Discreet Sahaj Marg? Really?

Translation of an article by Alexis: "Discret, le Sahaj Marg? Vraiement?", on Élodie's blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

November 29, 2015

Discreet Sahaj Marg? Really ?An Article by Alexis on his blog: « Le Sahaj Marg agit à sa manière, discrètement » ?!

On November 3, 1999, Babuji / Peyret (the Sahaj Marg Medium)  said in a whisper: "Why should we hide?"

Today, they claim, "Sahaj Marg is on its way, discreetly" (October 20, 2015)
Discreetly, really?

The Heartfulness Meditation program implemented by Patel is the opposite of discretion. On October 31st,  the Heartfulness Institute (HI) published in the Bulletin for abhyasis (No. 2015.118) a summary of  the Heartfulness approach (see excerpts below):

No, really, Heartfulness is the opposite of discretion: "we are able to touch all sections of humanity." Heartfulness, is the setting in motion of Sahaj Marg, a vast proselytist offensive of greater magnitude.

"Heartfulness: has a wide Social Media presence" on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn or Instagram (see the Board (index?)  of social networks, http://spiritualityfoundation.org/en-us/social). Not to mention the webinars, meetings or seminars between abhyasis on the web ...

And it is not finished...

“We hope to have TV and Podcast media available very soon.” and “Radio City Wellness will be broadcasting two programs on their web radio channel called ‘Radio City Wellness’ from the 16th of November until the 25th of December 2015. The Heartfulness Relaxation technique at 7:00 a.m. (IST) every morning, and 'Shanti Sutra', in which a Heartfulness trainer will talk about a practical approach to the Sahaj Marg system (…)” in Bulletin No: 2015.121 – Thursday, November 12, 2015.

Sahaj Connect is an app for smartphones, but it is also U-Connect, Connect-C, G-Connect, V-Connect ...
Anyone from the age of 15 years (YoungHearts.org) you (You or U for youth) or me, companies (Corporate) or the State (Government: army, police and civil service) Villages.  etc...

Will we tomorrow be on World-Connect?

Do you want to organize an XY or Z Sahaj session?  Connect. No problem, all the necessary material has been prepared by the Heartfulness Institute and is available in the self-service http://content.heartfulness.org. You will find all the course materials you dream of, from an invitation letter template or a lesson plan of the day with the slide adapted to your target audience.

A Western approach to yoga and urban, human resources training and personal development and well being in business ...

Talking "how everybody" emphasize what attracts people, avoid foreign words or too specialized ... Pamper newcomers, the drink of love ... "Creating an Inclusive Environment"

All volunteers are welcome to participate, but it is better to appeal to specialists.

"Public Speakers Needed Experienced (...), and seeking professional Accomplished public speakers, professors and industry experts"

"Sahaj Marg is on its way, discreetly."  To live happy, live hidden? Nothing is less true today. SRCM is no longer low profile, that period is over.

Chari proscribed (discouraged?)  abhyasis discussions on the web and social networks. With the arrival of Guru 2.0 Patel is a new era that opens to Sahaj marg. In the shadow of Heartfulness, rigor ....

But Heartfulness Meditation, is in full light. This is also its sole justification. As Babuji / Peyret say:  times change ...

Alexis

Exerpts of Bulletin N° 2015.118 (Saturday October 31, 2015) :

“(...) We all now understand the need to approach Sahaj Marg as a movement. It is needed for ourselves as well as for the Masters’ vision of a transformed humanity.

So, in this landscape where meditation has become a mainstream activity, devoid of its religious connotations, how do we differentiate ourselves?

(...) We have to approach them scientifically and, most importantly, experientially. This is very important especially in the urban and western worlds.

(..) With 15-year-olds now allowed to meditate and villages opening up via V-Connect, we are able to touch all sections of humanity.

(...) Always follow the same steps of conducting meditation without transmission first, as this provides a scientific comparison with the later meditation with transmission, and thus an experiential introduction to Sahaj Marg practice and transmission.

(...) Heartfulness has a large Social Media presence, so you may draw the attention of participants and also add the following links to any printed handouts. [Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram]

(...) We have several tools and opportunities for connecting with people to share Heartfulness on two levels: local and global.

Locally: Online Meetup sites

(...). The Welcome Desk is an important means to create a suitable atmosphere for newcomers in our ashrams and centers. We have found that connecting to organizations that have their own internal means of informing and inviting their members, such as yoga studios, churches or temples, is most conducive. We also offer yoga and other classes in our ashrams, especially in the West, to improve the usage of the ashram and interaction with the community. For corporate initiatives (C-Connect) we have a full range of programs from multi-session courses to introductory 50-minute workshops. We have had success from a grass roots perspective with abhyasis reaching out to their management or HR and Wellness teams.

Globally: The Heartfulness Institute (HI) is planning to have four occasions each year to interact with people cohesively on a global scale:

January 1 – New Year’s Day
April 30 – Will be celebrated as ‘One World, One Humanity’ Day
June 21 – UN International Yoga Day
September 21 – UN World Peace Day

(...) For seekers becoming more established in the practice, introduce them to the mobile apps such as Sahaj Connect and the Heartfulness Mobile App, to help them develop a regular practice. We hope to have TV and Podcast media available very soon.

Creating an Inclusive Environment: As newcomers and visitors attend group meditation and gatherings, we will become increasingly sensitive to the ways in which we interact and present ourselves during all gatherings

(...). We may need to use inclusive language, minimizing foreign terms that are unnecessary while local translations are appropriate.

(...) For each one of us, an overall attitude of care and commitment toward newcomers can do as much as any other outreach effort. Making a personal connection with someone new, so they feel welcome and noticed, may give people all the encouragement and sense of belonging they need in the beginning. At the same time, while helping and guiding newcomers, we need to develop great patience with them, allowing them to grow at the pace that’s right for them. Creating a welcoming atmosphere includes harmony in the center.

(...) We are looking for volunteers with a wide range of skills or aptitudes.

(...) Teaching, Training, Social Media, Writers,

(...) Graphic Design, Software, Information Technology

(...) Experienced Public Speakers Needed : HI is seeking professional and accomplished public speakers, professors and industry experts to participate in speaking engagements for C-Connect, U-Connect, the Omega Science and Spirituality Clubs, and others.(...).

Heartfulness Or The Hypocrisy of Spiritual Benevolence?

Translation of an article by Élodie: "Heartfulness ou l'hypocrisie de la bienveillance spirituelle", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

November 15, 2015

Heartfulness Or The Hypocrisy of Spiritual Benevolence?

At the time when, prey to violence and barbarism, France tends its wounds yet again, a stunning emotion invades us. This is the time for compassion and solidarity for the City of Light which has been struck in the heart.

But beyond these immediate emotions and misunderstandings that overwhelm us, we must recognize our share of responsibility for the reprehensible destiny of these jihadists children.

Our World is not a pleasant dream, it's the least we can say. We do not offer an enchanting perspective to our youth and to our children. Of that we are totally responsible, totally and solely responsible.

It is obvious that we must give meaning to life. Benevolence and Spirituality are certainly a part of the values that we have to place again in the foreground. "The 21st century will be spiritual or it will not be (exist?)."  How many times have we heard that affirmation?

There are some oriental, (Hindu, Buddhist) values, which we would do well to learn from. But all these groups who claim to be "Eastern spirituality" are not the same. Vigilance must remain the order of the day.

The Heartfulness Meditation program of Kamlesh Patel, SRCM and Sahaj Marg brilliantly exploits an opposition to darkness and the emptiness (vacuum-ness?) of our world with a supposed spiritual benevolence which they openly display.

They would have us dangle a Utopia of the "Best of Worlds" through meditation on the heart. But the ideology of benevolence spread by Heartfulness is only a hypocritical facade for some mysterious goals very  much more dark and obscure.

Let us constantly keep in mind some signals that show that Sahaj Marg is not as white as the image it wants to give us:

Obey and serve - Pieces of Anthology on Obedience - Salient Features: #4
http://pourquevivelesahajmarg.blogspot.fr/2009/02/morceaux-danthologie.html

"(...) Obedience must be total. (...) If a man is obedient, his goal is already in sight. (...) The total obedience is what is required for those who choose or who wishes to be perfect. (...) It is not for me to think, just obey. (...) There is only freedom is that of obedience to the Master. (...) We should be like a dog, who is just happy to be at the master's feet and look at his face! Babuji, himself, used the example of the dog. So do not think I insult you. Babuji always praised the devotion of a dog for his master. It was one of his constant jokes: if you invert the word "dog" (dog) you get the word "God" (God). See, he wanted a dog-like devotion in us, unquestioning obedience. (...) Obedience is the first law of spirituality. I place it above love (...). It is not easy to love, but it is easy to obey. (...)"
Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari

Moral Degradation, according to Chari - Speech entitled "Morality is Essential" of October 12, 2010 (Seminar for Character Development for functionaries, Chennai India):

“(…) Today I read in the newspaper, I had it read, that India has slipped in the world list of nations to tackle hunger, even though there are less hungry people in India now. The way we are doing it does not compare with the way in which other countries are doing it. People like Bill Gates, he is willing to give billions for AIDS. Even the Pope, when Babuji Maharaj and I were in the Vatican some years ago, said a special prayer for AIDS sufferers. Why specially AIDS people? This shows our moral degradation. They don’t want tuberculosis patients, paralytic patients, heart patients; the idea being that these people are rich enough to afford their own cure. That is moral degradation — when a Pope says a special prayer!

So you see, it is from below to the top or the other way down, when churches condone same-sex marriages, perform same-sex marriages. Soon a day will come when perhaps, in Athens or Barcelona or somewhere, you will find a man marrying a cow (…).”

If churches (religions?) close their eyes and condone gay marriages, a man may soon marry a cow. That is the limit of Chari's benevolence of Chari: Bill Gates, the Pope, the religions, AIDS, sex and homosexuality are all in the same bag of his intransigence.

With Whispers, it is the Apocalypse that is promised to us:

"Within a quarter century, the earth will experience great turmoil. This will be the beginning of a very difficult cycle for earthlings to live through. Fire will literally fall on some parts of the world, while torrents of rain will stream on others. Cataclysms will follow one another for many long years, holding in suspense the frightened of mankind. (...) In future centuries, the current configuration of the continents will be upset. (...) The atom will turn against mankind, who has not been able to domesticate it, and its overwhelming power will be devastating. (...) The mutation of this planet must go through all of these disasters, to truly perform. "(2/28/01)" Sooner or later, mistakes must be paid for; this civilization is going too far into excess. A sudden brake will be placed on this destructive system; it is in the order of things. "(09/10/04)

Mankind is speeding to its doom, divine punishment comes, it will be the Apocalypse. But a new race is looming on the horizon, an elite will save the world.

Chari was homophobic. Babuji was a racist (and sexist?) . The medium, Peyret is apocalyptic. And Patel, (what is he)?  Benevolence has never stifled (choked?)  them; not even tolerance. The history of this movement is not a bed of roses, it is made of betrayal, violence and jealousy.

For what, or for whom do they roll? But that's another good question. But not for us, for sure.

Properties: Sahaj Marg Real Estate

Translation of an article by Alexis: "Immobilier: Sahaj Marg Real Estate", posted on Élodie's blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

November 1, 2015

 Properties: Sahaj Marg Real Estate

Madhuvanam Real Estate, an article by Alexis

Madhuvanam Real Estate and the society Sahaj Kalyan Gruha Pvt. Ltd. are selling a complex of 1,000 apartments on ten hectares on the site of Kanha Shanti Vanam, near Hyderabad.

Background: (deemed to become) The Lighthouse of SRCM , the "Mecca of Sahaj Marg" (Kamlesch D. Patel, April 10, 2015), the object of the Kanha Hyderabad Shanti Vanam project is to create a campus of 200-300 hectares according to sources, including an ashram and a colony that surrounds it.

Stage One - 2008: Real Estate Project Committees are established to assist Santosh Khanjee and PR Krishna in searching for good real estate and / or land deals. Private projects with sometimes complex legal and tax arrangements, these "living places", in addition to housing individuals, will include a cottage for Master and a meditation room. Plots of the colony would be resold under the regulations of private companies, abhyasis will cover the costs and the possible benefits

Stage Two: - Nothing less than four charities were created between November 2009 and March 2010 to acquire and manage this huge campus Kanha Shanti Vanam (KSV), Yashoda Kanha Shanti Vanam (YKSV), Radha Kanha Shanti Vanam (RKSV) and Devaki Kanha Shanti Vanam (DKSV).

Stage Three: - April 26, 2015, Patel attended the erection of a statue of Babuji at the construction site of the ashram. A statue of 13 tons and almost 10 meters high, a hundred sheets of metal cast in a mold from a gold alloy of five metals. Babuji's statue now sits above a bright star-shaped building, which will itself be the focus of a future building in the shape of a heart, to show the aerial view of an esoteric symbol published in "Whispers".

Step Four: - Current step: Madhuvanam Real Estate and society Sahaj Kalyan Gruha Pvt. Ltd. selling a complex of 1,000 apartments on ten hectares on the site of Kanha Shanti Vanam.

Situated near Hyderabad and a pristine and lush green expanse, Kanha Shanti Vanam, Madhuvanam Real Estate invites you to join the security of a gated community, the benefit of having similar individuals for neighbors, world class apartments with a clubhouse with international standards, meditation lounges and many other facilities that will make your successful investment for the future. etc. etc.

Only a few individuals will have the privilege of enjoying this (1000 apartments), according to the principle to become a classic SRCM "first come (first payer), first served", though details and plans are still subject to change ...

"allotment will be made on first come first serve basis of complete payment. Details and plans are subject to change."

The developer Madhuvanam Real Estate (http://madhuvanam.com/about.html) was established in 2012 by the company Sahaj Kalyan Gruha Private Limited, itself incorporated on 08/11/2012 (Ramachandra Mission Road, Domalguda, Hyderabad, Telangana, India) with 4 directors close to the head or members of the local SRCM.

Meanwhile, Radha Kanha Shanti Vanam opened subscriptions for a subdivision of residential plots, on part of the campus of the ashram (see http://www.kanhashantivanam.org/).

There are lready four charities, a real estate company and more than 15 cumulative directors, besides all that we do not know!

Is SRCM a small spiritual organization or a large land and real estate investments enterprise?

The Summer in Sahaj Marg (2015)

Translation of an article by Elodie: "Un Été au Sahaj Marg", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

Sept. 5, 2015

The Summer at Sahaj Marg

(According to Alexis' summer messages.  Alexis ensured the guard for the summer)

Kamlesh Patel re-launches his proselytizing with his "Heartfuness Meditation" program; the reunification of the abhyasis around a vast project of workforce (membership?) growth, in order to strengthen the egregore and tilt the world towards spirituality.

Link: Patel's Proselytizing Offensive (in French)

Patel also claims that the trial, which opposed Chari's SRCM tm (and thus his own) to the SRCM of the grandchildren of Babuji (SRCM of Shajahanpur) for thirty years, has finally ended by ruling in his (Chari's) favor and rejecting the claims of the descendants of Babuji. We expect other sources (more objective) to validate or invalidate this claim.

Link: The Descendants of Babuji Rejected? (in French)

Also, since its inception, the meditation method of Sahaj Marg was forbidden to young people under 18 years of age. The medium of Babuji has unilaterally lowered the limit to 15 years, says the SRCM.

Finally, the SRCM is about to inaugurate a new annual observance by celebrating Kamlesh Patel's anniversary on September 28th, in Tiruppur. This brings the total (birthday parties) to four, one per quarter: February 2nd for Lalaji, April 30th for Babuji, July 24th for Chari and now also Sept. 28th for Patel.

Sahaj Marg Proselytism: Be Contagious

Translation of article by Elodie: "Prosélytisme: Soyez Contagieux", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

May 15, 2015

Sahaj Marg Proselytism: "Be Contagious"

The number of our abhyasis is growing, a very special egregore is also developing dramatically; it has just begun and we are happy. (Whisper 04/03/2015)

In February 2015, Kamlesh bhai announced that the hierarchy of Sahaj Marg Masters had allowed preceptors from around the world to have new responsibilities to facilitate the growth of the Mission. (...). This is another way of working, made necessary by the growing expansion of the mission in the world. (Bulletin 16.3.2015)

Kamlesh bhai ended the talk with a call to one and all, "Just one abhyasi Bringing in one new abhyasi every year. So please try it. I will not say anything further.  Be contagious. Thank you." (Delhi Speech 04/05/2015)

Sthapati said: “In Sahaj Marg, as with many Hindu traditions, proselytizing is forbidden.” (11/05/2015)

 Be Contagious!

All the signs are there. From "Whispers" to Patel, all the signs point in the same direction. SRCM is relaunching its proselytizing crusade.

Kamlesh Patel has taken over the pilgrim's staff that Chari had to abandon because of his health problems.  Globetrotter guru, he's traveling the world to re-mobilize the followers of Sahaj Marg in a new quest for growth.

On one hand, Whispers and Patel announced that the Mission is growing, it becomes necessary to give more responsibility to preceptors to deal with this influx.   On the other hand, Patel creates an internet tool (Heartfulness) to attract the typical person and he encourages his troops to proselytize.

"In Sahaj Marg, as with many Hindu traditions, proselytizing is forbidden"?

One wonders where Sthapati went to get the idea that proselytism is forbidden in Sahaj Marg, when that always is its reason for being, at least in the minds of these successive gurus.

Upon his arrival, Chari tried to convince Babuji to conquer the West. He then used the preceptors as a small army of soldiers who bring ever more new followers.

More than the spiritual growth of individuals, Babuji wanted the Mission to reach a sufficient critical mass to "tip over" the world.

That Patel allegedly violates the rule against proselytizing does not seem to unduly inconvenience Sthapati. The latter then makes herself the champion of Heartfulness.org without the least restrictions. The Sahaj Marg gurus have always had an amazing ability to convince their followers of one thing and its opposite.

Extracts From Whispers

We do not work in vain, Sahaj Marg is growing and it touches the people with its simplicity of approach, but above all with the results that follow over time. (25/02)

The number of our abhyasis is growing, a very special egregore is also developing dramatically; it has just begun and we are happy. (4/03)

Much remains to be done; the number of abhyasis is growing, which points to the power of this mission in the future, as it is provided for the benefit of our members and, by extension, of their surroundings. (6/03)

Over the years the Mission has advanced and it extends into the world, it has structured itself and will increasingly do so more and more, according to its growing implantation. (16/04)

Preceptors From Around The World - New Responsibilities
Bulletin No. 2015.22 • Monday, March 16, 2015

In February 2015, Kamlesh bhai announced that the hierarchy of Sahaj Marg Masters had allowed the preceptors from around the world to have new responsibilities to facilitate growth of the Mission. These new authorizations do not replace the existing face-to-face practice for individual sittings, and group or introductory sittings. This is another way of working, made necessary by the growing expansion of the mission in the world. This results in the following changes:

1. New seekers are welcome to join a group meditation without previously taking separate introductory sittings.

2. Seekers may be introduced to the practice of Sahaj Marg in groups on consecutive days if individual introductions are not possible.

3. The preceptors can give individual sittings to groups of abhyasis simultaneously (at the same time).

4. The preceptors can provide remote individual sittings when necessary. These remote sittings can only be given if the preceptor has just received confirmation just before starting that the abhhyasi is available and if both sit for the sitting at the same time.

5. The preceptors can conduct remote group sittings in cases where there are no available local preceptors, or where the conditions are actually too difficult to participate, for example in case of bad weather. They may also include abhyasis who have good reasons not to participate in person at the satsang.

This new freedom requires caution and wisdom. For example, Kamlesh bhai said recently: "We should not reach that scenario where  someone would ask for a remote individual sitting while he is less than a kilometer away. No. This is what I will call an abuse of the system. You must be careful. The more freedom that was given to us, the greater also are the major responsibilities that rest on our shoulders."

The preceptors also received permission to give sittings remotely when there is a real demand and not in situations that defy the spiritual culture, for example, when an abhyasi wants to avoid taking a sitting with a local preceptor that he does not like, because it would lead to disharmony. Unity and brotherhood are the culture of Sahaj Marg.

Sthapati said:

“(...)
One very different change that is new to the Marg is our opening up (for lack of better words). Prior to now, we’ve been accessible and free to anyone who sought us – but generally only those who did the seeking on their own. In Sahaj Marg, as with many Hindu traditions, proselytizing is forbidden. And in Sahaj Marg, there have been times when remaining obscure even seemed to be encouraged so that purely and surely only those who really are seekers found our method of Raja Yoga.
(...)
But for Sahaj Marg that might be changing in some way currently. There’s a new “initiative” called Heartfulness that has me very excited about what the future of Sahaj Marg might look like.
(...)
we discussed how challenging it can be for Westerners to take to foreign concepts – in this case, Indian / Hindu concepts and vocabulary
(...)
and that most people in the West have no idea really what words like dharma, karma, meditation, and yoga ( to name only a few ) actually mean.
(...)
So now we have this “Heartfulness” stuff. And, for lack of knowing the best way to say it, Heartfulness is Sahaj Marg without all the foreign words. It’s the very basis and basics of our practice, spelled out in Western language. When the emails and newsletters were released to abhyasis telling us about this, I read over the new resources in detail. There’s practically no mention of our lineage or the heart chakra or raja yoga – in fact, I think in all that I read, there was only a single mention of our method of yogic transmission.
(...)
I’ll admit that my initial response was one of disappointment. How can you share Sahaj Marg without sharing Sahaj Marg?!?! And then, with the help of a fantastic preceptor, it hit me: We’re not sharing Sahaj Marg. Not really. We’re essentially performing one of Sahaj Marg’s highest values which is to find the end of religion and thereby experience the beginning of spirituality.
(...)
Surely, our entire community will be collectively motivated and encouraged in this way by recent developments.
(...)
The general / main link for the new initiative can be found by clicking here: Heartfulness.
(...)
A preceptor nearest to you will reach out to you.”
