CREST now focuses on youth. It offers them a session from 17 to 22 of June. Here is what we found on SRCM India Newsletter May 2008. Take a look at the topics! It's interesting…

CREST - Sadhana Program for Youth
CREST is happy to announce a new trainning program designed only for abhyasis in the age group of 20 - 30 years. The 'Sadhana Program for Youth' will be a 6 day residential program in CREST. The schedule of this program will be similar to that of the Sadhana Program, with facilitated discussions on topics specific to the Youth.
Some of the topics that will be dealt with via facilitated discussions are 'The Spirit of Volunteering', 'Marriage by Sahaj Marg Padhdhati', 'Relationships at Workplace and at Home', 'Financial Planning' and 'Family Planning / Importance of having a Family'.

After the post by Don on (alleged) "suicide of this ardent abhyasi" who was newlywed, we still wonder what are the important messages that Sahaj Marg wants to deliver to its youth…

Hi Don. I wandered if I could help in anyway. I do believe this is a crime against humanity and spreading fast. The lies and deciet need to be exposed beyond the internet and there are enough families been affected now to just maybe form a type of rally for all those affected by cults. An anti cult world wide day I think may at least bring attention to the cult members and also release the suppression which has been bestowed on humanity by these evil warlords. I call them that due to the family wars they have instigated. What do you think?

Thanks for the offer... If we had more "responsible" people like you, these "faith-based" groups such as CULTS and Religions could not survive. They rely on "VOLUNTEERS" to grow...

I am doing some "battle" on WIKI at the Sahaj Marg page with 4 or 5 SRCM (Chennai), Chari's group that was registered in California in 1997, and they are trying to stop anything controversial from enterin the Article and use WIKI as more of a PR page... The last battle was about the "age limit of 18 yrs old" for Sahaj Marg...They did not want that in, calling it "scare mongering", and of course because they are getting "KIDS" to meditate from as low as 9 yrs old (that we know of) at their schools and it is even added in their "CURRICULUM", the "Value Based Spiritual Education" (VBSE). IN that curriculum, they also teach that all religions are corrupt (but not them of course)...So they are not a religion in their mind, but a "MEDITATION" group that they claim is a Raja Yoga even though one of their preceptors, in an article, stated that Sahaj Marg Starts at rung 7 (Meditation) of the Eightfold Path....Hardly a "RAJA YOGA"...

Your idea about an "internation "anti-cult" day is a good idea, but if we could turn it into a POSITIVE rather than an "ANTI" something...
Religions are "faith-based" systems, I (and maybe "we") want to encourage the MASSES to THINK, so we want "logic-based" systems... but not be completely without "faith" or "trust", hope, etc...think of a "buzz-word" that would address that in the POSITIVE? lol... Or we can just go: "ANTI-CULT DAY" and PROMOTE that... Most cults would not want to be "LISTED" on our BLACK LIST so we have to think of a RAINBOW LIST that lists ALL....the White(s) and the BLACK(s)....SUCH IS THE INTERNET...

Give that some thought, and I will help as much as I can...I am not a techie and I am on "dial up" as I live in the "wilderness"...lol
So U-tube and any other "broad-band" sites are not accessible to me without hours of waiting...

Hope to see you on WIKI putting in your "NPOV" (Neutral Point of View) and "well thought-out" ideas, as is expected on WIKI... lol

Hi Don thanks for your reply. I'm away on holiday for a couple of weeks. I really feel for the friends but mostly families who are destroyd by cult brainwashing. I would like to see all of them have a voice. Something will change sooner or later. Education on this subject is a must. The taboo only aids cult leaders to persue thier own selfish goals. Some of these individuals are being given power and that is a frightening prospect for everyone. Will look you up on my return. Cheers.

Freedom from mind control.

Susan...

I like that mention of MIND CONTROL as it includes all kinds of other "cultish" activities such as "commercials", and other Corporation and government manipulations...Someone was on WIKI called "CULT FREE WORLD"...I like that too...

I include Religions as "Cults" that have become "mainstream". Some of them, such as "The Holy Roman Catholic Church" have been "disempowered" somewhat by the Protestant REFORMATION and don't have the same power as in the "medieval" days. Others such as ISLAM, even though they have gone through many schisms, are not REFORMED, and are still "cults" run by local "imams" who operate as WARLORDS.

If one is a follower of "only one kind of music", such as blues, or Bluegrass, that is not one's "cultural" music, one is said to be a "cult follower" and those small markets are said to have "cult followings"...The same with some "underground" bands, movies, art, etc...

CULT FREE WORLD has a GLOBAL feel to it...uses the word "FREE" or Freedom, so is POSITIVE... and I like it a lot...

Think about it on your holidays...
When you come back send me a message at don-4d-don@hotmail.com...and share you "email" address with me...

Thanks for your interest in this issue of CULTS...You are absolutely right to be concerned and now, with the INTERNET, we have the tool to "COUNTER" their secretive and manipulative tactics.

The uk depot on cults is seemingly closed. Due to religious freedom. What about freedom in religion. Also closed for the time being. But not forever..see you.
