All Are Guilty!
Chari is primarily responsible for the excesses of his movement. But showing his followers as victims and the guru as solely responsible would be somewhat simplistic. The abhyasis bear a heavy share of the responsibility in changing the behavior of their guru. Chari has not fashioned himself, his followers have contributed to his construction (formation). Today he is the result of a clever alchemy (chemistry?) between him and them, that results in the distorted (deformed) picture of their behavior and their expectations of him.
Agreed that Chari claimed the role of Babuji's spiritual representative at the death of the latter in 1983, and the presidency of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission. But Chari did not become by himself the Great Guru of Sahaj Marg, and the Lord Almighty to his obedient and servile followers, the equal of God. No!
No, Chari did not form himself alone. He also found people ready to call him Master with a great and beautiful CAPITAL, devotees to worship at his feet and erect him into the living God. Otherwise, he probably would never have dared to tell them to obey and serve him as he does so openly and directly today ...
It is his supporters who crowd around to see, touch and beg for a word from him. It is his followers who entrust with him all their most intimate problems, family and social, and ask him what to do. It is his followers who blindly obey him, to be under his thumb, even in their choice of a spouse ...
Without them, none of this would have been possible!
Already in 1983, Chari was power-hungry, but it was nothing compared to the autocratic Guru he has become in 2010. And this was made possible through the support of his followers, their idolatry and the sacrifice of their freedom. (see photos)
They forged the person that Chari has become! That is where he built his omnipotence ...
Mental manipulation has a strong back (broad shoulders). One does not manipulate well anyone but those who are willing to be manipulated! They needed a savior ...

Get a Life Don!. The basic point is you did
not 'love' your wife even after 35 years of marriage.
If you did, then you should not be upset as long as
she is finding peace in the practice of Sahaj Marg.
I practice the same and I am very happy with what I am getting from it.
My wife is not currently practising and she is okay with me
spending 2 hours everyday on Sahaj Marg too. We understand each person's
priorities and we respect that and happy the way we are.
I hope you understand this. I mean, really 'understand' this.
If you do, you will be happy too.

As usual, like most pseudo-religious, you speak from lack of knowledge ... Funny, I did not see you there in our "relationship"... You must have been "invisible" or using your "magical powers" ... Or else, you speak of something you know nothing about ... You just spew the Sahaj Marg(tm) "company line" and blame the victims ... much like the religious of the Catholic church and others did, and still do with their "victims" ...
Anyone can find peace anywhere ... If you at Sahaj Marg(tm) found peace then we would all feel it and know ... one does not feel "peace" in the Sahaj Marg (tm) clan... Shall we ask the family of the Founder? Should we ask Lalaji's (your adi guru) representative? Shall we ask Kasturi's followers?
Since you read my blog, did you read all the other blogs who did not find "peace" with Sahaj Marg? You don't think that I am the only one, do you? I am just more "efficient"... or more "in your face"!! ...
Many mafiosis and their "lackeys" are 'happy" some times too. And even Hitler loved his family ... but I would not become a Nazi to find LOVE ... Intolerance, maybe !!

Materialism has it's levels of happiness ... It simply is not from SPIRIT. Mentalism also has its happiness but it simply is not of SPIRIT ... and SPIRITUALISM has its level of happiness also, it simply is not SPIRITUALITY ... which you claim to be!
At the mind level:
"Would one rather be a contented pig or Plato?" (a thinking person)
At the SPIRIT level:
Would one rather be a contented pig (materialist or spiritualist) or SPIRIT, and/or practicing spirituality...
Sahaj Marg is a practice of Spritualism and materialism ... not SPIRIT and Spirituality...
Anyone can chose that ... I expose that some are not telling the TRUTH about what they are in REALITY, and that is not GOOD...
To not find love in Christianity or any other religion (because they have a "male God", and disrespect women"), and to "slander" all other religions but yours, Sahaj Marg, as your Master does, is a little un-loving, and "un-Godly" and at least, INTOLERANT! ... And they his stance on "gays and lesbians and trans-genders", who he calls "un-natural", as if HE is the standard of "Natural-ness" ...
All can do what they want... I want to expose "Materialists and Spiritualists" who claim to be Spiritual and Spirituality... I am quite happy doing that and that is a LIFE and a GOOD LIFE ...the life of a member of the "5th Estate"...the journalist of the PEOPLE... and I think I am being read and appreciated ... or you would not be HERE ... trying to blame me for my wife's choice ... and trying to get me to stop ...
We (the bloggers, which Chari falsely, like a mafiosi, calls: the "enemies of spirituality") already got the threats (legal, death, etc) and then we got the "dear brother don", and now we have the "wannabes" trying to exert their authority ... you are all wasting your time ... Go MEDITATE and become good people, so you will see the world and all the people in it, as being GOOD. If you see us as BAD, it is because you are BAD...is that not what you teach?
If you can teach "respect" to your followers and specially, "self-respect", then they would come on to our many blogs with some empathy and some compassion, rather that like you ...
Go home and meditate and stop trying to "conquer the Material world" and set up "your culture" and your business (Capitalist Spiritualism) under the false unbrella of being a charity and/or SPIRITALITY ... I understand you must have aspirations of being the next Master, but should you not be LOVING first ... or is being "of service" to the BOSS all you have to do to be "Saintly"? ...
Since we don't feel your love, is this your SERVICE to your "don Corleone", the mafiosi or Emperor Chari, the Master of the World?? Or is it "don Chari"??

One question that springs to mind when reading Krishnas comments is why is someone who believes in Sahaj Marg and practices the system on a daily basis reading a blog on which people discuss the faults in it? Maybe Krishna is not has happy as he makes out to be?!

Couldn't agree with you more.
I have been thinking of a "Challenge to Sahaj Marg (tm)" if they want the bloggers, which Chari calls falsely the "enemies of Spirituality", (or at least this blogger) to stop blogging about them.
What is it that I want ALL religions to do so as to not BE CORRUPT and exist freely under the umbrella of our hard-earned WESTERN DEMOCRATIC FREEDOMS, mainly the Freedom of Religion (belief, thought, Speech, gathering together, etc).
1. Don't suggest and/or demnand criminality. (remove the statement of your GURU, that suggests that one should obey and kill (or do any harm to) the innocent mother (or any person) if asked by the GURU) or any other person who claims to have god-given dictatorial" power. (divine right of kings (or gurus)) ...
2. BE Democratic, with all the rights and privileges that encompasses for ALL. (Any citizen of the World, including Women, and those of any race or gender, should have the right to become the LEADER ... no Nepotism, favouritism,elitis, old-boys networks, or other aspects of dictatorship in the name of democracy)
3. Stop disempowering minorities(women (can't be Masters), men of other "race" will never be Masters of SRCM (California-1997), gays, lesbians and trans-genders are not natural according to Chari, and abuse the "human rights legislation", marriages are arranged with opposite sex partners when they want and prefer a same-sex partner, etc...
4. Stop bad-mouthing other religions, cultures, philosophies, etc... so as to promote your "ism".
5. Stop pretending to be a "charity" when you are really a private "recreational" club for the wealthy and for capitalists who want to invade other markets and have an "obedient" market. (Capitalist Spiritualism)
5. Stop focussing on children and live by your Founders' guideline that only adults of 18 yrs and over are targeted for proselytizing, "endoctrination" and for joining the private recreational "club" that is Sahaj Marg (tm).
6. Stop calling God a Male ... or any gender. ONE (what you call God) does not favour any culure, any race, any ethnic group, not even yours...or IT is then not ONE...
7. If you are to be SPIRITUALITY, and a "spiritual club", then remove all the spiritualism in your constitution (sec 11, page 14), in your Club's modus operandi: Whispers, egregores, mediums, messages from the spirits of the dead, idolatry (statues of Ganesh, golden lion, statues of MEN, etc...) You practice "false advertisement"... and want charity for a "private recreational club" which does not deliver what you claim to sell. WE should report you to the Better Business Bureau with your "trade-marked" product for "commerce and trade" (Sahaj Marg (tm))
8. Be honest about your "history" and "lineage". To claim to be a "Raja Yoga" and begin at Step #7 of an EIGHT step system is dis-honest at best. And stop claiming Lalaji as your Adi Guru ... Lalaji has nothing to do with Sahaj Marg... WE ALL KNOW ...It's there in Black and white and the Lalaji family have it on their site... And SRCM (California-1997) is not SRCM (Shahjahanpur-1945)... That "take-over" was not done in the "spirit" of Spirituality which you preach... correct that...
9. Make peace with the family of the FOUNDER...
That's all... Then I will leave you to have your fun and will leave all (adults) to chose if they want to buy your product or not and even donate their time, money, or other "favours", which satisfy your "cultural" caste system of addiction to "POWER" ...

You are a gem... thanks for your accurate "intuition"...
I think though, that more than my love for my wife, is my love for our collective post-religion and/or "post faith-based" FREEDOM. It is a blessing to to be able to express my Freedom from my, now mostly and thankfully lost, childish innocence, which is always targeted and manipulated by the con-fidence men, the merchants of religious fantasies, and the "opiate dealers" of Religion, Spiritualism, and cults of personalities.
This is a time when one (I) can believe in the goodness of all, including and specially of those inside the religious or other societal pyramidal structure, the so-called, and many times self-titled, experts in "morality", ethics, etc. But, because of the availability and FREEDOM of information, I and all can now keep a life-line (link) to other "isms", as a way of verifying the claims of any "faith-based" system and thus protect my(our)selves from being "taken-in"... Those who make morality and ethics their bailiwick and who appoint themselves as "representatives" of God, or of some past Master who is now with God, must be taken to task and now is the ideal time to do that. Specially with those who use the scam of "SPIRITUALISM" as if it meant "SPIRITUALITY".
I was already confronting the Catholic Church and the Vatican (pyramid), before Sahaj Marg (tm) of Chari ... And I think that my first comments on the NET were around the Muslim religious militancy or "Islam". (before I started this blog)
This betrayal of our societal innocence and/or "FAITH" (our wanting to believe), was and still is perpetrated by many "pyramidal religions", betrayal which is not new to this age, but which has been going on for centuries and millenia before the recent "Information Revolution", and the more recent empowering of the "blogger", the "common Joe". Now the wrongs, the abuses and the flaws of the religious pyramidal structure, can be exposed immediately and in a real and lasting way (with the "hypertext", "links" to source, the search engines, and specially to be able to do it all "anonymously"... They (the power), can't shut us down. Chari has his "anonymous French lady Medium" ... well!! now we can be "anonymous" also and speak Freely ...
Even naming the members of the new (and REAL) FIFTH ESTATE, the independent blogger, as Man of the Year, (Time Magazine?) is a confirmation of that new shift of power and reminds one of the need for some of the "People" to use this power NOW, or lose it.
I tell my family that I owe it to all the young men and women who have been abused physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually by Religion. Some suffered in silence, some adjusted, some died (stress, suicide, family dynamics, inability to trust, etc.. ), but many victims are now fighting back. The GODMEN and the so-called: "Holinesses" are not un-touchable anymore. If they want respect, they have to earn it like the rest of us. We don't have to BOW DOWN to them anymore!
I know of, and now we can read about, many suicides and acts of violence instigated and manipulated by the abuse of power inside the PYRAMIDS of Religion (Christianity) with its "double-whammy" of power: Love and Obedience.... Add to that the "THREAT" of suffering for eternity in the after-life or in future lives, and one sees a pyramidal religious "tyranny" of self-appointed and self-deluded megalomaniacal nationalists and imperialists draped in the banner of "Sainthood" manufactured by, and handed out by themselves.
The love for doing this, (the blogs) is not only for my wife, who is FREE to do as she pleases, but for our society and our species as a whole, at our time of becoming a GLOBAL Society ... A FREE Global Society, not a Global "THEOCRACY" ... I hope! The tyranny of "the evangelism of the mono-theists".
I don't think our species is that "weak"!! Let us keep the natural survival mechanism of "bio-diversity" in mind ... It is a gift and a blessing. Being different is GOOD...

It's difficult to recover from spiritual abuse. Chariji doesn't care about people. I am here to say that one can recover. I feel so fortunate to be free from their "spider's web."
They are keeping people from the truth - from discovering their own power. Knowing what i know now about energy...it's sad that anyone would open themselves up to their energy manipulation.

The Freedom of the (religious) Marketplace is another tool to be used to educate the citizenry.
True, there are many lures and come-ons, and as PT Barnum would say: "There's a new sucker born every minute."
But it's also true that:
You can fool some of the people some of the time.
You can fool most of the people most of the time.
But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
Even some of the naive and the gullible do learn eventually and sadly, some don't learn soon enough ...
We can only raise the red flag and yell our warning in the wilderness (the wild west of the INTERNET), but the choice and the final say is and should remain with the "USER"...
Let us educate and empower the USER ... and make ourselves ready for the evolution of the transitional stage of the concept of representative democracy to a more REAL and DIRECT DEMOCRACY...(voting on the issues, in direct and binding initiatives originated and worded by the "USERS".)
