The (alleged) Tremendous Growth of Sahaj Marg(tm)

Tremendous growth

At his death in 1931, Lalaji had 212 followers and the equivalent of ten preceptors, according to his grandson Dinesh Kumar Saxena.   His main disciples have spread his teaching under various denominations: The Sufi Path for his brother and nephews (Golden Sufi Center) like his son (NaqshMuMRa), the Santmat Path of Ramashram Satsang for others.

Having met Lalaji 3 times, Babuji was one of his 212 disciples.   Nothing more, nothing less. Unlike others who spread the teaching of Lalaji immediately before his death in Uttar Pradesh and all its surroundings, Babuji did not move until 1944-45. This is when he created the Sahaj Marg, an (alleged) refinement of raja-yoga.   Only his dreams show an affiliation with the teaching of Lalaji.  His teaching gradually gains a foothold in southern India. (Sister) Kasturi becomes his disciple in 1947, (Dr. K.C.) Varadachari in 1955, Chari in 1964 ...

 

Chari estimates the membership of the Mission to have been 750 abhyasis with a dozen preceptors at his arrival in 1964.   Eight years later in 1972, always according to him, there are not more abhyasis, but fewer (600) but already, there are 60 preceptors.  Finally, at the death of Babuji, we arrive at 3,000 abhyasis and 180 preceptors.

 

Obviously, these figures should be taken with a word of caution, since Chari is already using them to enhance his role in the development of the SRCM. Globally, between 1945 and 1983, they have gone from one preceptor for less than 10 abhyasis to one for 17 abhyasis.   Enrollment increased by about 20% per year, while the preceptors have not increased by 15%.   What is certain is that the Mission has spread across India, and it started to internationalize in the late 60s.

In 1991, K.C. Narayana, son of Dr. Varadachari estimated the number of abhyasis at around 20,000, and then in 1995, Chari declares the number to be 50,000, then 55,000 in 1997, 75,000 in 2000 and 250,000 in 2005, to return to 150,000 members at the end of 2011!  More seriously, because a list exists, the number of preceptors reached is:  1,129 in 1995, 2,377 in 2007 and 3,014 in late 2011 ...

 

Undeniably, the growth is strong, very strong, between 1983 and 1995: more than 26% annual increase in membership and more than 16% in preceptors. Then we get one preceptor for thirty (30) abhyasis, knowing that the gap is large between India and abroad (one preceptor for nearly 70 abhyasis in India, against twenty-one elsewhere). The framework is seriously  "to be desired" ...

 

Since 1995, growth has run out of steam. Chari took the opportunity to strengthen the framework, the number of preceptors increasing faster than the membership, about 6% annual growth in the number of preceptors, while the Indian membership grows by 2 to 3% per year and the number of foreign disciples by only 1%.   This brings us back today to one preceptor for less than 40 abhyasis in India, and for less than 10 abhyasis elsewhere.

Chari continues to appoint preceptors always at the same rhythm to reward his most loyal subjects while the Mission's growth is at "half mast".   At this rate, we should reach nearly 90,000 contributors in 2020 with 75,000 in India and 15,000 elsewhere, with over 5,000 preceptors or one for 25 abhyasis in India and 6 for elsewhere ...

 

They are getting carried away with their hierarchy!   Here we can see the limits of the system: 200 000 supporters today, 75,000 contributors for 3,000 preceptors, and nearly 250,000 supporters, or 90,000 contributors for over 5,000 preceptors tomorrow (the hopes and wishes of the pyramid acquiring more and more admitted "SLAVES to desires" brought in by other slaves ...)

 

At this level, multiplying the hierarchical levels is imperative. The preceptor no longer only plays a key role in the Mission. Being a preceptor is no longer enough to access Chari, who does not even know personally all those he has appointed ...

Sahaj Marg(tm) and the Japanese Earthquake/tsunami !

Hello to everyone ...

There are two Sahaj Marg(tm) preceptors (Colleen Lecour, and A.J. Born) from the USA and Canada who have been sending this prayer to abhyasis via e-mail ... This prayer from a Shinto monk from the Shinto shrine at Ise, Japan, made it to me.


You will no doubt notice that, like Chari and some members of Sahaj Marg (tm), they believe that prayers will save them from disasters, even those which are most likely caused by their (or our human) ignorance and arrogance. One does not build nuclear reactors at sea level in an earthquake and tsunami zone!

Adherents to Sahaj Marg (tm), like the "religious", who claim to need only the MASTER, their Messiah, for their liberation and salvation, now apparently need us, the infidels, the heretics, and the atheists who are not their true "brothers and sisters" so as to convince nature and/or GOD ... hmmmm! There is something perverse, (corrupt?) here! ;-))

Why this disaster and not others? Did prayers stop the flood at Babuji's Memorial Ashram? Will prayers really stop Natural processes?

I wonder how many investors in this nuclear technology are religious? Sahaj Marg-ees? Are wealthy members of Sahaj Marg(tm) investing in nuclear technology? Genetic Engineering? No doubt! If there is money to be made, then they, the capitalists are there!

We know that some Indian GURUS have been trying to attract European investments for research on "cloning" or GE (genetic engineering), or Franken-foods to India.

So all you atheists, pray for the salvation of the RELIGIOUS materialists and the SPIRITUALISTS! ;-0

They seem to think that it is the Earth (nature) which needs healing, and not men (THEM)! Oooops! ; -0

Sahaj Marg(tm) and Shintoism ... religions?

If anyone REALLY wants to help the Japanese citizens, they can send money, material and/or manpower!

What about the other "nuclear reactors" in Japan? What about the many reactors around the world? Those also in earthquake and tsunami zones.


Chari, the President of SRCM (California-1997) and the Master of Sahaj Marg(tm), sneered at the Pope because he offered prayers for AIDS sufferers; and he sneered at Bill Gates who donates some of his money to help AIDS sufferers, calling them "morally degraded" (hear the speech with sneers, on their Web site)!! And here that same group (SRCM California-1997) offers prayers to magically attempt to repair a "nuclear reactor" whose core could be in "meltdown" mode?

And of course, they also prayed for PEACE after attacking their own "brothers and sisters" and took over the ashrams of old preceptors loyal to Babuji and his family. (see article on this blog, and Exposing Sahaj Marg by Babuji's family on Youtube).

Here is a disaster of your own making ... You can do something about this one without praying for intercession from Sahaj Marg's (male) God! You can stop this impending disaster for one homosexual person created by your leader and your group, with just your word!! Speak it! ... or get the MASTER of your group, Chari, to Recall his HOMOPHOBIC speeches. If you can't convince the leadership of SRCM(California-1997) to stop discriminating against homosexuals and trans-genders, then you can make a moral statement and leave this racist, sexist and hompphobic "clan"!! .

MANIFESTATION OF SPIRITUAL HIERARCHIES

MANIFESTATION OF THE COLLECTIVE MIND

We live in a reality that is manifested by our very thoughts. Our collective minds have gathered around a common perspective of Time/Space, establishing a shared reference within the fabric of Ether. Beyond this thought construct, lies an infinite expanse that mind cannot comprehend. Within this construct, however, we share a common reference of Time/Space and share physical and mental laws and limitations.

The Collective Mind imposes a powerful boundary that limits the Individual Mind from venturing into the un-imaginable and potentially mind-shattering realm of the Infinite. Beyond the Collective Reality, the laws and rules that we have manifested do not apply.

When the Individual Mind suspends belief in the Collective Reality, it is able to experience the impossibilities that lie beyond. A mind altered by drug-induced hallucinations, sleep deprivation, dreams or mental instability, can stumble into a realm that appears very real, yet defies the constraints of the Collective Reality. The Individual Mind can also suspend belief through various mind-distracting practices, like meditation or sensory deprivation and have similar experiences. The influence of another Individual mind can also cause in the suspension of belief in another individual mind resulting in experiences outside the realm of the Collective Reality.

Regardless of the method, when an Individual is able to suspend belief in the Collective Reality, any experiences or resulting capabilities that defy the perceived boundaries of Time/Space are immediately discounted by the “rational mind”. These experiences are written off as coincidence, mass hypnosis, illusion, insanity or worse. When the rational mind takes over the experiences cease to occur.

We exist in a web of entanglements that lie within an infinite expanse. We each experience an individual and shared journey in that infinite expanse. Any experiences of this Infinite Journey are filtered through our collective and individual manifestation. It is possible to remain so entangled in our manifestation that we cannot even acknowledge the possibility of an Infinite Journey, let alone experience it.

In other words:

1. Our mind manifests the reality and associated limitations in which we exist
2. Our individual and collective manifestation exists within an infinite expanse
3. Every individual is on an Infinite Journey that is experienced through or limited by our individual/collective manifestation.

SPIRITUAL HIERARCHIES AND THE COLLECTIVE MIND

Spiritual and Religious Hierarchs use techniques that confuse or divert the individual mind from the Collective Reality, causing momentary suspension of belief. This results in experiences that defy the collective manifestation. Hierarchs reinforce the individual’s belief of inadequacy in order to establish dependency on the Hierarch for these experiences. It is an ancient technique and few who are capable of this can resist the temptation to claim their supremacy for bringing about these experiences

But it does not end there…

To create a Spiritual or Religious Hierarchy, the Hierarch focuses the minds of their converts to create an Alternate Reality - an Alternate Reality that overlaps the already established Collective Reality. This new reality conveniently revolves around the manifestation of Hierarch as the supreme sovereign. They create a trusted Inner Circle that reinforces the Alternate Reality.

Any thoughts of the Infinite Journey are obliterated. The Individual is instructed to accept the Hierarch’s manifestation as their own. They forgo any pursuit of an Infinite Journey in lieu of achieving some elusive goal established within the Alternate Reality.

This overlapping Alternate Reality sets up a parallel existence for those who participate in it. It is very real - with its own levels of achievement, always around some ultimate goal, only accessible to those who totally surrender to the Hierarch and his/her Alternate Reality.

Individuals who succumb to this new reality experience a sense of empowerment. They are part of something that extends beyond the Collective Reality. Any sense of inadequacy in the Collective Reality is replaced by the dependency on the Hierarch and his/her Alternate Reality. Participants in the Hierarchy cling to their new reality with a fervor that can be unsettling to those observing it from the outside. This is how Cults are formed.

The process of indoctrination into a Spiritual Hierarchy is as follows:

1) The Individual experiences nothing beyond the Collective Reality and either believes nothing lies beyond it or accepts that they are incapable of experiencing it on their own.

2) Through the association with a Spiritual Hierarch, the Individual has experiences that defy the rational mind.

3) The Spiritual Hierarch claims responsibility for the Individual’s new experience.

4) The Spiritual Hierarch reinforces the Individuals sense of spiritual inadequacy and offers guidance to overcome it.

5) The Disciple surrenders their thought power to The Spiritual Hierarch who uses it to continually manifest an Alternate Reality

6) The Disciple embraces the Alternate Reality and replaces the Collective Reality with it

7) The Disciple becomes enslaved to a new collective manifestation, but one that revolves around a Spiritual Hierarch.

There is speculation that some Hierarchs are sincere and truly have the best interests in mind for their disciples at heart. It is more likely that these Hierarchs are so entangled in their own Alternate Reality that they are unaware of the damage they have done. It is my belief that ANY Spiritual Hierarchy that claims to have a defined goal and insists that the Individual must become dependent upon the Hierarch and Hierarchy, only results in a new set of entanglements. The Infinite Journey is replaced by a finite goal that serves the Hierarch and his/her Inner Circle and Successors.
