Succession at the Head of Sahaj Marg

Translation of an article by Alexis, "Succession à la Tête du Sahaj Marg", on Élodie's blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

Succession at the Head of Sahaj Marg

A Smoothly Conducted Succession
(From an article by Alexis on his blog)

The governing bodies of SRCM have been diligent. In less than 4 days, the succession of Chari is finally determined. The fear of a repeat of 1983 was on everyone's mind.

So all the abhyasis are reassured, the future is assured.

Chronicle [Official] of 4 full days:

-Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari, 87, dies Saturday, December 20th at 21:45 am
-He (allegedly) sends a message to the medium the next morning at 10:00 am
-His remains were cremated Monday, December 22 at 15:00 pm and the Working Committee meets
-Tuesday, December 23rd, Kamlesh Patel made his first speech as president (titled: Fulfil His Mission), after the reading of the statement of the Working Committee decisions by U.S. Bajpai, Secretary General of the SRCM

[According to the official communication of the Mission]

Kamlesh Desaibhai Patel therefore succeeds Chari as president of the SRCM and spiritual representative of Sahaj marg, being the 4th master after Lalaji, Babuji and Chari according to the official story (recall for the sake of  history that Lalaji has never been the Master of the SRCM or Sahaj marg).

So theoretically all abhyasis are reassured, the future of the Mission is supposedly assured.

And, Patel immediately called for harmony and unity, deploring that those seeking God were more attracted by fame than the bandits and other mafiosis and that there were more differences and less unity within the Mission than among these people there (the bandits and the mafiosis)  ...

As if that were not enough, Patel returns to the image of friend and courtier of the rich, who according to him has stuck (glued?) to the skin of Chari throughout his life. He recalls this fact to deny it better? Or to start a new straight / duty inventory?

So theoretically all the abhyasis are reassured, the future of the Mission is supposedly assured.

And the messages (whispers?) from the  Brighter World fall daily in French and in English, made public at the latest within 24 hours. After the first message of the "final stage" dictated by Chari to the medium, Babuji has now completely taken over his role. Patel will only have to follow closely what is dictated for him to do from the Brighter World.

And so, on  December 26th: "(...) He [Chari] is considering new arrangements (changes?) to facilitate certain aspects of the practice; everything must be done in this direction (sense?), but we will come back to this soon  (...). "

And, on Dec. 27th: "(...) Changes will occur in the Mission: New rules will be established to facilitate its expansion and the means (plans?) of action on the material level, primarily for the incarnated Master and for the many servants invested at all levels.  Our dear Kamlesh will decide, he will do the best to fully meet the requirements of the practice and the incessant needs of all abhyasis; we will return to this (...)".

And on Dec. 28th: "(...) Many decisions will be taken; he [Patel] will constantly be guided and more (better?) enlightened about what to do. (...)"

So, who now controls the Mission? Patel, the 4th Master, or the medium?  Babuji and Chari from the Brighter World? (Heaven or the "Central Region")  All that remains to be clarified ...  but Patel may be but a puppet in the hands of others who are more powerful, but who still are hidden in the shadows.

So theoretically all the abhyasis are reassured, the future of the Mission is supposedly assured.

Yet the abhyasis admit every day to what extent Patel has remained an unknown to them.  The abhyasis, fanatical groupies of their star, had chosen Chari, the reassuring image of a protective and charismatic Father.   Will the sinister Patel convince them to stay?

So theoretically all the abhyasis are reassured, the future of the Mission is supposedly assured.

So much for Chari's nightmare in which he saw the Mission exploding into little pieces ...

The 4th Master of Sahaj Marg?

Translation of an article by Élodie: "Le 4è Maitre du Sahaj Marg", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

4d-Don says:

It appears that the Sahaj Marg "Businessmen Establishment", still count Lalaji as their first Master.   Babuji, (the real founder of Sahaj Marg and the Shri Ram Chandra Mission (Shahjahanpur-1945)), they count as the second Master of Sahaj Marg.   And Chari, who was not accepted by the Board of Directors of SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945) as Babuji's successor (and who later (1997) registered his own self-invented version of SRCM in San Luis Obispo, California, USA, in 1997, they count as the third Master of Sahaj Marg.

Now anyone who can count to four (4), knows that the truth does not lie in their fallacious claims.  Lalji has his own following with their many legal entities.  Beside, the teachings of  Lalaji, the first Hindu Master of the Naqshbandiya Sufi Brotherhood lineage, does not resemble the teachings of the Sahaj Marg of Babuji nor Chari.    And Babuji's family still do not accept Chari as their grandfather's successor;  much less Kanlesh D. Patel who the Medium recently called the "4th and Last Master of Sahaj Marg".

Judging by the many speeches of Chari (and of Kamless D. Patel (see exerpts below)) warning about the many internal discords,  I would say that the ancient Chinese curse: "My you live in interesting times", applies to Sahaj Marg and the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in spades.

Hmmmm!  Very Interesting ...

The 4th Master of Sahaj Marg?

Kamlesh D. Patel has been confirmed as the new president of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission and the fourth spiritual Master of Sahaj Marg, in Sahaj Sandesh dated Tuesday December 23rd and by the Mission Working Committee took note of this statement of fact.

He spoke the same day: first speech of the new master, at the request of the Secretary General, U.S. Bajpai. Excerpts:

"(... ) Harmony. Harmony is sadly lacking in our Mission. We must promise to him now at least, let’s not have any more differences. Differences are good, they are great, but they should not be escalated to the level of dislikes and hatred towards each other. We are brothers and sisters.

(...) There’s a greater unity among thieves, but it is unfortunate that spiritual beings who are in search of God don’t remain united. It is unfortunate that they still hanker after name and fame; they want to portray every little credit.

(...) He used to say, “I need no money from anyone,” although all his life he was misunderstood that he invited only the rich people. It is a shameful thing to speak about your Master like that. How many rich people were there, or are here today who spent time with Master in his last days, in the last few years?

(...) I gave these examples only to show you that if you at all had these ideas about Master, please remove them. It is a sin even to think like that, but sometimes we think like that because we don’t get to enter the gate. Out of anger we may think like that, and if we as abhyasis continue to have that anger, what sort of abhyasis are we?

(...)"

Despite this, we still know too little about Chari's successor. Until his biography appears, one can read: Le portrait de Kamlesh Patel se précise. (in French)...  or in English: At Sahaj Marg, the Portrait of Kamlesh D. Patel, comes into focus.

Chari's Children - Searching for the Re-Assuring Image of the Father!

Translation of an article by Élodie: "Les Enfants de Chari - À la Recherche de l'Image Rassurante du Père", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

Dec. 15, 2014

Chari's Children - Searching For the Reassuring Image of the Father

August 15, 2012, an aged Chari, sick and tired appears to abhyasis worldwide via a video-conference on the Internet to announce his resignation live in a gigantic bhandara (party) organized especially for this occasion. His departure is organized, his successor is now ready to take over.

The immediate amazement gave way to bewilderment and then despondency. Almost immediately, the response of Abhyasis fuse in the room: they refuse his resignation. The consequence of this refusal: the abhyasis condemn Chari to die at work.

Just over two years later, Chari is always in control. In the shadows, his successor waits for his hour. Yet the abhyasis have never been as worried about the future of the Mission. In their imagination, Chari is irreplaceable.

But, let us sweep outside our own door. Myself, in 2005, I criticized the Mission but defended "tooth and nail" the figure of the master, hence the original title of this blog.  I attributed the excesses of Sahaj Marg to internal problems in the organization and to "the Men", I was still unable to accept the idea that Chari bears a share of the responsibility for this failure. And even after having left it all, it took me a while to admit it; at least two years were needed before I began to rebuke him.

What is the dream of all abhyasis?  To approach, meet, touch Chari. We are far from the so-called spiritual quest which theoretically leads all abhyasis to Sahaj Marg.

The charisma of Chari can explain as expected, his ascension in the seventies, the eighties or the nineties, but certainly more his undeniable current success. But the (real?) reasons are neither charismatic nor spiritual; they are psychological.

There are not 36 possible explanations. The abhyasis need this living master which is Chari. They need a leader, the figure of the leader, the reassuring image of an authoritarian father.

Men killed religions (God is symbolically dead). Orphaned, Men (abhyasis?)  are searching for another master to replace him. Spiritual seekers are obsessed with the need for a teacher, a supreme and indisputable leader. They need the power of the infallible leader, the one who knows better than any others and who is guiding them. The abhyasis have found him, it is Chari, the most gifted imposter to pose as God.

Adherence to SRCM and Sahaj Marg is based on a misunderstanding, a mistake, a misdirection, a sham: the abhyasis are not really looking for the divine light that is inside of themselves, unconsciously they are like children looking for a paternal protection.

And as the child endangers his family if he does not submit to parental authority, the abhyasi who doubts endangers the Mission because he/she no longer blindly obeys Chari.

The Mission is not a spiritual movement, it is Chari's family, the reassuring figure which is both authoritative and paternal. Tomorrow, when the children of Chari are grieving again, orphans of their Father, what reception  will they reserve for Kamlesh Patel?

Eastern Spirituality and Sahaj Marg

Translation of an article by Élodie: "La Spiritualités Orientales et le Sahaj Marg", on her blog in Europe: Pour Que Vive Le Sahaj Marg.

December 7, 2014

Eastern Spirituality and Sahaj Marg

Most of all, do not misunderstand me, I do not reject all Eastern spiritual teachings, quite the contrary.

I left the mission and the teachings of Sahaj Marg, but I believe more than ever in the inner presence of divine light. The search for inner harmony, the unity of soul and body are for me essential teachings that guides me every day. I try with the means at hand, to make my whole life a spiritual quest that I know will never end. And I do not reject the benefits of yoga or meditation, whatever you may think.

While we Westerners discovered Eastern spiritualities, the Orientals were being caught by Western values, because of globalization. Chari had adopted the values of profit and of time passing, even before the beginning of his career in industry.  On the Western side, the New Age was significantly nourished by the Eastern experience.  But it (the New Age) was also an open door for many pseudo-gurus to profit greatly from it to deceive the ordinary people who were on a spiritual quest.

This will shock many of you, but Sahaj Marg is a very good example. It is a marketing product developed by Chari and his team for their exclusive benefit, under the guise of an Eastern philosophical varnish of Western New Age techniques.

They hijacked the traditional sense of the spiritual quest or journey by assigning it a specific purpose and emphasizing the need to reach it as soon as possible. They have diverted us from the inner quest for the divine by imposing an intermediary (the Master) who would concentrate (focus) it all, while leaving us only a few crumbs. They are ready for any and all sacrifice to convince and to win the adherence of the greatest number. They talk about experience, but they take the opportunity to sell us a dogma and its associated myths without one becoming aware.

Sahaj Marg is based solely on the experiences of meditation and the egregore. Its living guru distracts us from the divine within us to impose itself in its place, to put an end to all spiritual quest and to replace the quest with the approval of a Master who manipulates us.

When, while on a spiritual quest, one approaches Sahaj Marg, it is with a promise of an interrupted  spiritual journey.  Sahaj Marg imposes a living master instead of our inner journey to the divine light.  Sahaj Marg is not spirituality, it distracts the spiritual seeker of spirituality in favor of a man and an organization. To return to the path of true spirituality, there is only one solution: forget Chari, the Mission and Sahaj Marg.

Sahaj Marg, for spirituality, it is like the path inside a garage, a path with no way out (except backwards).
