles, a kitchen, storage room and a cottage for the keeper. The launch is already planned for late winter.

In short, for the SRCM (California-1997), North American ashrams owned 3 and 3 centers before the permanent austerity speech of Chari a year ago. It already has 5 centers, and soon 4 ashrams, and expansion projects are underway in two of them.

That's austerity !

Whispers from the Brighter World has brought to light aspects of our spiritual practice that heretofore were hidden to us. (It was just made up by the "anonymous French Lady Medium") One of these aspects is the concept of an égrégore. This term is defined in Whispers from the Brighter World, Vol. 1:

An égrégore is a kind of group mind (a kind of ?? See Frank's - ex SRCM's zonal-in-charge for the Netherlands analysis of "Groupthink" at Sahaj Marg.) which is created (How is it created? Magically? or "through a command from a "leader"? When does the "egregore" become "autonomous"?) when people consciously come together for a common purpose. (What is the real purpose of the Chari Clan? (Spiritualism? Nationalism? Business?). The leadership of SRCM (California-1997) who will attempt to control the "autonomous" egregore, are now in court with Babuji's family for control of the MISSION. Will your "egregore" unite them? NO! So far, Chari's "egregore" has done nothing but "divide".) Therefore it has the characteristic of having an effectiveness greater than the mere sum of its individual members. (That effect can be for "good or bad" or "positive or negative" for the group, or for their families, their friends, the so-called "enemies of spirituality" (according to Chari), or society at large. Look at the examples of other religions who have used egregores (or "archangels") in history, and the atrocities committed by normally "sane" people, under the control of such "autonomous" egregores. Research it!! Before you un-wittingly set the egregore loose on your "friends, family, and your children".) It can also refer to the psychic and astral entity of a group. (Tell the truth! Or do your research more deeply! An egregore is an "autonomous" psychic entity!! You will not "control it". Study crowds or mobs in a "protest" and historical events such as crusades, revolutions, terrorism (9-11), wars, sports, hunts (animal, human), etc... and see the "autonomous" aspects of egregores or "groupthink", and the "good or bad" that is created by such "egregores" or "groupthink".

Whatever happened to: "At Sahaj Marg we seek only the ULTIMATE?" Are you now seeking the "lowest common denominator" of GROUPTHINK, the collective mind of all and anyone who joins your group for any and all reasons and purposes? What is your experience with "egregores"? What is your experience in filtering out "deviants" and/or "manipulators" of people, who now use Sahaj Marg, and other neo-religions, as their "market", with all kinds of other "therapies" for sale, such as astrology, psycho-genealogy, numerology, Emotional Free Therapy (EFT), etc.)

Prior to the release of this book, we all certainly felt the benefit of being together at gatherings of abhyasis. (marketing to the "mob" mentality makes the "crowd" easier to control. Are abhyasis now into "sensuality", or the "feeling the benefit" of events (any event), and not the ULTIMATE?) Now, as I read Babuji’s message (below), (the message is, in reality, from an un-professional, "anonymous French Lady Medium" who claims to channel messages from the deceased Spirit of Babuji and other un-named SPIRITS of the deceased.

We should now see "egregores" in the explanation and in the "promotional material" that states what Sahaj Marg really is. Will we? Will the preceptors now tell the new recruits about "egregores"... before they become "involved"?) I feel that he is telling us more about the extent or the reality, on a spiritual level that such a group can have. (Sahaj marg is not seeking the ULTIMATE anymore, but is now into the POWERS and the "Principalities". It is now just a RELIGION!! Same old, same old! (story)... Not as Babuji wanted for his "mission".

"Oh! the Bliss!!" , "Whee! we all belong to an autonomous egregore, and obey an "anomymous French lady medium" who writes our BIBLE. or ... "No "stupid freedom" in Sahaj Marg!! ") Personally, I am encouraged that such a bond ("autonomous") does exist between us and furthermore that its effectiveness extends beyond the mere physical limits that we can only perceive as humans. (Does it extend to the MIND or to the SPIRIT? Will you now as a group, attack the "temples, churches, ashrams" of other religions or "spiritual groups", as was allegedly recently done by your group (SRCM (California-1997) at the Babuji Memorial Ashram? Will your egregore, being autonomous, control your actions as it does the members of other "religious groups". Will you be "free" with (as Chari says), your "stupid freedom", to say NO!!, and stand "alone" as a true "spiritual" seeker, or commit the atrocity with the GROUP under the control of an autonomous "egregore" or groupthink.

Now wait and see what your egregore does with the rebellion of "youth", or the disrespect of the "misfit", and wait and see how it attacks and destroys the dreams of the "un-co-operative" mate, in assistance with the unwitting abhyasis, under the guise of "cleaning" the desires of their "mate". To destroy the communal dreams of a couple or a family, is to destroy the "relationship". How will you protect the dreams, the hopes, the desires of your mate, your family, friends, and their children from your autonomous "egregore"? How will you stop the greedy, the deviant, the ruthless, the violent, in the "GROUP" from effecting the "egregore"?)

Therefore when we come together, we not only strengthen ourselves, we strengthen others (in our group and outside) and we strengthen our spiritual path in the context of the world, letting God’s love radiate out (That is not true. Under the control of an autonomous egregore, you will do as the GROUP does and that historically has been "tragic".) This October’s gathering at our Molena Ashram is our next opportunity to strengthen this. (does that not sound "naive" and a little "dishonest" ? or SPIRITUALIST... giving yourself over to an "autonomous psychic entity", an "egregore", under the name of "Raja Yoga" or SPIRITUALITY? Even the Catholics don't do that anymore, because we (the people) removed that POWER from the pyramidal Vatican in the 12th Century, thanks to enlightened people like Thomas Aquinas (1225-74), Roger Bacon, and Rene Descartes, and later, thanks to the Protestant Reformers (Martin Luther (1483-1546 and John Calvin (1509-64) et al . Sahaj Marg is a loop back to the Dark Ages of Magic and Spiritualism before the Age of REASON.)

A specific force emanates from these days, which man cannot assess. (We, "man", can assess these "forces", but you don't seem to be able to, and hence you seek the drowsy navel-gazing safety of a GROUP-think (egregores are of the "mind" as is hypnosis, and half-sleep or day-dreaming state).

It seems that some habituated abhyasis prefer a spiritualist "opiate" state, and would desert their family and friends, the poor, their own social environment, as well as the "green environment" of their area, as well as the ideals of their national egregore: their "stupid freedom" as your Master calls your "freedom". (not his) ). As any participants, he benefits from it, but this fact goes well beyond by developing our Mission égrégore. (autonomous!! The benefits will be for the "egregore" or the "leader" who tries to "control" the GROUP. NOT for Society or Mankind. DO you want all other religions to start using "egregores" (archangels) again and wage "holy wars"? ... As Freud would say: "The MONSTER is of the ID.") These days, which bring our brothers closer surge of heart, have an incomparable positive impact. (Or negative! The Egregore is "autonomous"!! The use of "egregores" is called SPIRITUALISM ... not SPIRITUALITY! Who Dares oppose the EGREGORE?? Who in Sahaj Marg is still FREE to oppose the Master? Who will defend our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters from the Sahaj Marg "gay bashing" Egregore? Who will protect the children from the "egregoric manipulation" of deviants from within the "sisters and brothers" of the group? How will infiltrators with "different purposes" (selling or promoting "alternative therapies") be kept out of the "egregore" or the "groupthink"? If many in the GROUP (including the Founder and family members) are emotional, depressed, suicidal, will the "groupthink" or the egregore make others emotionally ill? Are the emotional states also "transmitted" by the SYSTEM of Sahaj Marg? How many diagnosis of "mental illness" in Sahaj Marg? Could it be systemic? The "EGREGORE" or the GROUPTHINK?

When one has an egregore, one has "rituals". One is to pray for "favourable egregore", as decreed by Chari. Now you have prayers for a "favourable egregore" and a prayer for "peace" even though the FOUNDER of Sahaj Marg stated explicitly that Sahaj Marg is not to obtain PEACE.

Since the population of the globe is reaching "cancerous" rate and that "India and China" is responsible for almost one half of that. One can take a lesson from the Catholics of the 1950's, (the beginning of the INFORMATION AGE for the masses) who, after having been "decreed" by the POPE to not use "artificial birth control" , but to only use the "rhythm method, said: "NO" ... and that was the end of the Vatican' s control of the masses through their "egregore". No more "breeding for the sake of the RELIGION" so as to increase the "numbers" by arranging marriages, and getting the "adherents" to BREED ... as with Sahaj Marg ! When will Sahaj Marg Become "environmentally (planetary) conscious" and limit their "cancerous growth" in other countries? We don't need more "BREEDERS" here!!

Excerpts from Institute of Sri Ramchandra Consciousness (ISRC), The Story of Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur). Which story is true, ISRC or SRCM (California - 1997)). It seems that the Chari version of "history" (or "his story") is a "whitewash", a "cleaning" or a fabrication and a manipulation of the true HISTORY of SRCM, and their "lineage". It is not in agreement with Lalaji's legitimate lineage, nor is it in agreement with the other "schisms" of the SRCM itself (ISRC, and the SRCM (Shahjahanpur) of Babuji's Family)

Babuji seems to have dabbled in "mesmerism" (hypnotism)!!

During his school days he had a friend who with mesmerism used to treat people suffering from diseases. He started thinking about this process and came to the basic point that it is concentration and movement of energy for some work pregnant with that thought. Some time later a relative of his also claimed himself to be a mesmerist. But he did not want to teach Sri Ramchandra unless he did some personal service as per the old ways generally adopted by gurus.

Babuji Seems to have dabbled in "faith healing" (or mesmerism, hypnotism)

During that period Sri Idris Ahmed, the Head Master of Govt. High School, Shahjahanpur where he was studying suffered from severe pain of colic. He was totally restless and groaning due to pain and requested Sri Ramchandraji to help him if he can. He caught hold of his thumbs with his hands putting his thumb over his and passed the suggestion that "you are alright now" for a minute. The head master felt relief from pain immediately and he went to sleep. Thereafter the head master referred all the cases of suffering students in the school to him for relief that they were getting. Such was his will even by then.

Baubji (and his wife) seems to have been "short tempered"!

He was married at the age of 19 (1918) at Mathura the birthplace of Lord Sri Krishna. His wife Smt. Bhagwati, however, was short tempered. But his attitude to accept every thing as a divine gift enabled him who is also equally short tempered to tone down his irritable nature and learned tolerance in her company. This helped him enormously in his spiritual life.

Mean while his married life was one of constant irritation to him. His wife who was short tempered was worsening his short temper. He reported the matter to his Master who asked whether he was losing senses while being angry. He observed that while the ill temper continued and while he was angry many times, never did the rage made him lose control over the senses. This Master told him that senses do not have any control over him and he has moderated them to the required extent.

Baubji seems to have contemplated "suicide" over a work place incident:

He felt so bad that he even told his respected father that he would resign from the office or else commit suicide. His father told him to resign immediately if he felt so. However, he continued the service and with the help of the Munsif was able to learn the work fast in a few months and was comfortable. Despite this attitude of his colleague which had driven him to such an extent as to make him think of suicide also, his treatment towards him was as cordial as ever.

Early family intrigues in Babuji' s Family Life:

After his father's demise one of his uncles distantly related wanted to be in-charge of the management of his estate, so that he may have a chance of deriving all possible advantage by fair or foul means. He and his brother did not agree and thus the uncle became an opponent. For years together he remained so, creating difficulties to Sri Ramchandraji at every step by underhand means till his death in 1956. He went on with his activities setting up causes for worry, harassment and loss to him. He provoked persons against the Master and tried to drag him to court on many issues. He even resorted to gangsterism in order to harm him in every possible way. Though Master had means and resources to pay his uncle in his own coin, he bore everything patiently and calmly remaining ever on the defensive side with no intention to retaliate. These things should have made any one feel miserable at the loss. But the spiritual genius in him withstood all these for the Divine work ahead, waiting for him.

This was much appreciated by Lord Krishna who blessed him and his family with spiritual and material prosperity for generations to come.

The descendants of Babuji and the SRCM of Shahjahanpur

Shri Ram Chandra of Shahjahanpur (Babuji 30/04/1899-19/04/1983) had five children, three boys named Prakash, Umesh Kumar and Sarvesh Saxena, and two girls named Smt Maya Indira and Smt Chaya Saxena.

4-d Don's comment: According to the breakaway Institute of Sri Ramchandra Consciousness (ISRC) of Narayana, Dr Varadachari's son. Dr K.C. Varadachari was Guru in-waiting and heir apparent of SRCM before Chari came on the scene. Dr. Varadachari died Jan. 31, 1971.)

"His (Babuji's) family life continued satisfactorily. He was blessed with 6 sons and 3 daughters. However 2 sons and one daughter died during infancy. His wife Smt. Babuji includes his young (elder) son Prakash in the list of the founding members of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, when he files its statutes in 1945. In 1980, Umesh goes on tour in the U.S. with two full preceptors of his father, Raghavendra Rao and Ramachandra Reddy, without any delegation of Babuji. On April 16, 1982, he (Babuji) secretly designates his son Umesh as his successorin a letter addressed to him. Yet, everyone agrees in claiming that the children of Babuji did not participate in the collective weekly meditations and have never shown any sign of interest in things spiritual until the early 1980's.

Babuji dies April 19, 1983. At the working committee which meets without delay, the following July, Prakash presents his own son, Sharad as successor to Babuji. This request was rejected by the committee which accepts, however, Umesh and his secret letter of nomination in February 1984. The family opens a legal battle against Rajagopalachari who also claims the succession, on the subject of the Presidency of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission and the properties that are attached.

They recall the statutes of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, which stipulate that its headquarters is in Shahjahanpur and the president inherits its position from the line of succession, which they translate as "blood line". They add that the purported letter of appointment of Rajagopalachari is a fake because it is backdated, and makes no reference to Lalaji, which Babuji never would have done, and the phrase "President of the Sahaj Marg system" which means nothing, and that the Canadian Donald Sabourin, the so-called witness to this appointment, could not have attended on that date.

Around 1984, the state of Uttar Pradesh introduces the legal requirement for the organizations declared as the Shri Ram Chandra Mission, to hold elections and elect their president. After the vote, SP Srivastava is elected. According to the son of Umesh Chandra Saxena, Srivastava was appointed chairman of the working committee and BD Mahajan, the secretary, so as to avoid an explosion of the movement, because of statements by Kasturi in favor of Rajagopalachari. The ashram undergoes a first failed attempt to a takeover by force in 1988, by the clan Rajagopalachari.

In 1994, Umesh Chandra is elected President in place of SP Srivastava, and KV Reddy becomes secretary of the Mission. In 1997, another attempt to take back the power from the ashram fails. Umesh is walking armed in the ashram. In 1998, one of his preceptors, who went to the United States to represent him, opens a website titled 'sahajmarg.org'. This gives rise to a another quarrel with the clan of Rajagopalachari. The American Arbitration Commission on domain names delivers an opinion in favor of the clan of Umesh in 2000, but the site was abandoned due to pressure from the clan of Rajagopalachari.

Umesh Chandra Saxena dies November 3, 2003. His son Navneet Kumar Saxena is appointed the next president, KV Reddy is confirmed in his post of secretary. The Rajagopalachari clan tries unsuccessfully to seize the ashram again, four days later, November 7. So, at once, no one is allowed to enter into the ashram easily, even under express recommendation. Until it was finally taken over April 2, 2006 by the Rajagopalachari clan, who places at its head Sarvesh, the brother of Umesh. The trial continues today, from appeal to appeal, but Navneet has decided to speak on the web also in January 2007, first on blogs and then by creating his own website 'srcmshahjahanpur.org'. This time, the Indian arbitration panel ruled in favor of Rajagopalachari clan, in July, 2007.

Today in late 2009, Prakash and Umesh have died. Prakash's wife attends satsanghs led by Kasturi in Lucknow. Sarvesh, who is on the list of preceptors of Rajagopalachari, opens the Ashram at Shahjahanpur to all those who wish to attend. Navneet's brother, Puneet and his mother have recorded their testimonies against the methods of the Rajagopalachari clan in videos shot by Shashwat Pandey. And we are still waiting for the outcome of the trial ...

There is one minor correction in this summary, K.V Reddy was made overseas secretory of the mission in 1980, and Chari was removed from the post of secretory of Indian affairs in 1982 and replaced by B.D Mahajan.

S.P Shrivastava now runs a parallel organization from Lakheempur Khiri, a small town near Lucknow, U.P. and refuses to give any interview on record.

First two points are relevant enough to be put in the summary.

The valley district in which Pithoragarh (population 41,157 - in 2001) is located, called "Little Kashmir", is the main town of a region that borders both Nepal and Tibet. (hence its geographical value to "nationalist" businessmen). Pithoragarh, till recently, was part of Almora district, in Uttar Pradesh. It was given the status of a separate district on February 1,1960.

This region as many other parts of the world will soon realize the "spiritual" as well as the survival value of "water". Tourism, even "spiritual tourism", does not "add" to the water supply!! Religious developers, don't pave our earthly Paradise, and don't develop in our Natural environment, more "God-seekers" portals to a man-made fantasy called the "Brighter World", destroying Nature as a "tribute" to the folly that comes from the fanatical MIND of the religious and their flawed theology. (ie... "God is MALE" and now, there are "portals" to get to the "Brighter World" where the faithful must "MEET", disregarding their "carbon footprint" and at great cost to the local environment)

Where once there was Nature, there is now the so-called "Natural Path" of the city businessmen, with its "un-natural" structure, and its un-natural spiritualism, that was originally called the "easy path" by the Founder in his Autobiography. The "quick and easy", and all "natural", MacDonald's fast food of Spirituality. The natural path comes into the "natural environment" and brings "numbers" of spiritual Tourists who will leave behind physical "garbage", intellectual corruption (their theology and philosophy), and their emotional mess (the divisions in the Mission and the dis-respect of other religions and other people: i.e. the bloggers), and not much SPIRITUALITY but a lot of SPRITUALISM for sale ... Please, build your Ashrams and your mythical dimensional "portals" in the cities, so you and your "fans" won't have to drive far, so as to "take off" on your imaginary communal trip to your fantasy Brighter World. Or is it imaginary? How cultish has Sahaj Marg become? How cultish will it become in the future, after Chari?? Learn to "disobey" now!! Your leadership is beginning to sound like some other apocalyptic "cults".

Those of us who isolate ourselves from the world of cities, and live in or near the natural "environment" (mountains) do not want the corrupt solutions of those gurus of religion and industry, who make such a mess of life on the outside, in the industrialized cities. Leave the simple folks and their "simple nature" in PEACE and take your crowds back to your industrialized "cities" ... Please don't build your Ashrams of absentee landlords, in our "natural" world as you leave behind only material, emotional and intellectual "garbage" and not much spiritual depth. (egregores, groupthink, becoming a "living dead", getting messages from the dead, court cases, violence, disrespect of other "religions", etc..) We don't need the tourism that will bring those crowds to our little towns in the name of being spiritual, natural and/or peaceful. They (crowds) are neither!! Crowds (numbers) create "problems"!! Water (shortage) and garbage (sewage, pollution, social and religious problems, etc) are just the most obvious to the "locals".

The so-called: Natural Path (Sahaj Marg) does not seem to be attuned with Nature and its "life-giving" as well as destructive force. First there was a flood in 2008, at their LMOIS (school) and at Babuji's Memorial Ashram (which Chari's group allegedly took violently from Babuji's family (see here with photos) and appeals for "Charity".)

He gives the message ("He" gives the message to an anonymous French lady Medium? I don't think so!! His (Babuji's) messages are in his books! These "whispers" appear to be made up by the MIND of the MEDIUM, not the SPIRIT. There is not enough "depth"! ). He gives the call. (myth, fantasy, spiritualism. There is no "call"!! Get REAL as in the "central region of" REALITY!! Is it not "dawn" yet? (pun on "REALITY at DAWN", a book by Babuji. Maybe we should change that to: "REALITY at DON!") And to make people come and assemble at one spot from where they can take off, ("take off", eh?? Give me a break!! How "cultish"!!) we create ashrams. (and churches, temples, rituals, fantasies, mysteries, etc... to entice or intimidate the "locals"?? Fear and temptation?? ) In a very real sense, it is the gateway into the brighter world. (not "real" at all... this is a story, an illusion from the "mind" of Chari) provided it is used properly." (and properly will be how Chari will make it up (on the spur of the moment), and tell (or sell) you later in a book, for a price!! The game is "selling books" and FEELINGS!! or "sensations" of being "insured or protected beyond the grave" ... hence Sahaj Marg, like all religions is into "sensuality". Religions offers a deal with the ONE (and/or the ALL) where one party, the ONE, has not agreed, and has certainly not "signed"). The contract or deal (beyond the grave) claimed by Sahaj Marg and SRCM (California-1997) (and Chari) is "useless"!! It would not even stand in the courts of mortal MEN, unless there was "corruption" ... The ONE does not play in the silly fantasies and the games of MEN, not even "capitalist nationalist businessmen", who can attract funding to build "structures" of Matter at a great cost to society and at a greater cost to the "environment" of the planet. For what? A gateway to the "Brighter World"?? Silly!! What are they hiding?? Every place is a "gateway" to "elsewhere"! Call it "Brighter" or not!

The Catholics and the Muslims and most religions do the same: they build hospitals, schools, and churches for marriages, funerals, and then for day-cares, retreats, etc... (for free of course ... NOT!!)

So let's see: When the abhyasis get the "message", and they get "the call", they will all go and "assemble" at the "door" and "take-off" to the "Brighter World"!!!

Now, if you believe that, please tell your REAL "friends and family", so they will know where you are going, and tell them why: so you can "take off" for the Brighter World!! Does this not begin to sound like the apocalyptic: "Heaven's Gate" cult and/or the empire-building: "Solar Temple" cult (see also here (wikipedia) ? It is not very Raja Yoga or any other "system" of meditation!! Sahaj Marg is sounding more like "SPIRITUALISM" and like most "Cults of Personalities" ;-O

Thus spoke our Master (Chari) when he inaugurated the Pithoragarh ashram on December 19, 2004. (see full speech) (see photos and see the water, sewerage potential problems.)

The ashram is situated at an altitude of 5400 feet (up-stream) in Pithoragarh district 150 kilometres north east of Satkhol ashram. Designed by Master himself, the ashram (does not) looks like a pearl in an oyster nestling among the sub-Himalayan hills with Nepal on the east and Tibet on the north. Besides the meditation hall that accommodates five hundred, there are also other facilities like Master's cottage, (another "cottage" for the Master!! Ah! the simple life at SRCM (California-1997). How many cottages does Chari now have? Are they used by the poor and the homeless when Chari is not there? Or are they left "empty"? Built with Chari-ty dollars? Charity for the Indian "well-to-do"! Chari is like a "POPE". Who will pay for all these Ashrams and cottages? One is reminded of Pope Leo X (1475-1521), who's extravaganzas (birthday parties) brought about the Protestant Reformation!! ), a kitchen and a room.

Pithoragarh will be a tribute to the folly of medieval (feudal) religious thinking that lingered until the 21st century, just before the "transformation" ... The Question begs: Why an Ashram THERE? That spot looked a lot more "Natural" before the Ashram!! And we could all visit it (a few at a time) any time we wanted. Now one has to be SAHAJ MARG to feel the man-made structures that are there, all designed by the MIND of MAN! In the name of, and for the sake of the name of ONE, Please Leave some of the Natural world "natural"... please!! As a species, we don't have to develop EVERY PLACE!! We can leave some "home" for other species! How about an ashram home for the "homeless"!!

Chari & SRCM (California-1997) Judges "Reconciliation"??

OPEN ESSAY to the Judging Committee of the United Nations International Year of Reconciliation (2009) regarding the annual Essay Competition of the "Annual All India Essay Writing Event" offered to youth in all schools in India to mark the International Day of Youth, August 12, 2009 .

Using the description of the desirable "essays" as presented by SRCM (California-1997) :

* Give Love Get Love
* Do unto others as you would have them do unto you
* Love has hope, Hatred is Hopeless,

and the "thoughts suggested" to the competitors by the SRCM (California-1997)

* How does peace and friendship in society benefit the individual?
* Can there be Irreconcilable differences if everyone accepted this?
* R. Ingersoll said: "Give to every other human being every right that you claim for yourself."
* What do you think? Can Love be a potent instrument of reconciliation?

I hereby present my essay (from French, meaning: "to try") ...

It seems to me that to be qualified to judge a competition on "reconciliation", the judging organization and/or the judging committee should have among its membership, some people with experience and/or qualities as "reconciliators". One that comes to mind is South Africa's Anglican Church Bishop, Desmond Tutu. I am sure that there are many others. When an organization uses violence and other un-ethical and immoral methods to achieve it's ends, that organism should not qualify to be a judge on "RECONCILIATION", unless the content of the essay is totally irrelevant, and what is being judged is: spelling, syntax, grammar, rhetoric, etc.

Here are some examples of lack of "reconciliation" at SRCM (California-1997) and by it's first Master, Chari:

In a speech to preceptors (priests) in 2001, Chari said:

"In the Indian scene, the Hindus and Hinduism is corrupt. God is personified as somebody who can be bribed with gifts, with so called prasads - offering temptation of Heaven which fact Babuji emphasized in His teachings, saying that religions depends on two instruments - temptation and fear.

I am afraid that Sahaj Marg is suffering in this way because even when Christian people become abhyasis and preceptors, they somehow, somewhere along the way seem to lose this idea of love, charity, compassion, faith and become preceptors. So what Spirituality offers and can deliver, our priesthood, I would categorize you as, say temporarily as priesthood - they destroy." (Speech, Preceptor's Seminar, Jan. 2001)

In the Value Based Spiritual Education (VBSE) curriculum taught at the SRCM (California-1997) school, Lalaji Memorial OMEGA International School (LMOIS):

There are five very important reasons, why we should get away from religious bondage –

a. It creates division among people.
b. Every religion talks of "one God" but states that only their God is the best.
c. It promotes disharmony, violence and wars.
d. The real meaning of the tenets is forgotten and only the rituals are adhered to.
e. Religions put fear and temptations into the hearts of the people.

All religions in the world say the same thing i.e. "seek within". But do they? The answer is NO. Then what is the way? Transcend religion and move towards spirituality.

...Religion enforces an externalization of the mind in man’s search for God. Religion requires belief and faith. Religion speaks of seeing God, speaking with God, hearing God’s voice, etc.

That is exactly what the evidence shows SRCM (California-1997)) is doing.

So what wonders can it do if this is on a global scale? That is why Sahaj Marg is performing marriages—no questions asked, except whether you are old enough to get married, and whether you are a man and a woman. Unlike the churches in the world, we don’t perform same-sex marriages. That is unnatural. God did not intend it to be thus. Please excuse me, it is a personal comment, it is not Sahaj Marg. But there are things, as Babuji Maharaj said, “If God did not want two sexes, he could have as well created one and seen that the world propagated by itself.” There are unicellular organisms called amoeba which just split when they want. No problems of sex, no problems of love and hate, no problems of, shall we say, illegitimate babies, no need for Viagra. You know, when it is big enough it just splits and there are two. “Behold, there was one and now there are two,” says the Lord. So God could have done anything he wanted, you see. Why two sexes? Not so that one sex should marry among themselves, isn’t it? So, what the church may allow, I don’t have to condone or accept. To me, it is a very blatant misuse of so-called privileges of the human being, fundamental rights, et cetera. Of course, if you claim it is your fundamental right to go the dogs, so be it! Even God cannot stop it. That is not His weakness; that is His strength that he gives us the liberty to do what we will.

It like a boxing father, heavyweight champion, allowing his pugnacious teenagers to pummel away at him. He just laughs, “Yeah, go on, son. Come on, one more.” And the pugnacious son thinks he is going to knock his father out and suddenly, wham, you know. The son is at the corner of the room and the mother is wailing away: “How can you do it to my son?”

Other religions beside the "new religion" called "Sahaj Marg" (meaning: "the easy path") "give Love" or so they seem to claim. Our homosexual brothers and sisters "give love" (to one another). Our children can "give love" and show tolerance for other "religions" if they are not taught such "intolerance" and outright "lies" as in the VBSE curriculum of the SRCM (California-1997). Examples: All religions do not "promote violence and war"!! All religions do not seek God "outside" any more than "spiritual groups" such as SRCM California-1997) who celebrate lavish "birthday bashes" for the Master who sits on his throne, entertained by children, and who build opulent Ashrams with marble, golden lion statues, busts of the Masters, and manicured lawns, much like other "religions" ! If God is truly "inside", SRCM (California-1997) spends a lot of time decorating and reveling in the "outside" with much pomp and ceremony, while the poor and the sick suffer, just like other so-called "corrupt religions".

SRCM (California-1997) and its "first" Master, Chari slanders all other religions, and cultures and discriminates against minorities, and even women who in Sahaj Marg, can be "preceptors" in his SRCM (California-1997) pyramidal organization, so as to attract other "followers" (specially targeting the children), but still can't be "Masters", according to Chari.

SRCM has manipulated it's own history and has claimed (Ram Chandra of Fatehgarh, Lalaji, as the first Master of Sahaj Marg which he is "obviously" not, having his own legitimate lineage in the Sufi NaqshMuMRa organization and in the RamAshram societies. Sahaj Marg was "invented" and founded thirteen years after Lalaji's death by Ram Chandra Saxena of Shahjahanpur, (aka Babuji).

There is no evidence of "reconciliation" between the current Master of SRCM (California-1997), Chari, and the SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945) presided by Navneet Kumar Saxena, a member of the Family of the Founder... The issue is still in the Supreme Court of India and there are many allegations of "criminal activity" including forgery, violence and murder (war?). (see research on this blog and many other blogs on-line)

This is just a small portion of the "information" available on this issue that demonstrates that this group of businessmen talks one story but acts another. They "Talk the Talk", but they don't "Walk the Walk"!!

If the United Nations wants to promote: Reconciliation, there are many more "reconciliatory" groups with which it could "jump in bed with" or to which it could "attach itself". This group of businessmen seems to be using the UN and its "DPI Program" (Department of Public Information) to clean it's terrible record or LOVE, HARMONY and RECONCILIATION which in REALITY appears to be more "hatred, intolerance, and un-forgiveness" that it attributes to "religion". As is clearly demonstrated in the testimonials of family-members what are not adherents to the Sahaj Marg of the SRCM (California-1997), many abhyasis, who still agree to be "living deads" and "serfs" of their Master as per their "method", also show no "reconciliation" in their now-divided "relationships".

RE-CONCILIATION?? NOT in Sahaj Marg, now a registered trade-mark of the SRCM (California-1997). Sahaj Marg is a trade mark (for commerce), registered to the SRCM (California-1997), which is operated by Sahaj Marg Spirituality Foundation and that "foundation" is registered to Chari and a few of his "inner group" (see here).

To use capitalist businessmen terms: SRCM (California-1997), being a "spiritualism" group, (as opposed to "spirituality"), with their "bible" of messages from the "spirits" of the deceased, channeled by an un-professional and anonymous French lady "medium", is overdrawn at the "reconciliation" bank.

Rajan's Experience: SRCM's 18 Years Or Older Rule!

In 1979, Dec 15th, I paid a visit to Shajahanpur to meet Babuji Maharaj. I was 30 years old then, I went to Babuji Maharaj because of my deteriorated health condition. I took leave from my Boss to meet Babuji Maharaj to complain my health condition. I met Babuji Maharaj and told him " Babuji Maharaj...my health condition suddenly deteriorated and I feel sometimes that I have reached Reality. Is it true ?. Then Babuji said " That is not Reality but Hallucination..

Then I asked Babuji Maharaj " Babuji, I am practicing mediation for over 10 years, then why I got this type of experience ? He said" You go to a doctor and get treatment , you will be alright and only then I can give you higher approaches in spirituality. Only when you are physically and mentally healthy I can give you higher progress otherwise it is not possible for me to do so"

Then he asked me " Rajan..when did you join in the mission ?". I said that I have joined at the age of 16 . At once Babuji got up from his seat and told me " Who (preceptor) has initiated at the age of 16. I have given strict instructions that nobody should be initiated below 18 years of age. That is fault with your case. Anyway you can go and join in your job after consulting a Doctor, I shall take care of your spirituality when you become healthy.

You are perfectly correct. It is simply Chari's foolishness to make the children to practice Sadhana at their very tender age. Chari is definetly going against the instructions of his spiritual master, that is dis-obedience to his master. Chari is committing sins by exploiting the child's free will and liberty, blessed by the Divine Oneness. He will reap terrible consequences for his misdeeds. It is something like in India, olden times,they used to marry the couple at the tender age of 5 or 6 and make their life miserable.

We shall ever remain one with the Divine (and) with every being.

Let us recognize it, once does not make a habit, but Chari has achieved a Master Stroke!

The annual Essay Competition of the "Annual All India Essay Writing Event" offered to youth in all schools in India to mark the International Day of Youth, August 12, 2009 is a great advertisement for the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (SRCM California-1997) .

The SRCM is not at its first attempt since, according to SRCM, this action has been undertaken since 1989 and that it has mobilized nearly 75, 000 children and youth participants from 10 to 24 years of age, in 2008.

But this year's novelty is that it is organized by the SRCM (California-1997) in collaboration with the Information Center of the UN for India and Bhutan (UNIC).

Master stroke or communication genius, here is the accreditation of the SRCM with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations obtained in late1985 and finely exploited, speaking media-wise.

It is a huge success as now, to the eyes of teachers, pupils and parents, the SRCM, the SMSF and SMRTI, are all closely related to the UNIC and to the UN, in the minds of people, not to mention the re-broadcasting of the information by the media.

The communication of the SRCM (California-1997) has not always been remarkable, far from it. But this time, the "seduction operation" has been successful beyond all expectations.

Certainly, the SRCM is only linked to the UN solely because of its accreditation to its Department of Public Information (UNDPI), as over 1,500 other NGOs along with it. And the association of NGOs with DPI gives it nothing more than access to local and UN information and in no case any consultative status.

But in Indian public opinion, the name of the SRCM is now associated with the most prestigious United Nations.

So that is Chari's dream come true. His perseverance has paid off, he is poised to win his bet: to exploit for for his own personal ends, the small accreditation of his movement with the UNDPI to promote Sahaj Marg ® and gain recognition and respectability in Indian public opinion .

Hats off, sir.

You really pulled a fast one on us!

The UN has declared that 2009 will be the International Year of Reconciliation. This, that the SRCM describes in 3 competition categories by age of participants, from the youngest to the oldest: "Give Love Get Love", "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you", "Love has hope , Hatred is hopeless. "

The thoughts suggested by the SRCM to the competitors are: "How does peace and friendship in society benefit the individual? Can there be Irreconcilable differences if everyone accepted this? R. Hats off, sir. We've been had! But we are not fooled. While the SRCM says one thing, it does another.

Reconciliation, Peace and Human Rights: When one thinks of the court cases of the Babuji family opposed to Chari's SRCM (California) for years, to the re-taking of ashrams by force, to the eventual (alleged) attempts of poisonings ...

Children, Youth and Family: when one thinks that Babuji forbade children from meditating (Sahaj Marg) before 18 years of age, while Chari's SRCM is assiduously courting them with the SRCM and its VBSE, and the LMOIS (Boarding) school, or this contest, as countless families are broken up by the introduction of Chari into the heart of the couple's relationship, and the separation of men and women for meditation and/or retreats ...

What about the rights of women, homosexuals, and so on?

Yes... Chari (or his team of serfs ... specially Mr. Puul, who works at the UN and is SRCM (California-1997) liaison with the UNDPI) has talent, character, but can he (or they) teach ethics, morality, theology and/or spirituality?? We have often heard it said (by the representatives of developed countries (capitalist and democratic)) that the UN was "corrupt" ... The DPI appears to be as corrupt as the "mother" society. The UN has no credibility among my circle of friends.

We know that the Jehovah's Witnesses, were part of UNDPI and volontarily resigned. The UNDPI did not "show them the door".

Even knowing the views and teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses in regards the UN ... and they were accepted (1992-2001) as "members of UNDPI"

It seems that the global government of the "New World Order" (Kissinger, O'Bama, et al) will have to emerge from groups like the EU. (from Europe (including Russia), and "United States" (US) of the Americas (North and South), and the "United States" (U.S.) of Asia (the TRINITY or "Trilateral-ism"), not from the UN which shows itself again to be too "corrupted" ... If they can not even manage effectively the small "DPI" department, how will they manage the global world.

I tried several times to send them letters to make them aware of the "SRCM" REALITY, but I never got an answer. I think someone at the UN has intercepted my letters ...

The representative of the SRCM (a gentleman named: Puul) who works at the United Nations has done his work and has infiltrated the UNDPI for the SRCM which is not democratic and does not promote the ideals of the UN . It seems that the UN does not even support its own criteria.

The rot is everywhere! All systems are under pressure, and become corrupt and break down because of entropy (the measure of disorder in a system)! ;-))

This first message is allegedly (according to Chari) from Babuji, who has been dead since 1983. Now Babuji is apparently conveniently sending messages to Chari "directly" after sending his messages for years to an anonymous French lady Medium (a non-professional). Sahaj Marg is now SPIRITUALISM ... as opposed to "SPIRITUALITY" a system such as "Raja Yoga" where even the belief in the ONE (what some call "GOD" or the CREATOR) is not necessary! Some adepts even believe in "NOTHING" or "ZERO" ...

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have received a message from my revered Master, Babuji Maharaj, and I have to share it with all of you because it is important for every abhyasi to listen carefully to what he has conveyed to us, and to follow the advice that is given here. This is what Babuji Maharaj has said. (Lie number ONE... To channel messages from the dead is not SPIRITUALITY but SPIRITUALISM... Please change your PR material so as to tell the TRUTH!!! This is also not "Raja Yoga"!! Tell the TRUTH!! Which part of the "eightfold path" speaks to "channeling messages from the spirits of the dead"? Babuji left enough "writings" in his lifetime to show that these channeled "Whispers" are not true, not necessary, and are just "money-making schemes". I guess no one believes Chari anymore, and now he has to use Babuji and his "alleged channeled words" in a "spiritualist" ritual, so as to gain credibility.

Sahaj Marg is not a "meditation system" anymore but a "seance-driven", channeled messages from the dead, (Who can question their "words"? Anything can be said in their name!!! ) ... words that according to Chari, are to become the "Bible" of Sahaj Marg... Has anyone read these "Whispers"? Shame!! What a Sham!! What a Scam!! from something that was suppose to be "sacred"!! We'll have to call on the spirit of "Harry Houdini", to debunk yet another "spiritualist" scam!! Houdini spent much of the latter part of his life exposing and debunking such "shams"!! )

“Lord Krishna (Is Krishna not from what Chari calls "corrupt Hinduism" and "religion" ??) blesses our way for what it is, and for what it will become, within the framework of an expansion of consciousness, the principles for which is set in motion. Our Mission is making progress to that effect. Our Beloved son, your Master, is acting fully towards this prospect. (Chari is praising himself, claiming the praise comes from Babuji.) Time is pressing; (Chari is religiously creating a sense of fear and urgency) don’t look back anymore, except for memories of admiration and gratitude towards a perfect Being equipped with all that which constitutes the divine greatness manifested here below, and who had illuminated the world at a time of obscurantism — as far as this great figure of our history is concerned.” (Of course, he is referring to himself and to Lalaji Maharaj).

Babuji, being the "humble" person he was, would not refer to "himself" as: "...this great figure of our history..." Also, the pronoun "this" means "one person. To refer to two "great figures" (Babuji and Lalaji) , the correct pronoun would be "these". Babuji, allegedly being"divine", would know this. Grammar is not "beyond the divine"... even English grammar.)

“Your objective must be: advance, serve, and contribute to the greatness of our Mission in all its forms here and now, and open doors, those of the Spirit, in all its manifestation. That is the objective of the present. Man looks back; that is in his nature, but he must forge ahead, especially in this pivotal period when everything can change course from one moment to the next. (Chari creating fear and urgency again.) Time is pressing. ‘The inconceivable’ is in the offing; you should focus your efforts accordingly.

Be creative and vigilant. Draw your inspiration from the past to better build a future, more in adequacy with the objectives of the higher powers. All the great Beings turn their attention to man’s elevation — a very vast subject — for an objective excluding any error, which would be fatal for him. (creating fear again... What "great Beings"? "Aliens from "other dimensions"?? Cryptic! )

Explore what we offer to you with more attention. Your minds caught up in the upheaval of ‘modernism’, don’t see the main thing anymore. Deepen our teachings, (Yes... Please "deepen" your teachings!! Make them "logical" and at least TRUE!!) including this celestial manna represented by these messages. (Give me a break... "these "messages" or "whispers" some allegedly from Chari's Mother, his wife and other "elevated souls", are "mental pap", not the Judeo-Christian's biblical "manna".) You don’t realize how important they are. (Important as a "fund-raiser" not as a "theology" .) They have nothing sensational, on the face of it, but they radiate energy and a truth, which few hearts really grasp. (Oh yes! lol lol ... If the words don't say anything, claim that the "meaning" is in the "vibrations" of the words ... shame on you! The serfs must really be "brainwashed" if they believe that "crap" to be anything but "a scam"!! It is just a way of selling the "suckers" one more books that regurgitate "pap" and useless words!! But if they read it "repeatedly" (seven or eight times, according to Chari), it "may" erase their samskaras... WOW!! And Chari pooh poohs the Roman Catholic "confession" stating that it isnot "possible" ...) You should interiorize yourselves and advance on the way of love; there lies the main thing and the strength of the future world, cleaned up and restructured for its safeguarding.

Divest yourselves of useless things (asking for donations) and get to the main thing; don’t waste your time with that which is not worth it. Be vigilant, time flies and cannot be made up. Serve your Master as best you can and love him above all; there lies your greatest and most beautiful challenge. If this was "channeled", it would not be "signed" ... it was not given on a "paper" was it? ... Let us ( or a handwriting expert...) check that "signature" please as we hear that at Sahaj Marg, some "un-ethical and immoral characters" allegedly sometimes "forge" other people's signature and claim fictitious statements to be from Babuji and Lalaji, for their own personal gain.

Apparently, they even forge, manipulate or "invent" their own history, claiming that Lalaji is their "first Master"... Lalaji who's method was "shabda Yoga" among many techniques, and who has his own legitimate following and organizations. Babuji was not a preceptor of Lalaji and only met him a few times when he was 18 years old, according to his own journal... See exerpts from: Autobiography of Ram Chandra) ... the real one, that contains 80% of Babuji's journals, and published by the Family of Babuji. Unlike Chari's version which represents only 20% of Babuji's journals. Awaken to the Truth

A Message given by Rev. Master at Tiruppur, India on 25th July, 2009

I was lost in the bhajan [devotional song] and the mood that it evoked inside; and suddenly I have been asked to say a few words! All that I can say is that daily you see on your computer screen one message from my Master. (channeled by an anonymous and "un-professional" French Lady Medium) The frequency of his communication must impress upon our hearts the need for deeper and deeper understanding, more and more dedication in our practice, in our faith, and better and better utilization of the time available to us. When I asked Babuji Maharaj, “What is wisdom?” he said, “Live as if you are going to die the next moment.” Live as if you are going to die the next moment. (Gee, that is "original"... There must be hundreds of other persons who said the same thing. So much for "originality" and uniqueness of Sahaj Marg.) If that is the sentiment which we adopt in the conduct of our life, we won’t fool around looking for pleasures, diversions, amusements, gratification. We will put our soul into every moment of our existence, and that is the only way to build the future. (And what is a "birthday bash" if not "pleasure, diversions, amusement, gratification ??). I guess all the music of Sahaj Marg is "divine".... NOT any more than "other music"...)

So what can I say which my Master is not telling us every morning? We have had two volumes of Whispers from the Brighter World. I am in the process of preparing the third volume. And as they say in Islam, Insha-Allah [God willing] there will be a fourth volume. I look upon these four volumes, when they are eventually produced, as the four Vedas of our Sanatana Dharma, because these are indeed not smriti but shruti (received knowledge, not ‘mentated’, not thought, not intellected). (you got that right... not thought out at all, and not "spirituality" but "spritualism" with messages from the dead, seances, channeling, etc...) And that is the highest knowledge that we as human beings can receive when we are privileged to have a guru of that stature who can communicate with us from what he calls the Brighter World. (Where is that "Brighter World" again? Around "Venus" where Chari claims he will go after his death? (According to Chari, himself!! ) And some of these messages, you know, they show us what an unhappy, miserable existence is ours on this earth which we think is the best, of which we think so much, to which we are so much attached, and from which we do not want to depart, all because of the body consciousness that we have, which makes it possible to fool ourselves through the pleasures of the five senses. (As all can see, there is NO gratefulness in Sahaj Marg for the gift of this LIFE!! Ungrateful "living dead"!! Maybe if they "lived" alive, they would be more "grateful" for the gift from the ONE "divine". I guess they won't "miss" it then, when they are "dead dead", really "DEAD"... Hopefully, "Insha-Allah", they won't come back to this world, so to create their "opiatic fear and temptation" on the psyche of the Masses again. We will finally be FREE from this "religious" fantasy called "Sahaj Marg" and other such "religions" with their "fear" and "un-gratefulness" tactics".)

You see what an illusory world we live in, what in Sanskrit we call maya (illusion). And to get out of this illusion we must be like a spider. (Oh! Now become like a "spider"! First it was a LION, now a spider. All the predators, I see) I was thinking early this morning of a spider which weaves a web, beautiful web. If you see a spider’s web on a winter morning with the sun rising behind it, you see its beauty. They are wonderful strands which are traps for everything in life, but from which the spider can escape. It is not caught in its own web. But we are caught in our own web. (You are, as you have spun a web of materialism, spiritualism and deceit, not US who have not spun a web.) We weave webs of fancies, webs of desires, webs of ambition, and in these small steps of what we call advancement in this world, whether it be for money or power or position, we are satisfied, we think we are masters of this earth. And because of our attachment, we are doomed to come again and again until this is broken. ("It" is broken for us... We do not have material "power", "ambition", "advancement". Those are your "traps" and your fancies, and your desires, not ours...Preach at yourself!! )

These bhandaras [spiritual gatherings] (birthday bashes are not "spiritual" they are "psysical" material and religious pomp and ceremony and spiritualist "tourism" for the benefit of the "inner circle" of Sahaj Marg and their very material "businesses".) should most of all awaken us to the reality of the situation that we are living in an illusory, unreal world, full of false promises, temptations, traps. And to escape out of this, some sort of teaching is offered, some sort of instruction is given. And in these sessions of meditation that we participate in, we lose ourselves (I once was lost but now I'm Found... your are still lost and losing yourselves more and more everyday) ; and suddenly you wake up, when we say, “That’s all,” and often, if you have gone deep enough, you are bewildered as to where you are. You don’t know for some moments where you are, what you are, and why you are here. (sounds like sahaj Marg does not bring: consciousness but really confuses the "adherents", (from "Adhesive" meaning: glued or stuck) I hope you all experience such states of being, which show us that the ultimate condition is one of nowhere, not now, not here. Then where? It is in such a condition that we are in a world where there is no time, (there is no TIME, just MOTION measure as TIME) there is no place, there is no knowledge. (There is "SOMETHING", not "nothing"... just open the eyes and come out of the "illusion") In fact that is the divine realm of which Babuji Maharaj calls the Brighter World. (Made up by whom, this 'Brighter World"? Sounds like the fantasy of the "heaven" of other religions.)

I am happy to see so many of you here. (Most from the three provinces in India, where Sahaj Marg has spread, since Chari "commercialized the MISSION of Babuji, which was not to be "commercialized". 35,000 in a Indian population of one Billion is not a great "spread" .) I hope to see more and more in future years because that is the way things must grow. This must spread. I was talking to some young persons this morning of the trap into which religion puts us — every religion, all religions, everywhere in the world. False promises, useless practices; if I may be permitted to say so, unholy loyalties. If a god has to tempt me and promise me things which even God cannot deliver, then what is that religion worth? Why are we addicted to it? Why are we grovelling before false gods? There are false gods, but only one true God. Ekam sat [The Truth is one]. (I hear from some who leave Sahaj Marg, that Sahaj Marg worships "false gods". They create false "gods" of men (not women). Chari's "brotherhood" is not very deep and respectful of other "religions". What Chari accuses other "religions" of doing and being, is what he and SRCM(California-1997) does. Methinks they doth protest too much (Shakespeare).. Chari's blessings on "marriages" does not protect them from "seperation" and even an alleged "suicide". Chari who promises to "erase samskaras" is doing the same "temptation" he accuses other religions (not Sahaj Marg) of doing.

So it is time to say goodbye to religion. (Good bye Sahaj Marg, the "neo-religion" according to Babuji and Vivekananda, in the Autobiography of Ram Chandra, published by SRCM (Shahjahanpur), registered in India, 1945.) As Babuji says, “Where spirituality begins, religion ends.” We don’t give up religion. We don’t preach that we destroy religion. We are not here to break temples or idols. We are here to find the truth, what we call akhlaaq. What is the truth? Where is He? Babuji Maharaj says if He is anywhere, He is in your heart. (You can't take the TRUTH!! REALITY is not what Sahaj Marg adherents realize, even about the "history" of their own origins, the "TRUE" history of Sahaj Marg and SRCM) And he says if He is not here [pointing to heart], for you He is nowhere. Please understand this carefully. If He is not here, He (meaning God) is nowhere for you. (the ONE is not a "HE"... That is not the TRUTH!!... God (and Lord) is a "Gothic (German) word" and is not the ONE...and the ONE is not MALE... Speak and write the TRUTH!!)

So our only temple, our only place of worship, our only place where we can meet God as a lover is the heart. (God as a "lover"... give me a "break"!! lol lol ... Wrong ... the ONE is everywhere ... not just in the "heart" ... If you ever meet "the ONE" tell IT (not HIM) Don said "hi"!! ) So Sahaj Marg only talks of the heart, transmission from the heart, love from the heart (not from the head). (that is the "Spider's web that keeps the "serfs" in a "trap" ... They can't "think" their way out of the TRAP (Spider's web) ... But they will eventually ... You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.) Because we all think that we love — without loving. We think we love. But when the truth comes, love is never spoken about. There is no grandiose flourish; there are no embellishments; it’s only a look from the eye, you see. As Babuji said, a flower does not broadcast itself and say, “Look here, I am beautiful, I am perfumed.” It is. (Think of that as you egotistically sit on your "throne" at your next "birthday bash" and have the "peasants" adore you, make offerings to you, sing songs for you, etc... as a "Saviour") In a similar way, God is. Other than Him (IT is not only a "HIM) there is nothing. (you don't know that... there is "something" as ONE IS) And when we are there, we can say: we are — He (ONE is not only a "He") and I. This is what the krishna-leelas are all supposed to be about: the Divine dance of existence, of eternal existence, perpetually happy, perpetually moving, perpetually dissolving, perpetually reuniting. With a purpose? Of course. We don’t understand what it is, but He knows. (ONE is not only a "He")

As Babuji says again and again in many of his messages, they know. (The Mystical "institute of "THEY"..the "aliens" from other "dimensions"?? ) What they know, they tell us. What they want us to do, they instruct us. What we need by way of assistance, they give us. Above all, they love us. In the latest message which I read out yesterday, he says that they are working for the elevation of humankind — all of us, everywhere, no prejudice about colour, caste, race, religion, anything. For them we are human beings. But for us, even the unity that God is, we have split up into your god and my god and no god. My god is not your god, your god is not my god. We fight, we kill each other, we have wars. Today’s wars are all about religion. The biggest problem facing humanity today is RELIGION. Capital R, capital E, write it all in capitals. And if you have the ability to do so, like a computer, erase. I have to speak forcefully about this because on one side we see a handful of new abhyasis every year, and we see more and more converts to the other side — the dark side (Sahaj Marg, the destroyer of families) if I may say so of our approach to God — religion. (the problems facing us in our families is "Sahaj Marg", not RELIGION ... Sahaj Marg divides, Sahaj Marg is allegedly violent, Sahaj Marg allegedly attacks the family of the founder, and seizes their Ashram. Sahaj Marg is a RELIGION)

Please take this to heart. Think over it. (What? You want the people to "THINK"?? With what? the heart, the lowly pump... not the "brain" the nerve center???) Silly!!! Do you not use your head to THINK??) You must learn to think even about your [understanding of] God, about your faith, about your belief. Am I believing in the right thing? (NO YOU ARE NOT) Can this be God because everybody says this is God? God is everywhere. Not because He is everywhere, because everywhere is His. That is where He is. Like you cannot say of the breeze that it is here and not there. And I repeat, if He (The ONE is not only a MALE, It is not a HE) s everywhere, He (IT) is in my heart. For one in whose heart there is no God, he will die godless, (not so) a most tragic situation, because under such a condition if a man leaves this life, Babuji said even God cannot say what his future is going to be. (Fear and temptation of RELIGION)

I pray that all of you will awaken, (and see) you see, to this truth that I have been living a life of illusion, (face the TRUTH for a while) of belief in things of which I know nothing, of loyalties to things which don’t deserve my loyalty, of love for things for which there is no possible love. Because today we love ice cream, we love pizza, we love this, we love that. We love everything but God. (You don't even love the family of your FOUNDER!! Love is not part of Sahaj Marg. Sahaj Marg and its preceptors "destroy" love. (that is a quote from Chari at a "preceptor's seminar" in 2001)

So, sisters and brothers, (now you put "sisters" first because they are wanting "equality"... Women can't be Masters according to Chari, but they can be "slaves, serfs and "judas goats".) I would like to close this beautiful bhandara by requesting you all to wake up and remember the most important statement I have heard from my Master. Every statement is important, but that which shook me — because I, too, followed a religious way of life till my marriage (not worshiping idols and stones and all that, but believing in many things that were told to me). And this shook me, what Babuji said. He said, “Religion has no God, God has no religion.” (WRONG....Religion has a GOD... how silly, and it is not "Babuji"....and Religions even have many "gods", and also many "different "gods", but the ONE (a number) has no RELIGION ... that is the TRUTH)
